Amazing course so impressed with how it is built. I could honestly say it is one of the best courses I have ever played, and the price is very reasonable!
Beautiful views of the valley and surrounding mountains. Tasty food and excellent service. You get what you pay for.
Amazing setting, well layed out and it good condition. Fun course to play.
The newly renovated CNP Golf Club is fabulous. The new clubhouse is a welcome and wonderful addition. The views are phenomenal. The staff are super friendly and efficient and the food is amazing. I highly recommend this golf course destination to any golf enthusiast; You won't be disappointed. Double thumbs up! ????????????⛳????️♂️
Excellent course; experience absolutely obliterated by a poorly-managed, incompetent staff and overall dreadful customer service. Were immediately told (before we could even fully unloaded our gear!) that no outside liquor is allowed on the course as one of the employees noticed we had two coolers. Both our coolers were full of snacks and water which we clearly conveyed. Response: "ok, because they will go through your cooler!”. Hey, thanks for the warm welcome – precisely what one would expect after a 6 hour drive. Hit up first snackshack for a bite and bevvie. All 4 hotdogs, were given to us with wrong condiments. What is the ‘bacon’ you are using? It does not taste like bacon, does not look like bacon, yet it was scattered all over my dog. Hotdog: 2/10. Cold wiener, thick bun. After finishing our round, we were accosted by a staff member telling us we were not allowed to drink on the course and they will pour out our liquor if we bring it on the course. Staff had ZERO evidence we were drinking on the course, all of our beers (and shots) were purchased ON THE COURSE – again, why are you continually harassing us - is it cause we are approximately half the age of the typical clientele that was at the course that weekend? We weren't rowdy, or causing a disturbance, were dressed for the course and kept our pace up. Day 2 Arrived early, there was a 20 minute frost delay (no biggie, of course), yet…they “could not, and would not” give us our cart until 20 minutes before teeing off. Wait…what, why? The excuse given was that “due to COVID we don’t want too many people at the range”. Of course, blame it on COVID! 10 minutes after teeing off, we immediately noticed that we were being closely monitored by the player’s assistant. This man drove by us 3 times on the 2nd hole alone! The annoyance was exacerbated by the fact that I chunked my shot off the tee box, and as he drove by he said in snarky tone ‘wow, that’s not a place you want to be hitting from!’. O Each time he drove by he went slowly past our cart obviously looking for liquor. As we neared the completion of our first round, we stopped at the snackshack before hole 18, we asked the young lady at the snackshack if the clubhouse was serving food. Her response? “I don’t know…maybe”. Umm, at the very least you should probably know whether the clubhouse is serving food or not, and if you don’t, then perhaps you could call up to the clubhouse to find out. Upon finishing the first round of the day, we get up to the clubhouse in our carts and 55 year old ‘cart-boy’ hero with leg tattoo coming flying around the corner in a cart literally YELLING at us to bring our carts up to the top. Umm first off, where we initially had brought the carts there was a sign that said Cart Area so it was an honest mistake. This ogre repeated his statement twice before any of us could even get a word in. He was completely red-faced, meanwhile all we could do was stand there flabbergasted – how dare you speak to your customers like that? I was with my dad and we could not believe how he was behaving. Ogre even drove by us later and asked my friend 'are you OK now?' in a threatening tone. You can't even make this up. We were treated like criminals.. Burgers (single patty, bacon, cheese) – There were no fries. Ok, no fries – so then why are you still charging full price (presumably) for a burger? $16.00 for a single patty burger with more of that suspect bacon? Patties were pink throughout. We all felt sick and gassy during second round. Gotta cook the meat thoroughly, you could kill someone! My advice to management: Get EVERY.SINGLE.EMPLOYEE in a room and discuss a general communication plan. Recommendations: - Terminate your player’s assistance AND 55 year old ‘cart-boy’ ogre. If I ever saw my employee’s treat a customer the way we were treated, they would be terminated on the spot. Staff should NEVER antagonize customers. - Your staff should be thoroughly trained on how to greet, and speak to your customers. - Your snackshack staff should know whether the clubhouse is serving food.
