Super tasty food. Very great value. Left absolutely stuffed! Best egg rolls I've had in ages. The beef and broccoli was very well cooked and full of flavour. The fried rice was simple yet delicious. The sweet and sour sauce was classic and worth the try. Chicken balls were stuffed with chicken and not just breading. Dining room was clean, quiet and had a lovely atmosphere. The staff are extremely kind and courteous. The food came fast and they were concerned with our stay and ensured the coffee was topped up and food was good to go. 5 star will go back for sure!

They remembered my order, even when I didn't. I loathe soggy chicken balls, they are disgusting. I always ask for the cherry sauce on the side. Forgot to order it that way, however, they remembered my number and order, months since I last ordered, and gave me sauce on the side without having to ask for it. Best service in Summerside, bar none. I'll be ordering from them more often now. A++ ????

Great food. The menu is pretty western chinese food but it is all done well. Egg rolls are crispy and tasty, soups are overall pleasing. Portion sizes are very large for the price. Service is prompt and staff are friendly. The interior decor is Asian themed and tables are spaced well apart. Seating is generally ample as well.

One of the few locations that serves local P.E.I. ginger ale (see photo) & this restaurant comes highly recommended from the Settlers and newcomers residing the area. It is located minutes from the Summerside Boardwalk. This family owned restaurant is super friendly & has prompt service. Many options to cater to individuals, two people/couples (as indicated by photos), small & large groups! Note: Expect the phone number to be busy during the holidays.

Prompt service, however food quality was low. When I asked about what was in the different dishes, about 6-7 different veges were mentioned as being in the meal, however once it was served there was only 3. Not enough sauce or garlic etc added to make it flavourful or authetic. Incredibly basic. Disappointed

A generally consistent restaurant though as noted by other reviewers the menu is a little less than traditional. They have a great staff who are very friendly and excellent portions for the price. A very pleasant atmosphere for inhouse dining with food that is far from disappointing; even if it isn't considered the best food in the world the generous servings and fantastic staff help create an enjoyable dining experience

Very dissapointed on Mother's day. Came to restaurant 2 hours before needed my order. Was told, they were busy and asked me to leave my phone number, so they could call me and took my order. Of course 2 hours later and no phone call, i went to restaurant and was told they could take my order ,but i had to wait another 2 hours. So we had to start looking for another dinner options elsewhere. Completely forgot about me. Not a first time....

Chicken balls - hard like rock Beef and broccoli - very dry, no seasoning Chicken lo mein - very dry, flat Spring rolls - half cook, unknown filling, awful taste Only descent item I truly enjoyed was fried rice, oh wait it was lacking ingredients as well!!! Please hire cooks that has passion for food!!!!

We have been huge fans of China Star since they were first opened on Central Street. When they closed because of a fire, we were so disappointed. In all the years we have been going there, we have never had a bad meal. One of the waitresses doesn't tend to listen but the owner is always quick to grab our order to make us happy. Make sure you try the Shang-hai noodles, best anywhere!!
