Helpful staff and great products. Have stopped buying gardening tools from Lee Valley and am investing in a Structron commercial setup. I have yet to invest in landscape lighting but they have a good selection and I will definitely check it out. Irrigation prices are very fair and staff are very knowledgeable.

I used to really like this place. I've been here many times over the last few years. They have a good selection of products and generally the prices are good. Depending on who you deal with the customer service experience at the counter was spotty, but generally fine. It did not bother me until today. To the point that I decided to walk away and not purchase from them anymore. Here is what I experienced. I purchased some materials yesterday, and went back today to return a couple of parts and get some more stuff. I had 2 parts to return in plastic sealed packaging that I did not even open that I just bought yesterday. I noticed a difference in the returned amount, and when I asked, I was told I was charged a 20% restocking fee! I asked why is this happening, and was told abruptly that this store policy and that there is nothing they can do about it. I said, how come, since I have been here many times in the past and never got charged this for occasional returns I made. I never returned used products, just few pieces each and there that I did not need and not used. I was told that this is the policy and it’s written on my initial invoice, which is true, and apparently on their website… I guess technically they are right, but I said, listen, I did not know about this, this is a change, also for what I returned given everything is sealed and just bought a day before, can you make an exception… No exceptions. I was passed to the store manager, who lacks any type of customer service manners and skills, but for which his skills are compensated in spades with arrogance and rudeness. Regardless, although technically they are right by the policy, the strict application, and complete disregard to my situation as described above, and the really poor treatment I received as a customer as far as I am concerned, made me so upset that I decided to leave and not purchase the additional materials I needed. So good for you for making an easy 20% on a $30 return (that is $6, but it’s not the amount that matters, but the unreasonable treatment), but losing about $200 that spent at a different place today… and that’s just today. It’s too bad this is happening… things were not like that. I had good interactions with fox there, including with Bruce in the past. Anyway, everyone makes choices, and so do I as a consumer.

Excellent store with great, knowledgeable staff and a huge inventory of parts. I just attended one of their seminars, this one on Micro and Drip irrigation presented by Bruce Carter. Really good couple of hours, well presented with lots of good, understandable information, but without any pressure to buy - (although if you go elsewhere you will be wasting time and money.) I highly recommend this store as well as their free seminars

I particularly like the blu-lock Irrigation pipe which is environmentally friendly & recyclable. Otherwise if you need drip irrigation systems to be efficient with watering they have all irrigation parts.

Sold me the wrong punch tool (and arguably the wrong pipe) for a drip system. When I was buying the tool I even asked “will this work?” and they assured it would. This tool did not work and that created a whole bunch of issues with the installation. I ended up needing to hire an irrigation contractor to ‘fix’ the system. Wes-Tech were unwilling to offer any sort of compensation for ~$150 of wasted / unusable materials (due to incorrect tool). They were aloof and dismissive in my attempts to seek some type of resolution claiming no responsibility for the issues. So disappointing. I expected much better.

I purchased over $1000 worth of irrigation supplies. I went to return the excess parts that were not used. They told me they could not take them back since it was over 2 weeks since purchase. The items were still in the original package, unopened. Wes Tech told me I needed these items as they designed the system. Their return policy is ridiculous, what is with the 2 week policy, can everyone dig, install and return in 2 weeks? Buyer Beware, I would not use this company again.

Never a good experience dealing with these guys! NEVER. The most arrogant and rude staff imaginable. It's run by teenagers. HAPPY as ever to take your money - then massive run around waiting on parts and delays. After the 3rd order date screw up we just wanted our money back - but NO you can't have a refund as we ordered the part - too bad the 10 day estimate turned into 2 months and waiting. Seriously take your business over to Van Isle where they actually know how to run a business. Dreadful store and zero customer service!

I recently dealt with WesTech regarding the purchase and installation of an irrigation system. I have never experienced worse customer service. The staff was rude, arrogant and extremely unhelpful. I will not deal with WesTech in future. Response to Owner Bruce Carter’s posted response to my review: The item I attempted to return was in perfect, unused, condition, and was eminently resalable. I prefer to deal with businesses with more courteous and helpful staff, and more reasonable return policies. From experience, I know this to be the case with Lee Valley, Home Depot, Castle, and Lumber World. Finally, it appears that your wife Beverly posted a very positive review of Westech on this website, to which you posted a grateful response, without either of you disclosing the relationship between you. If this is the case, shame on both of you.