WOW what a great club the course is spectacular the staff are amazing the pro shop is packed with fantastic options for men and women and the food was good not great but good I think the atmosphere and the clubhouse could be improved with better furniture (cafeteria chairs) but other than that it cannot be beat the views the core everything is great!
What a great course. Spectacular views. All the staff were great including the course Marshall who we met multiple times. Awesome selection in the pro shop as well. Will be back again for sure.
Most beautiful course I’ve played since Whistler B.C. It takes me out of Alberta and reminds me of B.C. Great scenery and a great course if you miss the mountains and trees. Food was also good at the club house.
Beautiful mountain course. Construction of new nine ongoing.
Great service and a beautifully done piece of prime rib
They have rejigged the course since we were here last.. It is a Beautiful course, and in great shape.. Only draw back .. The noise although a necessary evil of civil construction..very distracting Not the serene back drop you expect..
Beautiful golf course! Hidden Gem!
Golf is amazing! Restaurant is not good????
Beautiful!
Super cool course with great elevation changes and unique holes.
Beautiful golf course. Reasonably priced. Love it.
Awesome golf course.
New course layout is fantastic
New course is amazing. Too much of an price increase tho.
Beautiful views and jaw dropping scenery
My friend and I, Martin, spent a weekend fishing and golfing the crowsnest last year. The fishing was great, and the golf course was outstanding! For a forest course it was not narrow and difficult like some, and the views and layout are just beautiful. We plan many returns this year to see the new clubhouse as well.
Beautiful since the new course has been completed! Always a great challenge, awesome new club house, great food!
Wooow, beautiful place, fantastic food!!
Wow...exceeded expectations????????. I planned a trip to the Crow for three couples from Edmonton and one couple from Calgary. Hadn't played the course before, so my fingers were crossed. No need, it was spectacular, challenging and one of the best golf experiences ever. Reasonably priced food at the clubhouse and great service was a wonderful way to wrap up each of our two days of golf.
Friendly place to golf.. good food with a view. Good staff. Rentals available.. carts rentals as well .
A well maintained course with amazing views of the mountains!
Great course, challenging but fun. Food is good. Usually have a hard time lining up a good tee time that I can access their on course refreshments. Last time ordering from the kitchen while on course was a hassle. New carts and a bit of range time before the round is a bonus.
Lovely views, food and staff.
Amazing course! All the work they've put into the grounds recently is stellar and it plays like a true mountain track.
This course is breath taking. Beautiful mountain views. Spectacular shape. The greens are fast. But let's very down to the nitty gritty. The food here is real tasty. So far, I've had the nachos, the sirloin, the pulled elk sandwich and the meaty potato skins. The sirloin was under cooked and kinda plain. But that is my only complaint and thats not that bad. An under cooked slab of meat can always go back on. Everything else was amazing. Their nachos are so huge I couldn't finish them. Very delicious. The meaty potato skins are divine. But that pulled Elk Sandwich is heaven on earth. Who knew mixing pulled elk with blueberries a blueberry sauce with cheese and jalapenos would be so special. Go for the game, stay for the elk... or a tomahawk steak.
Beautiful mountain course, can't wait for the new clubhouse to be complete. Short drive from Lethbridge for mountain golf, can't beat the rate too.
Undoubtedly the best golf experience in Canada for $80! Bring your camera, and expect amazing service and value.
Don't worry about dressing up for this place. Casual is fine. The food was reasonably tasty, however the price for the Mother's Day Brunch was overpriced.
Love this course! The scenery is amazing and the course is a good challenge. Recommend for sure!!
Enjoyed the first taste of the new menu at the new clubhouse, delicious and enjoyable evening. Especially with Lanni Folkard's musical accompaniment!
Great mountain course!
good food, good golfing
Awesome!!
Wow! They have a beautiful course!
Great course spectacular views and wild life is always nice to see on the course. If you play from whites its a easy short course but its well maintained and a pure joy to play.
Friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful scenery and a challenging course.
Good food and large potions. My mother loved the gluten free flat bread!!!
Exceptional course, and the new upgrades are world class. Very premium, and cheaper than most other high end courses. My new favorite in Southern AB, and my new gold standard for course quality.
