Just tried this place for the first time and it was amazing! We ordered wonton soup, deep fried chicken wings, shrimp fried noodle, beef lo mein, chicken with mushrooms and beef with black bean sauce. Everything was cooked perfectly and was so flavorful. One of the best wonton soups I've tried. The shrimp fried noodle was probably my favorite. I was so surprised with how much meat we got in our orders, nothing like other places that just loads it up with veggies with little meat. Will definitely be ordering again.

had takeout tonight I ordered 2 batches of chicken balls ,1 beef +broc,1 beef +grn pep, and 2 batches chicken fried rice. overall the meal was good though the chicken balls could have been a little less doughy but I am satisfied. Had a little trouble ordering due to the woman on the phone not speaking english very well but was sorted through real quick. nice big portions sent more than enough to feed 5+ people

Ordered food for Feb 14 pickup 5.30 pm arrived at 5.20 to pick it up got it at 5.40 came right out of the kitchen and given to me. Got home 5.50 with the food it was stone cold had to heat it up to eat it. It was also way over cooked the food was horrible the egg roll tasted awful the wing tongs were soggy and rubbery the chicken fried rice was in lumps because it was all stuck together because it was over cooked. No mixed veggies in the fried rice , the chicken balls were as hard as a rock , the red sauce was stone cold , the ribs were stone cold Just awful wouldn’t recommend them to anyone

Extremely accommodating staff with a great home-cooked feeling! My wife and I both had ordered dishes off their combo menu and it tasted better than any Chinese food we’ve had before a lot of the ingredients tasted real!

Just had a local home delivery, the dim sum is gorgeous and I can believe my main shrimp Cantonese noodle dish will be as well. So going to order from them again, "Thank you Star Rose Garden" I was too tired after work tonight to cook etc.

This place has great menu options. Allot of difderent combination plates for individual ordering the most i have seen in a Chinese restaurant.. Although its very difficult to enter if you are a person with a disability or stroller. The entrance is not suitable for any of that. Great won ton soup amazing flavor theh actually use broth for there soup other places i have had won tong soup from has had watered down soup. Not here sweet and spur sauce is on point. They do deliver so that helps

Been there 3 times now on a recommendation... I love their beef and brocolli. Tried their mushroom fried rice for the first time as well and it was very flavorful and delicious. Owner seems like a nice guy, greets everyone with a smile. Seems family owned and they deserve good publicity in my opinion. Will be going back for more beef and broccoli soon :)

Best Chinese food in Welland. They give you lots of food. It is so fresh. The broccoli meat and other veggies are all big pieces. You definitely get what you pay for. It is our new go to Chinese place. I wish I would have tried it a long time ago

Service is good. But the food... YUCK! Got chicken fried rice, some of it was still plain white rice, it had a weird texture to it as if it was cooked in a microwave and kinda sticky. Chicken balls ok but not great. Wont go again.

Sadly, this local restaurant has lost us as a customer. When we asked to have food placed in separate containers, we were told that it was a "hassle" and that they would do it if we paid an extra $2.10 per combo to accommodate us. They have done this for us for several years but now we are a "hassle". Won't be back.

Food is excellent - if you are able to handle a bad attitude. I won't be spending another cent here. I've been a loyal customer for years even before the new owners. They can't even do simple substitutions for an up charge. Ridiculous. Learn some customer service skills and treat your regular paying customers with some respect.

This was my go to restaurant years ago for Chinese until old owners sold it. Looking at menu I decided to try them. Wow so many choices on menu and as my mom recently had a diet change with salt restrictions I could not find a restaurant in Welland that offered this in Welland. Well I did on Friday night they have a good 6 options for salt sugar and msg restrictions. We ordered steamed chicken and veggies,. Steamed rice,. Barbecued pork and wonton soup. Big pieces of chicken,. Nice fresh crisp vegetables and I finally found hot Barbecued pork. Wonton soup had quite a bit of wonton's and nice big mushrooms and we got so many crackers with it. Food was all super tasty and portions are quite large we had enough for next day. There menu has alot to choose from they even have dim sum and mu shu pork. This will be my new go to for Chinese. Can't wait to try everything

There's not a lot of Chinese eateries in the are and this one does not cut it at all. The staff were nice but that wont cut it. I found a hair in my food. The place needs renovation and you can see into the kitchen the ladies working without hairnets. I feel bad because the guys in the front were really nice to us and apologetic. It seems like some place that people go to a lot.

I have been ordering from this restaurant for quite sometime. I always order the same thing Beef fried noodle and Chicken with vegetable and almonds. Today I opted for my food to be delivered, and when my food arrived (an hour and 10 minutes after I called) I realized my order was wrong. I received some rice with egg in it and beef with vegetable and almonds. After calling back the restaurant their solution was to make chicken fried noodle to replace the rice, send the rice back with the delivery driver and eat the beef vegetable dish. None of which is what I actually ordered. I understand that mistakes happen but it should be rectified and I should have been sent the food I actually ordered not combining dishes that I did not.

I ordered lemon chicken with rice and egg roll. Got home at noticed that I got sweet and sour pork with really dark rice. I called and told them I got the wrong order. She said bring the food back ( in a covid pandemic) and get my money back $13.56. I drove back there with the food and she said she would only give me 10.00 back. Never go to this place!! It is a rip off!!!

My experience with star rose garden wasnt the best prices are different then on the website chicken fries rice not bad but the chicken in it tasted like fish messed up with my order and said I was wrong when I called back I can be honest and say I will not be back do to the reason the food is out right garbage for the price i paid
