Though it may not be true, but somehow I developed an impression that 50% of the customer service is cold/not nice at all. Customers' optics are important for that's their reality. The WORST, definitively, is the customer service on the phone...it's so far 100% bad------NO ONE ANSWERS (try it yourself)!!!! I've tried for THREE weeks calling....what's going on Sheridan Scarborough?? If you're too busy, at least give us a prerecorded message to greet/update us that you're still running around like chickens without the heads....don't just let us ringing the phone for nothing :(

Great store and staff. Got here at closing time with my kids to get a Christmas tree. Not aware they were closing we tried to rush to get a tree, one of the staff members were very understanding and allowed the kids to look at the Ornaments and pick out the ones they wanted without rushing them. The gentleman who wrapped our tree also took the time to offer help and was not in any hurry. Very impressed with the professionalism here and am very grateful our experience was still meanful and special for the kids!

They have a variety of plant species ranging from colorful indoor and outdoor flowing plants to succulents to tropical to bonsai to airplants and roses and pine. helping staff and I should definitely give a special mention of their free tutorials on various gardening interests

This is the place you go when you need something special for Christmas, if you need the perfect tree & you know what you want, not the wrapped up surprises you get, called ???? live xmas trees at the grocery store. I luv their selection of wreaths & ornaments & unique items. The trees are top notch, the best you can find & so many varieties! This is the place to go for quality & the prices are great, items are on sale now. The staff are knowledgeable, friendly & so helpful, they are happy to walk you through the store... Help you create the perfect custom wreath/arrangement, it's wonderful. Lots of parking & easy location.

It's a smaller location but it definitely had everything I needed. The only reason I took off a star is because the indoor plant I went in to get, all had some sort of cosmetic damage. I'm not talking the normal blemishes, I'm talking broken branches and such.

Came in here today, got in the line. A very pleasant lady came up to me to ask what am I looking for and notify it will be a couple minutes late, which is fine. I told her I'm looking for cat grass seeds. I waited in a line for 20 minutes, outside on the unheated area under the rain. Then, went inside and had to wait another 15 minutes to get into another section of the store. The other lady didn't even ask or tell me anything. At least it was slightly warmer. When I came to the stand with seeds, there were no cat grass packages. I asked this last traffic control lady and she said that there's no cat grass in the store and the truck in coming the following week. Wasted 30 minutes, got cold and super wet for no reason! Changing the review only because the first person could save me this time and from getting cold by saying they don't have this product. So careless...

My wife and I did NOT feel welcome at this location. Because we were non-white, we could not get the attention that we required. First of all, no one comes up to you and says "Are you finding what you need?, Do you need any assistance?", and secondly, we made our way to the first cashier, she was attending to a customer, the girl behind her never said "I can help you over here at the next cash", we had to ask her. Some appreciation of all humans would be appreciated! For ____ sake, it is not a designer store, where they think that you would not be able to afford anything! Come on!

I purchased two plants , one of them got dried not sure why . When I tried to return them as it was under the warranty the lady in black attire (area manager ) was rude she was adamant that I was not watering the plant properly without hearing my part of the story . Felt like she was being racist!! There is no fun or profit to return this plants she should understand. I am not at all interested in their gift cards . Instead I wasting my precious time to visit your store as there was something wrong with this one plant . If I wasn’t taking care of these plants properly then I would have returned both together . There was problem with one of them , you guys need to figure out rather that blaming me . I have been buying plants from this location but because of this racist area manger I would never ever come back . Learn to treat every customer with respect instead of judging them with their colour/race.

Every year at list 4 times a year a go shopping at Sheridan Nurseries. Today was my first visit ,I had no problem lining up in the sun , and when I got inside looking for vegetables plants to buy,there was none. It is beyond me why they don't put Signs out side saying no vegetables plants are available right now ,so people don't have to line up for nothing. Just because of this I give them 2 stars.

Bought trees (lots of choice) at this location and opt for delivery. There was a mistake on one of the tree delivered. After a week of struggle over phone and emails (I learned later that they were short staffed due to the pandemic), we had to drive back to the actual nursery. I directly spoke with the manager who understood my needs very well and was able to fix the situation and the missing tree was in our garden within the hour. Thank you Karen.

Very dissapointed with the orchids I ordered myself. Both have basically died due to cold damage! No response from the store upon contact with my concerns. As of 02 11 21, I was contacted by the nursery. They have apologized, and are sending me 2 new plants for tomorrow. I'll keep you posted!

Sheridan has a great selection of plants, friendly and helpful staff and unique gift items for sale. Just be aware that if you ever need to refund an item, it is mandatory that you give your phone number to get your money back. It was only when I paid and went outside to pick up my soil that I noticed I was sold the wrong soil in error. I immediately walked back inside to get a refund and was told that the system wouldn't allow a refund unless I gave my phone number. Two separate staff members did not know how to override the system (apparently staff are told to discourage refunds without a phone number) so a manager had to be called. I was told the reason for a needed phone number is because all purchases are attached to it, so you never need a receipt to return something, as it will be on file. This practice may be great for frequent buyers and avid green thumbs but it is not conducive to those that do not like to share their personal information, only coming in to buy a few items. The refund process took 20 mins as every item needed to be entered manually. I prefer establishments that have no nonsense return policies.