GREAT course conditions! Awesome rates through secondary rate providers. Friendly staff, delicious clubhouse food, amazing scenery. A++++++
Absolutely one of the top golf courses I have golfed. This course is one of a kind with the ups and downs with each hole and having your golf cart helping you rip around these awesome views. Course was in very good shape and the greens are true. The snack shake is top notice as well with all tall boys for cans so you have lots until you come around and hit It again. Hot dogs are very good too. We didn’t see a cart girl but with covid and all I didn’t think we would but the holes set up good so you hit the shake every 3 holes or so. Nice driving range to warm up before your round and parking lot is good size. Can’t take your golf cart to your truck though which wasn’t great. The restaurant was pretty good as well nice layout and service wasn’t to bad. They didn’t know how to make a paralyzer which blow my mind, but they had other good drinks. The patio is awesome too as long as the wind isn’t blowing. I will for sure come back and play this course again and would recommend It to everyone. Thanks team.
The girlfriend and I loved this course! Although a few holes were under construction they still offered alternate holes so we ended up playing the full 18. The staff were friendly and the greens were absolutely beautiful, we did it with a cart just because it was extremely elevated and long but very stunning views! Every time we pass this course we plan on playing it from now on! Challenging but honestly we played our best game together here. Absolutely loved it.
great little course off the highway. some interesting holes and challenging greens. course is under construction this summer so looking forward to the improvements to come. would play here again for sure.
Drove by and was able to jump on and play. Had a great time.
DO NOT drive by this golf course without playing it. We made that mistake many times until one day about 15 years ago when we finally gave it a shot. Honestly it did not look like much of a course from the highway. Needless to say we fell in love with the course then and managed to make it back a few more times but had not played it for 10 years. We had heard that they had recently finished a redesign as a mining company want the land that you see from the highway and part of the deal was they would rebuild the course. We will miss one of the best holes they had but the new design is well up to the standards of the old course. I believe this is one of the best hidden gem golf courses in all of Alberta. It was in wonderful condition, has a variety of tee boxes that are women friendly. I just love playing coursed that have elevation changes with rolling fairways in which you never have a flat lie. The greens are not huge but not too small so you better bring your best putting game with you. They are still building their new clubhouse and we cant wait to go back and see how that turns out. However we will miss the old clubhouse as it just seems to suite the course and area. Can;t wait to get back there!!!
Amazing course ever!! Loved and enjoyed! Definitely going again
We heard so much about this course that we decided to do a stay and play. We golfed 9 holes and then 18 holes. Both times the service was nonexistent, the course had lovely scenery and was in good condition but the design is odd and the clubhouse is underwhelming. So much more could have been done with the clubhouse. You have to take a cart because the walk between holes in some cases is very long, and if you play 9 you end up at the back which is no where near the clubhouse making it very difficult to get back while not trying to interrupt other players who are playing. Not safe! I would not go back, nicer courses for about the same price.
W O W We did the Stay N' Play with the Kanata Hotel (fantastic hotel) for our annual Ladies Golf Weekend. Played Saturday and Sunday - absolutely stunning! The course is just beautiful; tee boxes awesome, fairways incredible, greens fast and challenging. The check in process was seamless, lovely young lady helped us get our carts and photos taken:) Golf shop staff - great! Snack Shacks on the course were great with clean washrooms! Restaurant for drinks after - fantastic! We celebrated a HOLE IN ONE (hole #8) by one of the ladies. This course seems to be a hidden gem that is easily one of the nicest courses in Alberta! Thank you! Our weekend will be a memorable one for years to come! Cannot wait to go back! Maybe 2022?!?!?!
Excellent golf course!!
Gorgeous course.
Gotta say you can travel far and wide and golf some pretty nice golf courses thoughout BC and the states and iv golfed some stellar courses that have been outrageously priced and my game has always been rushed but golfing the crowsnest course has NEVER been rushed every single game iv played on that course has been enjoyable fun and NOTHING beats the views you get playing the crowsnest not to mention the staff out there makes you feel like your part of the family the new course is breath taking and it challenges every skill level of golfer dont let the trees and long grass that boarder the ruff scare you its worth every lost ball and every clean drive there really isnt a better more reasonably priced golf course out there and there isnt enough money in the world to buy the views you get from every single green! This is by far the nicest golf course/club i have ever played cant wait! To see the new club house!
