Here you have all the opinions of people like you who are consuming the services and products of Canyon Creek Golf Course & Camping (Golf) in the area close to Alberta (Canada).
Right now this business has a rating of 3.6 stars out of 5 and this score has been calculated on 77 reviews.
You must have seen that the average of ratings that it reaches is really good, and it is founded on a high number of feddbacks, so we may be quite sure that the assessment is very accurate. If people have bothered to give their review when they are happy with the business, it works.
As you know, we do not usually bother to give reviews when these are good and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or issue...
This Golf is included in the category of Golf course.
Well the customer service has certainly gone downhill! We have camped here at various time with friends and family over the past 20 years. This time was the last time till there are new owners (maybe). It is for sale! We asked for our campsite to be accessible. So we positioned our motorhome by going in forward so we would be able to get together with our friends. Therein lies the problem. The “owner” came by after we were there for 2 days and said we had to back in-now. No room for compromise or accommodation for disabilities.. He said “rules were rules”! Too bad! So out we go never to return!
Fantastic 9 golf golf course with camping for RV's. No tenting allowed which is ashame if you have a large family
Not a fan of having to wait on the hiway practically to get in as 2:00 check in means 2:00 even if your site is empty so there was a large line up. Both us and our friends had big ruts from the rain in our spot which made it hard to park so obviously they did not get the site ready for a new check in. We were told only long term of a week or more stay gets full service yet the fellow in front of us was checked in for only 4 days. No refund or accommodation given for a medical reason for not being able to do 18 holes of golf. When u have 3 golfers and 2 carts u get charged for the full 2 carts. Rules r rules and every one of them r strictly enforced throughout the facility. Campground and golf course is very nice but customer service is off.
Dummies. Can't believe how our group of 8 was treated. Never going back again. Stay away.
We are frequent campers here. Great sites, clean, well maintained, organized and an excellent golf course too!!
Awesome campground and course.
The campsites and golf course were very nice. However, the lady that works in the club house is very rude and has no customer service skills. Very unhappy and disgusted with they way she speaks to the customers.
Great golf course and camping
Not sure why anyone would say there is bad service?! They have nothing better to do than complain! Greens were awesome and service was great!
The course was good and challenging.
Such a fun course to play! This 9 holes golf course will surprise you! The layout is very simple but yet super fun! Great layout for beginners! The fairways and greens are in excellent condition! Prices are reasonable! I would most definitely come back camping and golfing here again!
If I could give this course 0 stars, I would. Played here 3 different times. Thought it would improve eventually based on the negative reviews. Clearly the owners do not care about their reviews or how terrible their staff treat their customers. Don't get me wrong, the course itself is nice and in good shape and the RV park was decent. That doesn't make up for the attitude of the staff. Barely smile and the way we were treated this time... My mother-in-law just had wrist surgery a couple days ago. She cannot golf let alone swing a club. She was willing to pay for a seat on the second cart but the staff were stern with hefty attitude and said she cannot ride unless she pays a FULL green fees even though she can't physically golf. So, she went back to town. My wife was disappointed she could not hang out with her mother. Sure enough we finish our round and what do we see teeing off on the 1st hole? 3 people driving off on one cart. I don't normally write bad reviews and prefer to write good ones but the bad attitude that the staff has and the way they treat customers should be improved, vastly. Also, we were charged $200 initially for 3 people and 2 carts. Thankfully we noticed and got $80 back. Makes me wonder how often this happens...
Very very poor services.... just stopped there due to some urgency but they told us to go if we were not booked over there.... would never recommend anyone to go to such hostile manager and staff....
Nice campground if back in the treed area. Golf course is nice. Would appreciate a nice walking trail down through the creek area for bird watching! As 90% leave Monday of long weekend, checkout times could easily accomodate later departures. (It's private run after all).
Really nice campground but I don't like how you can get moved if a group comes in. It is well maintained.
Nice big sites
I want to start off by letting everyone know that I did read the reviews and my wife and I were hesitant to go there because of what we read. But I told my wife, "what the heck, I would like to meet this "Blonde" lady". Needless to say my wife and I spent 5 days at their campgrounds July 10-15 and we were both blown away at how clean and quiet this location was. I went over to inquire about golfing and asked the lady behind the counter what time is the earliest the time. She told me 8:00. I asked if I could go out earlier and they had no problem with that. As long as I knew that there would be staff working to make the course beautiful.....As it most certainly was. My wife and I will certainly be going to Canyon Creek at least once a year and I had the privilege of speaking to the owner (Blonde Lady) after I got home and she was wonderful. I can only ask that you give them a chance to impress you and I am sure that you will have the experience that I just had. I am not saying that some of the reviewers had a less than perfect experience and I wish that didn't happen. If you're camping you are part of the camping community and I wish you had as much fun as we did. Golf course is awesome and our neighbors that we had....Duane and Brenda, Thanks so much for your company and kindness. Thanks Canyon Creek and we will see you real soon
Very pleased with the Beauty of the course and pleased with the staff. Our last experience was great!
