Quite simply the best Executive Course I have ever played....and I golf a lot in lot of different provinces and states over my 50 years of golf. I did not have the opportunity to play the big course but from what I can see it is well groomed, long narrow and a high slope rating....big lots of golf balls or suck up your pride and hit from the whites....trust me it still will be challenging unless you hit it over 300 and straight!

Very hard course, but well kept and very scenic

I have been playing here for more than 30 years. It gets better and better all the time.

Beautiful course Staff is awesome Highly recommend this ourse fun for all

Challenging, but fun.

Great course great food

Very challenging course. It is in excellent condition this year and is playing very well. Bring your 'A' game as it is very challenging from snyyT box.

Great track! A beast from the tips but fair from all tees. Great price, very well maintained. Some solid local micro brews in the clubhouse too!

They don't charge for juniors to golf which is very welcome, but in nearly two hours I didn't see a drink cart or a marshall. The nine-hole executive course is fun for juniors or new golfers and is very relaxed.

Beautiful golf course and great food

Great golf course.

Beautiful course, close to Edmonton with 27 holes to make a great day out of! Excellent hospitality with a pretty delicious steak!

Love this little hidden gem.

The lady at the front did not mince words and was a little rude to another client inquiring where the bathroom was that said she got us setup for a round and the golf was inexpensive. The executive coruse was nice and easy to play which was fun for my wife who does not play a lot of golf. The rental clubs are a joke ranging from 2000s JD wedges to 70s wood drivers, I'm glad she only charged us for one set because they were a challenge to play with and we're very unorganized in the shed. All in all a great little place to play some golf check it out of you want to play while you're camping.

I've played alot of golf in my day... This course is a must play! An absolute gem! The staff are awesome. Miss this place!

Can't wait to check it out next year

Beautiful location. Grumpy old lady working the cash.

Love this course, a pillar of the community, great people!!

Well Kept!

Enjoyed the golf course will be going back for more .

Was tough day but was fun, glad to have play 18 holes ????

Nice course. A bit dry but what can you do with this crappy weather.

Best Golf Course, in Alberta

The course was ok, but the service was horrible. The woman at the front desk was so rude. Making snide comments any time we asked for anything. They don't provide golf tees, as most other resorts do. No problem, we went in to buy some, and she rolled her eyes, sighed, threw down her pencil, and made a snarky comment on how we need to get better organised. We asked which golf cart we should take, since they had numbers on them and we didn't want to take some one else's, and she said "I don't care, just pick one!". We will NOT be coming back to this one. We'll find some where else to go, with better customer service. I hope she was just having a bad day, but unfortunately it seems like this is the way she treats people. The food was decent, and the waitress was lovely and helpful.

Can't beat $40 for 18 holes including cart. They are 45 minutes from South Edmonton. My burger after 9 was fantastic. Course is in pretty good shape.

Great tough golf course

Very nice camping sites great course..a must see

Great value for amateur golfers, and proshop restaurant has got some excellent chefs.

Small town friendly feel, first class grounds-keeping. Beginner golfers will not be overwhelmed.

Very challenging track... long. Narrow. And they keep it in good shape. True test of your game.

Outstanding golf course. Decent amenities.

Amazing fries and beautiful course

Ok

Great course. Friendly staff. Green in wonderful condition

Plays hard but in good condition for the end of the year

Taken the kids to the par 3 twice now. Lots of fun and they don't charge for juniors. Great way to practice the short game!

Love golfing here. Great course and great staff!

Great Course and Beautiful Views........ Had a super day and enjoyed a 8 oz Striploin that was to die for. Greta Service has well.... Judy is the Best!

A real gem, worth the drive from Edmonton if you're looking for a challenge. Even if you land in the fairway among tight tree-lined holes your unlevel stance may still be unfavorable as you approach smooth, fast and breaking greens. Take extra time before you tee off to consider hidden hazards and shot shape. Can't wait to go back!

Great people ????

Outstanding

Great test for your game. 19th hole was fabulous but bring lots of balls!

Great place for kids to play the executive 9.

One of the hardest courses I've played. Bring lots of balls. Relaxed atmosphere.

Friendly staff! A great place to meet friends and have some fun! The course is in great shape!

Nice course. Food always good and staff are great!

The Bull is one very challenging course. After the game it's great to sit on the deck enjoying the country weather. There is a nice executive 9 hole course who don't want the challenge of the championship course.

Fairly priced, easy to find.

I had my son registered in your Junior Golf Camp. When I called to register him I gave his age (7) and was not asked if he had golfing experience. I was under the impression that the camp was open to anyone regardless of skill. After our first day we were basically told not to come back....because my son was too small and not good enough. They were spending too much time with him and not enough with the other kids. (Yes, he sucked....but how will he get better if he's kicked out?) I was quite put off by this, as it seemed the instructor knew all of the other kids and wasn't interested in putting time into someone new. This was my son's first real experience with golf and he now never wants to play again. Your website specifically says "Growing the fabulous game of golf has always been important to the Black Bull." Obviously not true. I'd also like to point out that some info on your website should be corrected. There are two areas where this golf camp is advertised. One specifies age and states its $100. The other has no age and states $80 (this is the one I looked at when booking). Neither specifies skill. Perhaps it should just say “If you aren’t already a part of our club, you can’t sit with us.”.

Beautiful course, tough but not so challenging it's not fun, and the price can't be beat.

Awesome course and good food but has grumpy staff.

Great course, well maintained...play it !

Nothing fancy, just a great golf course. Perfect lake golfing. Tough course from the tips! Also has a 9 hole par 3 executive course perfect for young families.

One of the best and most challenging courses in Alberta. Great staff who are always friendly.

