Been going here for the last 19 years. Last year they wouldn't do anything about selling me the wrong Pepper plants. No sorry, what can we do, just, it happens and wasn't our fault. So much for their one year warranty. Will never shop there again.

Best Nursery keeping plant on reasonably priced... I explored Art nursury, Port Kelles, 99 Nursuries... But This is the very best, Staff is super natural calm that gives you, your all answers politely with knowledge. I bought 3 trees, they charged only $30 dollar for delivery. Great Service, Best Staff and best Admin.!!!!! Keep it up

Our One stop shop for all garden needs. Very polite and good customer service. They help to select the variety of plants. Always listen to questions very calmly and answer all of them. I think her name is karen, if i am not wrong. She is always amazing. Would highly recommend this nursery.

Miles Carren and Terese are awful and the David Hunter store should be avoided at all costs. Terese is completely unsympathetic, rude and unknowledgeable about their trees even tho she is their senior tree expert. Miles the owner is completely unsympathetic and rude. Terese gave me the advice to buy the fruit bearing cherry trees she told me that the Angela type, which also had a sign saying this, were self-pollinating. I drove from white rock with my worker to mid Surrey to get the trees and then to plant them in Mission driving 150km spending $50 in gas and $80 in labour so $130 total. I was really happy with my purchase and looked forward to getting cherries in about 3-5 years. A few days later I googled the type to also see what the flowers looked like because of course Terese didn’t know the flower colour. She simply said in an unsure delayed tone, hmm usually fruit bearing have white flowers. But that is not what I would expect the TREE EXPERT to say. And I then came across on the web that the tree is actually apparently not self pollinating! So I called her and she then called the nursery and they said no it was in fact not! So a huge problem then as I could have been screwed with those trees and they would have barely or never produced fruit! She suggested I come back and buy another tree to make it pollinate. I said no that was not a convenient option and would not work with my design placement. I said I wanted to get a credit for the future gas and labour to return the trees and then get new ones and replant them. She said no that I was ONLY welcome to return them and get a refund, not providing anything for my trouble and the huge potential grave 5 year error that SHE made! I then said I wanted to talk to the manager or store owner and she said oh he isn’t here yet and said fine when will he be in. She said in about 4-5 hours so she said I WAS WELCOME to phone him then. So phoned him and he would ONLY agree to only a $40 credit to be used in the floor. A $40 credit on any retail product is maybe worth $13 max to him! So he was only willing to lose $13 for the grave error of me getting cherry trees that would barely or never produce fruit in 5 long years of waiting and waiting for the fruit to come to do his staffs gross error! Unbelievable! I paid $53.99 for those semi-dwarf trees and ended up getting excellent full dwarf self pollinating Stella trees for $39.99 at the Mission canadian tire instead. Plus the trees Hunter sold me were bare root, recently potted and poor quality. And bare root cherry trees of that size should cost only about $15! Never shop there! They are OVERLY priced and have terrible knowledge, are dishonest and are unbelievably unsympathetic and rude to any errors that THEY make and the trouble they cause!

Decently priced for the varieties that they offer. Very clean, spacious and organized. Their staff are very helpful. If you're buying bulk soil, be prepared to shovel it yourself. There are small slopes in the section of the flowers in the greenhouse, so wheelchair/stroller access may be a little bumpy. Their bushes are starter sized. Water plants also available.

I ordered a birthday bouquet online for my 86 year old mother. It was simple to use the website and we received same day delivery! My mom described the flowers as even more beautiful than I had imagined from the online photograph.There were extra flowers like hydrangeas which delighted us! I have used David Hunter before and am always more than satisfied! I highly recommend them!????

Very unhappy with our purchase and experience with David Hunter's Centre. My family ordered a sixty dollar flower arrangement to be delivered to my cousin and his family. We told the "florist" that this was a "Condolence/sympathy" arrangement and wished to have open lilies and pink Gerber daisies. We asked to have a picture of the arrangement sent so we could share the picture with the contributing members. When we received the photo we were shocked and disappointed; it had only one open lily, only a small handful of flowers, and two pink roses; no Gerber daisies. I wish I could show the photo to all of you to see how sad and empty this arrangement was and how overloaded with filler green. Don't be fooled, the photos of bouquets are NOTHING like the ones you'll see in-store or what you'll get when you request a specific arrangement.

