Hands down my favourite course in the greater Edmonton area. We'll cared for with an aquatic driving range, sleek clubhouse and pro shop, and a fmanicured course. It's not tough to take a solid divot here. You get a couple opportunities to test your "long drive" over the water. Br sure to check them out this summer. Well worth the drive.

The course was amazing. Good condition and very challenging. The driving range was neat as well. The big problem with this course was the GPS golf carts. Couldn't take the golf carts off the cart path. And twice I was on the cart path and it slowed us to a snail speed thinking we were on the fairway. The other problem was the GPS was more of a pain in the a$$ constant bilboard. I'd much rather walk the course then take that cart again. Amazing course...horrible carts!

This place is awesome. The greens, sand traps and the fairways were well kept, and the water hazards were a real joy to play around. The beer cart girl was really nice, and so was the guy who collected the carts as well. He even made sure to return one of my belongings I left in the Golf cart, so big props to him for being honest. I have to come back soon and enjoy another round before the season changes.

The course was great, until they started turning on the sprinklers while we were golfing. Water your course when there's nobody golfing on it. And this was around 3pm. It made the greens soaking wet. I was not very impressed.

As always the course is in great shape. Some of the best greens I've played on in a long time. Well managed. 18th hole is one of my favorites with the small lake encroaching into the fairway and partially the front of the green. Some holes have many sand traps to stay away from. The course is challenging but not overwhelming for the average golfer.

Easily one of Edmonton's most picturesque golf courses, you can easily forget that your this close to the city. This is a golf course that requires accuracy off the tee and requires you to hit quality shots into the greens. Bring extra balls - this course has water, tree lined fairways (did I mention water).

This is my first full 5 star review of the 2021 season. There isn't much that Cougar Creek does wrong. This course has a traditional atmosphere that I've come to appreciate. I was able to golf here on one of the nicest nights of the year so I'm sure that aids to the positive perception I have of this course. From the pro shop to restaurant, and cart girl to snack shack - the service was top notch. The course itself was in amazing shape. Tee boxes were well groomed, fairways were manicured, and there wasn't a single bad green. They also rolled true and fast. Its too bad visiting golfers don't take more pride in fixing divots, this I can't blame on the course. We had one rough tee box but based on how the rest of the course is maintained, I'm sure they are working on a solution. Bunkers had rakes, there was ball washers & towels, and no noodles. This was an experience that will have me raving about Cougar Creek in 2021. This is a 5 star layout and is a course meant to test your playing ability. If you're new to the game and don't feel like losing balls, I wouldn't recommend this course. If you're a regular golfer looking for a challenge on a beautiful course just west of Edmonton, this is your spot. I am making a point of playing a wide variety of courses this year while leaving in depth reviews, and as a Parkland is my home, I'm proud to say this course is currently taking the top spot. When you factor in the twilight rate, service, and layout - it's very easy to give this course 5 stars. Hot Dog currently also takes the top spot at 9/10.

Definitely in my top 3 favourite golf courses I’ve played. The greens have always been well kept every time I’ve gone, and the grounds crew makes sure to always stop when you are in play. The gps carts are great too. You can accurately judge your distance to the greens and make the correct club selection. This is great for me as I’m still trying to figure out this lovely game. The cart service is great as well. The girls come by often enough to keep you hydrated, and usually have a few snacks on the cart. The clubhouse is always clean, the staff is usually very polite and professional, and the food is worth the price. This course is highly recommend.

Lets start off by saying it is a very beautiful course for scenery.... however the 2019 greens are awful, previous years have been much better... definitely didn't strip down and sand the greens this year, very unfortunate. Artificial turf for the driving range is a turn off. You hit into the water which is a neat but there are no yardage markers in the water. The carts were just okay, outfitted with GPS and a touch screen is s nice feature but there were so many ads it made it much less of a treat and more of an inconvenience. As well there was no 90 rule but for some reason the group golfing with us had a cart who would slow them down and tell them to return to the path everytime they left it. Again in cart gps is great but ads almost make it unusable. For people who play this course ball marks and divots are rarely fixed on greens, fairways or tee boxes. Packed morning and no starter no beverage cart or cantina is closed as well as no marshal with full price expected. Unsure why it is called resort as well since there is no hotel.

Updated: 14-Jun-2020 I would love to give this course a higher rating. Cougar Creek is still one of the best tracks around but...they really have to do something about their greens. The tee boxes are in good condition and the fairways are the best I have seen there. They have had an ongoing issue with their greens for close to a decade now. It has been so persistent that I am not sure that it is just winter damage anymore. Maybe it is time for them to dig them up and replace them with some new soil and sod. That said, the first three greens were really good but a bit on the slow side. Then the greens became progressively worse, with most having winter damage to some degree and some were a patchwork of new sod. They are still playable but a course of this quality should have better putting conditions. Looking forward to going back later in the summer when the greens have some time to heal.

Played yesterday and won't be back for awhile. Greens are very poor having been punched whether late fall or early spring? Putts bounce up and down,left ,right. No point in putting. Also, hot dog and beer $13.

Played Cougar Creek for the first time in awhile as a couple of years ago the greens were bad. There is nothing bad about the course now. Greens, fairways and tee boxes are great. The only comment would be another set of tee boxes for a 5600 yd length as the 5900 whites can be long for us old guys. That said the whites were playable for this 66 yr old guy. The 3 others I played with agreed we will be back.

I really wish I could have given it a better rating seeing as how from the highway this course looks stunning. I golfed Cougar Creek on the 6th of July and the greens where in terrible condition. Not sure when there prime time season is but the greens had so much sand and dead spots you're better off just skipping the greens. For $40 Including cart for 9 it's a good price but when I golf I want better conditions. Oh and I just golfed the front 9 so maybe the back was better.

The head pro and the 2nd in command are really good at there jobs, as is the superintendent and his crew! They work really hard there! I wouldn't recommend staying for a meal though its not worth the price and the food is of extremely poor quality

Cart girl was doing a great job keeping us hydrated. This is now a bucket list course. We will be regulars here next year.

June 2019 - Unfortunately the greens are all in terrible shape and it is not a true test of golf to even play there. Such a shame because it used to be a great course. Pretty much make your approach shot onto the green and add 2 strokes for putting... no point in putting on a plinko board of dirt and nubs of grass. If you like putting on dirt or just not putting out at all, then this is the course for you.

The course is in very good shape. Check in was quick and easy under new COVID rules. I did have an unfortunate incident in the 18th hole. The clasp on my golf cart malfunctioned and my bag fell to the cart path. This led to my driver snapping in two. Spoke to Dallas in the pro shop. He was sympathetic to my concern and took my information. After some telephone tag I was well looked after. Great client service from Dallas and his team.

We had bacon and eggs before heading on to the course and all were booked perfectly! Looking forward to coming here again next spring!

The course is in great shape! Greens are spectacular! If you haven't had a chance to play Cougar Creek this year, you should hurry up a book a time before the season ends. Proshop staff very professional and friendly. Food and beverage staff friendly and efficient. Physical distancing measures are in place. We're planning on another round this season and Cougar Creek is on the top of our list for booking early next season. An added bonus this fall, maintenance staff has done an amazing job with clearing leaves off the course!