Stunning views and genuine mountain course. Extensive renovations underway, disrupt back 9.
Fantastic course
An outstanding course with exceptional views! Highly recommend this course!
Beautiful
Great golf course as you approach the back nine the holes become even more spectacular. They have a few exceptional holes where you are hitting off what is essentially a cliff. The course really gives you those unique macho moments. This is a blast to play, if you’re in the area check it out.
Amazing scenery. Course is undergoing some renos but loved it anyway. Great value and friendly staff too!
Simply beautiful place to golf
Beautiful, challenging course; friendly service, good food. Would love to go again.
Jason and the staff are excellent! Great food and very well maintained golf course. Highly recommend!
Great service from staff
Lot of changes to the course with spectacular views. Greens were tough but in great shape
Awesome course can't wait to see the new layout
Undergoing major redevelopment including a number of new holes and will be amazing once the construction is complete.
Fantastic new design! Amazing mountain views and a challenging course priced reasonably.
OMG its so beautiful and the food was fantastic and such friendly staff. The Snedden wedding party are golfing there this AM.
The views and the people
Very nice course. Tricky setup but very picturesque. Enjoyed it very much!
The golf Crow is amazingly helpful and the staff are absolutely there for your enjoyment. Book this golf club and you won't be disappointed with the course or the views.
Great golf course. Beautiful weather the day we played. Really helped that we were paired up with some members. Can it be quite confusing to get around the first time. The club house restaurant had the best buffalo wings that I've ever had.
Great course construction is almost done looking great!
First off, what an amazing course! The greens, and holes are absolutely amazing, you can see that the maintenance staff put in an amazing amount of effort and pride into their work. Both of our rounds played at this course, we used the Kanata's stay and play, which is a great deal for people like ourselves that came to play this course from Edmonton on our way through to BC. Unfortunately, our second experience was less than satisfactory, I regret to report. The gentleman handling the carts in the mornings (numerous tattoos) refused to give us a cart to be able to go to the range and hit some practice shots, whats up with that? This individual obviously has a poor attitude towards customer service, and left a very bad taste in our mouths, honestly, don't know if we will come back after this experience.
Absolute beauty
Absolutely beautiful golfing lots of open space in the new Clubhouse though
Plays short off the gold tees as tee boxes are elevated. This course allows a driver all day long. The greens are fast and true. You have to hit short or just on the greens as they don’t hold. They are firm and fast. Great course and make sure you play it a couple times as it will be a lot easier on your scorecard. The food and service were top notch.
Course is in great shape! 10/10
Cart path only? It was very dry conditions. It was unfortunate that it was cart path only. The greens are in excellent condition besides the aerated greens (3 or 4).
Fantastic
great golf course
Awesome staff, course in amazing shape, all around great experience.
Great challenging course
Awesome golf course, pro shop staff super, starter was friendly and helpful. Surprised no beverage cart but snack shacks were good. Hate to complain on a 5 star review but we stopped to have a drink and something to eat on patio after our round but after sitting there for 15 minutes we were never approached or acknowledged while we watched 2 tables who came in after us get served. Our foursome eventually got up and left. Great day, great course and stuff happens with the clubhouse staff sometimes. Would still come back for the golf anytime!!
Nice place
Very much enjoyed the remodeled course. Incredible scenery. Enjoyable and challenging. Good greens. Must take a power cart due to distances between greens and tees. Lost contact with the "real" world while we we out there, which is a bonus. If you're anywhere near, or not so near for that matter, go play. I'd rate it ! ! ! !.
This course was stunning before they revamped it,but played the new course today and it has to be the most beautiful place on earth
Enjoyed it very much... great course.. we'll be back....
Amazing course! Absolutely beautiful and fun to play. Challenging, but choice of tees allow for anyone to have a good time.
Beautiful course. Top 10 I've played in my life and nestled in the heart of CNP. From scenic bridges, excellent landscaping features, and picture esk holes. This course is a must play.
Great day golfing!! Stopped for a delicious supper afterwards.
The new holes are stunning. Cant wait for the new clubhouse. This is a transformative expansion!