The course is in great shape, people are friendly compare to previous experience. I would return for sure.
Update: we enjoyed our time so much last year, that we are going again this weekend! We had a great experience! Beautiful campground. Clean bathrooms. Golf course is beautiful. We walked it...and hole 6 is a wicked climb. Lol. We had great service...not sure why others had such a hard time.
A good golf course but a lot of walking
Wow what can i say. Very nice campground ( if you are in the "ravine "). Washrooms very clean. Nice 9 hole golf course, not too tough, but enough challenges for a duffer like me. Reasonable prices
Beautiful!
Campsite was ok, people at desk very brusk
Was good, sites were very nice, course was Awsome, will be coming back.
Beautiful little campground, very spacious sites and a beautiful little golf course. During this Covid summer season, the attendant had to Book the golf course registrations, phones and RV registrations. It seems a bit slow but she was totally pleasant the whole time.
Average campground, below average golf course. Not family friendly. Called to see if I could golf on a very quiet weekday with my wife and our baby in a stroller. Not accommodating which is unfortunate, won’t be supporting their business again.
Nice Track I'll be back
I booked 3 spots in April of this year for full service . We went there the long weekend in September and when we got there all we got was water and power site. I went back to the office to find out why and the lady behind the glass was very rude. Then she told me that because we did not reserve for a week we got bumped. Then I found out that there was cancellations and we still did not get full service sites. I guess our money was not good enough for our 4 nights compared to 7 nights. Plus you can not get in until 2 pm even if the sites are empty. We will never go back there and we will spread the word how this campground is run
Absolutely brutal customer service by the lady at the golf counter. Brutally condescending. Played a few times and it is slow because the lady at the counter knows nothing about golf and tee times. Best suited for beginners or retirees. If you like to play golf, spend the extra $13 and go play Pine Hills.
The course and campground are beautiful. Unfortunately, the ownership/management are completely unreasonable. They are rude and inconsiderate. Terrible family experience. I chose my words very carefully when I say my children were nothing less than harassed when it came to the trifling rules they chose to enforce at this site. I will never visit this property again, ever. I only hope this message reaches you in time before you waste your time booking.
Beautiful golf course but staff very rude. Definitely not accommodating to customers. We're not flexible and no common sense. Campsite wasn't ready, grass very long with lots of dandelions. After getting setup they came along cutting grass so we had to move everything. Very disappointing.
Nice campground located right off Hwy. 12 Friendly staff, reasonable rates, large campsites, clean, quiet and lots of trees for shade and windbreak. Will be back!!
Awesome sites and good golfing
I am only giving a 3 because this place is not family friendly. Lots of grass which is awesome, but we had to cut our golf game short because our baby needed to go to bed and they were unable to compensate us or give is a rain check. Understand it was our fault, but they were extremely rude when we asked if there was anything that could be done. At one point the person who we assume was the owner, came over and very rudely told is we could not park our vehicle where it was. She could have kindly asked us to move it, but instead instantly came over and gave us trouble. Nice place, ownership and staff is rude. Dont think we will come back which is too bad because we used to came here weekly years ago
Absolutely horrible customer service. Our group will not be going here again, or at least not until the woman working the front is gone. I would recommend going elsewhere in the meantime.
Golf course is in great shape, greens are very fast
We have camped and golfed here many times over many years, we have quite literally paid out thousands of dollars at this location. It’s so unfortunate that a nice little facility like this is horribly managed and patrons are treated so badly. The way the owners conduct business is beyond appalling! They literally go out of their way to have confrontations with campers and golfers. They will look for anything and I mean absolutely anything including walking right through your camp stall to confront you and ruin your weekend! They even hide in the bushes on the golf course. I’m sorry Sheriff Rosco P. Coltrane but get a life! They do not deserve your hard earned dollars, save yourself the aggravation if you’re looking for a relaxing weekend this is not the place to “de stress”! There is nothing you can do in the campground or on the golf course that the owners of this place will not be nattering at you for! You leave here longing to get back to work so I think that says it all. I give everyone 3 strikes and then some, this has to be at least a consistent and consecutive strike 10. I can’t honestly say as far as dealing with the owners of this facility I have ever had one good experience yet. Unfortunately in the end this will hurt them more than me as you folks have seen my last dollar. I apologize for being such an inconvenience to you fine folks I promise I will not darken your door again. I never leave negative reviews but unfortunately this place has earned every bit and then some of negative feed-back that you are reading and I see there are many negative reviews!! BEWARE!!!