Referred them to our website showing we are landscaper. Still made a big deal about giving us a discount. Obviously they didn't care that we were landscapers and there discount is bogus.

Specifically chose this garden shop because they offer delivery(very reasonably priced) because I don’t drive. It’s a beautiful space, lots of plants to choose from. We were moving into a new home and needed to redo the entire outdoor green space. I purchased trees, flowers, herbs, fruit/berries bushes and I love everything I picked up. The plants are sturdy and healthy, picked up pots and soil as well. Thank you for the great service! I’m sure I’ll be back again for more... highly recommended :)

Great little place for tropicals I almost overlooked. Kind of an unexpected treasure trove! Got a couple calatheas and hoya, for good deals. Lots of little hidden gems I almost missed as I was browsing. Their floral section is also beautiful. Awesome staff, very funny and friendly :) 10/10

I'd been looking for soil to get our lawn going again. I noticed yesterday that they have turf soil. Stopped by today and the staff was very helpful. Delivered my soil within 2 hours of purchasing and the driver was great. She dropped off the soil exactly where I asked her to. Great job. I will go there again.

They sometimes have a good selection of tropical house plants and succulents with fair prices. It’s a hit and miss but I always enjoy coming here anyway to check what’s in store.

Yesterday during the windstorm, one of our potted trees fell and its clay pot broke apart exposing its rootball. We drove to Art's and Port Kells nurseries and both were closed on Saturday 04 January 2020. So we took a chance and drove to Hunters' at 152 Street and 72 Avenue. It was opened. We were helped by two VERY knowledgeable and friendly ladies named Samantha and Teresa not only with getting a huge pot (got a nice discount too) but also answer a few questions we had about how to cut down our roses. Very happy these two were there to help us out today. Thank you Hunters Garden.

If you want quality this is the place to come although they tend to be more pricey compared to many other garden centers. Their nursery selection of garden plants, shrubs, and trees is not nearly as good as several other places because they are limited in acreage. Still though I recommend them.

I remember once a couple of years ago I had the pleasure of talking to the owner at a KPU job fair event, I believe his name was Miles. Super nice, genuine guy, loads of valuable experience in the trade. I wonder if he remembers that conversation, I learned so much about the horticulture industry in such short time.. amazing. Every time I go to Hunter's, I have the kindest interactions with staff members, who are all really well versed in plant knowledge and have good attitudes. I would recommend Hunter's to everyone, even when browsing, it's a pleasant experience.

I come her every year in the spring for all of my gardening needs. I usually even call ahead to make sure my favorite herbs are in stock. They are always kind and professional on the phone, as well as in the store. This year in the spring, one of the gardeners approached me while picking out my mints/spices, and friendly recommended me something called Parcel (a mix of celery and parsley). Without this recommendation, I never would have discovered a new addition to my summer salads! It was really tasty in soups too. They seem to be the only local place to carry Vietnamese Coriander, so please keep this in stock for me next spring!!! Hunters Garden has everything that you would need to garden, and being open all year round is a huge plus as well! See you next spring, or maybe sooner!

Helpful staff are always around. Plant selections are varied and well-chosen. They do not stock hundreds of the same cultivars. That is OK with me. This store is not geared to the needs of contract landscapers. Roses are well represented: Austin Roses for rose snobs, say. Some thoughts have been given to what they carry, I get the feeling. Not merely sure-sell items only. This outlet has plants for shade, like Art Knapp, Garden Work, Art's Nursery, unlike Home Depot. Pickup loads of manure, bark mulch, soil are available. Seed packets for those inclined to grow from the scratch. A few garden knicknacks, if any. Oh yes, parking is adequate for this store.

First time went there horrible customers service. I got couple of cucumber and one of them died so they did not substitute back and there was old lady working for Hunters Garden gave to most none sense answer ever. She said you should not planted out side these are not for outdoor. I asked her you telling me these people are buying they have greenhouse at home, she said yeas they all buying them for greenhouse lol. That was complete BS answer. I don't really recommend them.

Honestly the worst customer service. I have been trying for the past 3weeks going on 4 weeks now to order a product she said she would have in store in 2 days. And every time I seem to call and check if it has arrived I find out it hasn't been ordered or that person has left for the day and or is not in store to speak to.