We are working our way to Fernie and decided to stop at crowsnest passing. We did the 'play and stay' deal so we stayed at the Travelodge and played the course the following day. It was for a good price so it was well worth it. Such a beautiful course!! It's in amazing condition and the views are impeccable. The only thing we weren't pleased about was being paired up with another golfer when there were other tee times available. But overall, we enjoyed our visit and likely will be back once the new clubhouse opens up! Thanks!
We have not golfed on the new course yet so we decided to give it a whirl. While the course was beautiful and in great shape, carts are not allowed on fare ways. Given this and the slowness of golfers who couldn't decide what club to use a few holes ahead of us and had to keep painfully walking back and forth from their cart on the path to thir ball, it really slows down the play. We had a T time at 4:00 in the afternoon, which should have given plenty of time for 18 holes. We only finished 9 in 3 hours!! Oh and twilight rate starts at 4:30, for speed of play it should start at 4. The marshal Lance did all he could to speed things up but it didn't help. That would be my only negative for the course. On the plus side, when the clubhouse comes into view from 18 in total darkness it is quite impressive, didn't have time to try the restaurant, which smelled delicious. We will definitely play here again... will just need to book T time way earlier.
It's a good course.
This is a great little hidden gem. Course is great ... greens a bit fast and tricky but definitely worthwhile making a visit. We will be back for sure.
Course was awesome with good value. Just re constructed the golf course and did a great job. Hole layouts were great. Food was a day old but not a big deal. Hope to be back. Greens are decently fast.
I'm speaking ONLY of the food and service in the club house. Me and my S.O. showed up for prime-rib Thursday later in the evening (around 8:00pm) for dinner. Upon entering the staff was friendly enough, but there was a serious small town vibe in the air that put me off - I personally did not feel very welcomed into the establishment and was hesitant to go any further. However, we persevered and had dinner...The waitress did not know the drink menu off the top of her head (it is what it is...I know memorizing 6 drinks on tap is hard) and then left without returning - instead, another waitress arrived and took our drink and food order. Now back to the prime rib...what I was expecting was some freshly prepared potatoes and carrots with a prime rib cooked medium-rare (the waitress said the kitchen couldn't cook a medium rare so medium would have to suffice, fine). INSTEAD what I received what the most overcooked potatoes mankind could create, seriously you could play golf with 6 of the 10 chunks that were present - so props to upholding the golf mentality although I think someone clearly missed the mark. The carrots were very clearly boiled and skinned with little to no flavor - how do you screw that up...have the cooking staff heard of garlic butter??? Finally, the prime-rib, which I was promised was to be medium, in fact came out to be rare-medium rare, and was cool to luke-warm at best. There was little-to-no- flavor with the prime-rib leaving me very irritated and wanting more. The meat was so cold that my S.O, a cook, thought that it wasn't reheated or placed under a heat lamp (C'mon kitchen, get it together) The waitress did come by to check up on us (exactly once between giving us our food and our bill) and asked how the food was. It was very hard for me to cover my distaste but I somehow managed to utter a "fine" (it simply wasn't worth anyone's hassle at now 845pm). From that point on I was very unhappy and wanted the bill, so the irritations are over now, right? No, instead of letting us know that we pay at the front (y'know as any server should) we sat and waited until we went to the front and paid - this is such a petty thing to complain over but good lord, our time here was truly atrocious. It's a good thing there's a nice view over a newly created course because honestly you may as well just skip the clubhouse. It's very clear that the kitchen doesn't care about how its food is prepared, and it's also clear that the serving staff could care less. I've been to other courses and clubhouse alike in Northern and Southern Alberta, and honestly, this is without a doubt, the worst experience I've EVER had at a golf course. Consider using the Sturgeon Valley Golf and Country Club as a prime example of how to prepare food and treat patrons.
Went to the Crowsnest Pass Golf Club today for the first time. The golf course was awesome. Beautiful views from every hole. The course was in excellent condition. Greens are fast so watch your putting. A nice challenging course. Had food after the round. I had a burger and fries and it was excellent. The staff at the course and restaurant were friendly and helpful. Can’t wait for there new clubhouse to be finished. Price was more than fair considering how beautiful the course is. I drove an hour and a half to get to the course and it was well worth it. Will definitely be back many times in the future. Would highly recommend this course.