Good for new golfers I guess.very old course design ..most greens small and crowned.hard to keep a ball on green from any position.but again probably 60 yr old course.facilities and staff excellent.price ok

Old style course, nice play, greens nice shape..bring bug,God you got some big mosquitoes out there..lol..otherwise we enjoy ourselves..

The Executive course is in great condition. Excellent course at a reasonable price

Great staff, amazing prime rib on Fridays.

Great golf!

Beautiful golf course by Pigeon Lake. Has a small "Executive" 9-hole course and a "Championship" 18-hole course. Both have incredible views and are well maintained.

This course is so beautiful.

I played there with Sam, Cole, and Ryan, and it was a good time!

Made it before the rain

Beautiful course with plenty of nice, long holes. Great for any level of player and the location right next to the Village makes for a lovely getaway.

Best golf course in the province. Owners and staff are amazing.

This is a tough course to play. But great fun!

Great course. Greens in good condition

Killer course. Awesome hard and well maintained. But...campground has full services but is poorly maintained. Sewer smell permeated the campground. We had a fire and didn't blow up so it wasn't that bad.

Great people, loved the course.

Course is tough, but in good shape. Played the Champ course and the Executive....tricky greens!

Good place to golf

The greens are really good for this time of year. T boxes are rough need some TLC. More rain and heat will make a big difference.

Tough course if you spray the ball a bit.

Great course. A real challenge for the average golfer. Restaurant food is good fare.

Always a challenge and a great opportunity to see how good your game is. Course is in great shape but a little water laden.

The course is in awesome shape!

Tight, dam tight!

Loved it !!!

Solid 18 holes and friendly staff. The tree in the middle of the fairway on the 16th hole makes my slice look professional and intentional.

If the greens were a touch better, i could have easily gave five stars. Also. I had an expired groupon from 2016 that they honoured. So if anyone asked me where a great place to go i will shout them out

To expensive for the quality of the course.

Awesome Executive Course.. ????️⛳????????✌???? Good Round , Good Service.....????????☀️????????????

A very hard course and nice views.

Had a few nice meals here. Beautiful course. Even the driving range is elegant

Very beautiful course

Let me start off by saying, I didn’t have any expectations for this course as I never heard of it before, little bit of a jaunt from the city, no big deal as I like to try out different courses. Super easy and accessible to get to right off of the highway! The course itself was in pretty decent condition I would say, the layout was nice, challenging holes, Long par 3’s. I’m only giving this a 3 star rating because of a few things. I’ve played a lot of golf, from cheap courses to some of the most expensive ones. And this is not a 100 dollar course. Is it a standard now a days for range balls to be included with the green fees, They were not. Some carts I seen had a windshield and rear rain protector flap over the clubs, ours did not. Which isn’t a big deal if the weather is nice for the whole round. But we got lucky the dark clouds just missed us. We did not see one cart girl the whole round, it was 25 degrees out and the pace was a bit slow so having to wait till the turn to grab some refreshments is annoying. The throat sliders at the clubhouse were luke warm. The bunkers are also cement hard. Don’t get me wrong the course was good. But golf is also an experience, I understand a course being outside of the city could have a little bit more of its challenges, mabye with workers or maintenance, who knows. But if you’re gonna charge 100 bucks a round for people to drive around an hour to get there, then make sure it’s worth it. Especially when Dorchester is just south of black bull and charges a lot less.

Great condition, very challenging

Wanted to golf this course for a very long time! In amazing shape, all the challenge you want, the greens are consistent from putting green through all 18!! $55 Tuesdays with cart. Best value for what you get anyplace around by far!!

Beautiful golf course

Awesome place ????????

Was excited to play a new coarse. But was told that my group was going to slow and had to pick up our balls half way through the third hole. We were waiting for the group ahead of us most of the game anyway. Overbooked the coarse and rushed the players. Not fun

Excellent food great service!!!!

Fair price and nice course

Very polite staff

Beautiful course

Awesome golfing!!

Great course very welcoming staff moved our trailer here best decision

Absolutely love the staff and course! Nice and challenging, so proud to call this my home course! Highly recommend people comming to the mens open aswell that is a blast!

Nice course, nothing exceptional, prime rib supper was very good

Excellent course, greens were great but miserable staff

Restraunt is like a typical golf course snack bar. But the $24 prime rib special on Friday nights is the best deal around.

The range was good the staff etc we're accommodating friendly etc.

The staff are absolutely horrible, their organization when teeing off is nonexistent. The course is in OK shape not worth the aggravation though.

Nice

Great golf course great atmosphere!!!

Beautiful course, a bit challenging distance wise with some unforgiving brush surround the fairways. It was clean and the staff were friendly!

We had a great time .Awsome course . Thank you very much. And yes I'd definitely be back

Great course. Challenging and great price. Shot terrible and had a great time. Play again for sure

Had fun.... staff were very nice... food was wicked expensive tho

Amazing course, not for faint of heart. Bring extra balls...lol

Beautiful layout but you'll need a ball or 10 to play here. Keep it in the fairway. Love this track. The conditions are better than anywhere I have seen.

No handicap parking and bathroom in the basement.

Friendly staff and a overall nice course.

Good time with friends and Golfed so so beautiful day had fun.

A friend and I went there last Saturday evening for a quick 9 hole. We were rather late but the owner was so nice and allowed us to complete the back 9 on the Championship course. I've golfed all over Alberta and I will say this was a hidden gem. Top 3 courses in the Province for sure! So glad we were golfing in the neighborhood. We will be back for the full experience soon! Shout-Out to Trish!! Thank you & Amazing history story you gave me with this course and where it began. Much Appreciated and the hospitality!

Best golf and scenery. Great people good food

Great course, greens were exellent. Nice mix for all types of player

Great layout, big challenge with tight fairways... great staff and priced perfectly. Keep up the great work BB