Lovely little course and campground. Rates vary reasonable. Pay showers but they were immaculate. We are coming back.
This course is beautiful! The staff work very hard and I appreciate the rules they have in place. It’s what helps to keep it as a peaceful setting without obnoxious people doing as they please, especially during times of Covid where staff have to go above and beyond with new rules and regulations in place (as all businesses do now). I read a previous review regarding the staff hiding in the bush...I only saw staff working diligently to keep the grounds beautiful. From many of the previous reviews I read, it seems some people will complain about anything and everything. Will definitely be returning again.
Very nice 9 hole course. Poor customer service in the clubhouse like others have stated. Also I was quite shocked and upset that they charged me full 'Adult Price' to take my 7 year old son out for a round. Not a great way to promote golfing for youngsters in my opinion. Especially while being associated with a family campground. It's a shame this course isn't ran a little better as it has great potential.
No offence but the old lady at front desk was so rude to me and my wife when we stopped at the golf course to use private facility. She refused us right on our face in a discourteous demeanor. It's such an unprofessional conduct by this lady. Would hesitate to visit this place in future.
My wife & I spent 3 days at CC , it was great despite the 1/2 day of rain. The campground has developed so much since we were there last & even though the covid restrictions get in the way a bit, we had a wonderful time. The golf course as always is perfect for us fun golfers except for the hill (lol). The staff were all so nice & welcoming despite the covid stuff. We will definitely return this year after all, Rocky is close with the best bakery in Alberta to make the trip REALLY worthwhile. 5 stars.
Beautiful sites, albeit ours was not level at all. Nice golf course. If you enjoy being screamed at and berated for inadvertently disobeying one of their many rules, then this is the place for you. For a beautiful, hot weekend around the first of July, this place should have been full. However, there were many empty sites, which, after the way we were treated, was not a surprise. I have been to many many campgrounds over the years and have had no issues with resort management. Very unfortunate.
Great staff and average golf course
Beautiful camp site. Lots of green space and big lots.
Great camping nice golf course onsite.
As Everyone is stating and I very much agree that the customer service is horrible, the woman at the club house is ignorant, rude, and knows nothing about golf! Was out golfing with friends there and we ran into some unexpected rain and when we inquired about a rain check, as most golf courses honour, she became very hostile and stated that no one does that and that I was lying lol, I told her that it would be best to post it in the club house and to make it known to the public that they do not honour rain checks, she laughed and requested that the manager come in to escort us off the property! Was appalled at her behaviour!
Awesome camping. GOLF COURSE IS THE BEST! Beautiful location.
After booking camping sites in advance we tryed to book tee times in advance also, but we were told no need to book tee times for the weekend, and to just call up to the clubhouse when we are ready to golf. when we got there to check into our camp site we tryed to book tee times again for the weekend but was told "there's no need and just call up when your ready to golf". Which when we did, they told us there was no golfing for the weekend all tee times were booked. And couldn't do anything about it and didn't care that I traveled couple hours to camp and golf all weekend but ended up only being able to camp.Staff were very rude and unaccomadating, nothing was available and not aloud to do anything at the campsite we rented. Will not be returning. Highly suggest taking your business else where. Ive heard from many others that they haven't shared any good times at canyon creek
Have been going here for over 20 years. Setup mainly for adults ie: no children's playground etc. Just golf. Golf course well maintained and 5 and 6 provide challenge.
Love this course...just as good as pine g lls...if not better!!
Camping was great perfect setting I the trees Course was very soggy so no cart mean hill on 6
Very nice golf course, friendly service on the food counter, but unfortunately Pro shop counter experience was very condescending two times. When we called a few weeks ahead, was laughed at as I it apparently was wide open and didn't need to book so far in advance, and again upon arrival when we asked if there was anything more we needed to know about the course as we had not golfed there before. I think she could use a lesson in customer service. You might have more return customers if you were more customer service oriented. It's not just about rushing people through, as the course is very nicely done.
Excellent combination of campground and golf course. Some of the sites have just water and 30 amp electricity, and some have water, electricity and sewer. Central shower house is also available to campers. Only a short walk from your site to the first tee. For a nine hole course in the country, it offers some challenging holes. To go along with some nice views.