Great course great views
Awesome new course
5 star golf course. 5 star restaurant with 5 star service. The rest was Meh.
Great golf course in perfect shape. A real gem. Good value. Plays to all skill levels. Excellent facilities and newer clean electric golf carts. Fair rain policy. Extra plus is the drive down HiWay 22 from Calgary….wonderful country. Also a good spot for lunch if you are on a road trip to BC. Add Crowsnest Pass GC to your list of “must play” Alberta courses. You will not be disappointed.
We were sadly disappointed with our meal. Prime rib was supposed to be medium, it was rare. About 1/3 was fat. Chicken fingers were only 2 fingers rest chips. Beef ribs were cold in the middle. Waitress did give discount on beef rib. That was nice. It will have to improve before we will return.
Very scenic golf course, great course to play on.Highly recommend stopping here for a round, you will not be sorry.
Fabulous beautiful new designed course with excellent fairways, greens and tee boxes, but the rough within 10 feet of most of the fairways and greens needs extremely treated! It's like hitting/chipping off cement! Great new golf carts, but very annoying with cart path only in effect, especially with most paths being on the top side of the fairway hills which forces very long walks and delays. New clubhouse is very nice! Definitely 5 stars for the clubhouse food with a great menu and excellent current price. Golf clothes and other accessories are definitely overpriced. Snack shack wasn't impressive. Pulled up in early afternoon and hotdogs weren't even ready and needed nuked to not cause a longer wait. Still costed 8 bucks for a microwaved hotdog and a coffee ????
Amazing course, every hole is challenging, fairways and greens immaculate, greens all play difficult. Views are outstanding. Price for play is excellent. Combine quality of course and price make this one of the top courses in Alberta.
Update 2 (January 2020): Course reached out and apologized for lack of response after initial follow-up. Course plans to implement marshaling policy in 2020 and provide customer service training to prevent others that may have experienced similar issues. Shows the course has a high standard for employees to meet the quality of course. UPDATE: Although golf course reached out as shown in comment below - they did not reply to my email following up. course was in excellent shape, hole design challenges your club selection and positioning. Greens played true and fairways simply keep you from the wildflowers that surround the holes. Significant rain did not impact course conditions. The negative review is due to the staff, specifically the Marshall of this course. Disclaimer I golfed with my dad who infrequently golfs as a twosome. After being delayed 20 minutes (no issue there) my dads first swing shanked into the bush and the Marshall decided we were his narrative and rudely said in front of many golfers ‘you don’t golf much do ya’. We were then commented on at nearly every hole and watched. Our pace was consistent with the group ahead and we waited minimally and played at pace. After following the posted 90 degree rule to reach our ball on the opposite end we were told to no longer drive any grass (although groups within eyesight were doing so). We kept pace with the other retirees playing weekday golf and finished the round in 4 hrs 10 minutes (including initial delay). Difficult to enjoy the views and the time with family when you have worry at each swing. Not inviting to the Amateur golfer, which is a shame.
Beautiful course and setting. Course in great shape with a fabulous pro shop and clubhouse. Food was really good too. Make it a point to play.
Very good????
A picturesque mountain golf experience. Quick hard greens so don't expect your ball to bite. Get it close or a three putt is almost certain! Impeccably groomed course although the grass is a bit short on the fairways. It was worth the trip.
Course is in great shape despite the renovations
Awesome food. Fish and chips are fabulous!
Wow is all I can say! I have passed this place many times and never stopped in to play! What a great track! Was blown away by the layout, views and amazing greens! If you get the chance, make sure and play it at least once. I know I will be back very soon!
Be careful when you book a discount tee time through their website.. its through a third party and its non-refundable. This is not clearly indicated when you book.
The golf course is great! One of the best in Alberta to be honest. The clubhouse and customer service is a different story entirely. Horrible! Apparently it's a real inconvenience to staff if you feel like having a few drinks and an appie after a round of golf. Our server was anything but friendly and the food was mediocre. We will definitely not be returning to the clubhouse restaurant and will go elsewhere after a round. Very disappointing.
This is a great mountain course for the $,played here a few times and just love it, the upgrades to this course makes it Outstanding, we will be back for sure.