I was happy with my plants that I bought from them. They gave me full warranty on the plants & trees, giving me less stress if my plants don't grow . Overall the staff where friendly enough & helped me out the best they could with my questions . I recommend you give them a try, they where very organised & plenty of plants to choose from including various fruit trees & sizes! Enjoy!

My favourite place for indoor plants shopping. They have variety of indoor and outdoor plants. Staff is very helpful . I was looking for air purifier plants and lady in indoor section helped me and guided me for buying plants. Sometimes there is offer like 20-30 % off on plants. Edit : you might find plants costly here but quality is awesome ????

I bought my wedding bouquet here and it was one of the best and easiest decisions for me. Sheridan was very accommodating and put absolutely no pressure on me when making my options, even for a single order. I picked out the types of flowers I liked from their selection, showed them a picture of the shape of bouquet I'd like, showed a picture of the colours I liked, and then gave them a price to work with. Two days later I picked up my bouquet. There was a small communication issue with less purple flowers than I'd asked for, still, the bouquet turned out beautiful and it had more flowers and elements than I expected for my small budget ($60).

The customer service was not the greatest and they didn't know their products and still had an old sale posted. We had a cart full of herbs and ended up leaving everything there. Not impressed.

terrible customer service,s tarting with 2 employee encounter rude responses to my greeting, unprofessional, poor selection of plants and not competitive pricing for end of season. Employees have little knowledge of their plants, the "expert" gives contradictory information of the plant characteristics and front staff more interested in making sure plant has a warranty that to actually confirm the information with expert, and giving customer the sale price quoted by the expert. absolute waste of time, frustrating encounter, and complete loss of confidence in this so called "nursary". PAY attention: time to retrain staff in proper customer service interactions and social cues-if your customer seems frustrated by your responses its time to stop and get the expert/manager and offer the client what they were actually quoted instead of arguing on plant type which you know nothing off. learn what a perennial is please.

Sheridan is excellent for its selection of annual and perennial flowers as well trees and shrubs. Quality and selection is usually good and other seasonal products are good quality. I go to the Ellesmere Road location and that's where the picture was taken. It may be hard to see but there was a hawk sitting in top of the carts trying to figure out how to get at the sparrow ensconced in the carts. I like the company but their prices are starting to make me look for alternatives.

I've purchased 9 plants since the end of December. So I can't say I've spent a lot here or that I've been a long time customer. I've emailed them twice on different occasions with no reply at all. I've tried calling multiple times to order plants, but nobody ever picks up, so I've asked my wife to call in to order since she's had better luck than I have in contacting them. The last time we called, she was told they don't take orders over the phone and to place the order online. It might just be me, but I find their online catalogue hard to use and it doesn't have everything on their site. They were quick in charging our card after the order was placed but they have not told us when we can pick up the flower we ordered. We originally wanted to order 3 plants, but only 1 of them was on their online catalogue, and no reply when I emailed them asking about the other 2 plants. This is going to be the last time I purchase anything here. Going to take my business elsewhere. It would've also been nice to know that they allowed customers inside to shop. It would've been nice to know there was an option to be able to pick the plants that I wanted, leather than them handing me bags and be surprised at home.

My wife willingly dragged me to my third GTA Sheridan Nurseries store today. The large parking lot was virtually empty which was great for social distancing rules to be easily followed. Staff outnumbered 8 patrons, us included. We took a small shopping cart to use as our shield in case the situation changed. It didn’t! You will pay a little more but they stand behind their products; plants, trees, etc. This Scarborough location felt like a warehouse unlike the nicer Etobicoke store which we went to last weekend. Nevertheless, staff were friendly and helpful. The selection of flowering plants was disappointing but they had plenty of herbs for $4.99 each. The deal of the day was 6” indoor potted tulip plants regularly $8.99 for only $3; choice of pink or red. Checkout was fast and they already had my phone number on file (for a tree I bought before).

Love this nursery in Scarborough, tons of variety. They have indoor and outdoor plants. It can get busy on special occasions, but line moves because it's a big space. Great gift ideas available. We love this nursery in the city. It has plants galore in the spring summer and fall - lots of things you can’t find elsewhere. There is a fun gift area that is large and seasonal - you are sure to find a present for someone (or yourself)! A wide selection of pots, gardening gear, seeds and decor adds to the buying choices. It isn’t always the cheapest but they have an online sign up for coupons and special events. Sheridan also has a calendar of events to check out and enjoy. The Christmas set up here is not to be missed!

I asked if they had any plants of that nature and was told to book an appointment. I booked and came in. When I went there I asked the ladies working in the greenhouse where the cat friendly plants were and without even looking at me or helping me they just said no without effort, no checks in the database, nothing. I drove for 20 minutes to get there. It was very disappointing and quite unhelpful. I don’t think I will come back, I wanted to support local businesses but I found friendlier service on Amazon and will be getting my plant from them.

Very helpful staff. My girlfriend and I have no clue about plants at all, she wanted a plant to put in this nice planter she got from work. David at Sheridan Nurseries was great. After a few simple questions he told us a peace lily would be perfectly suitable for our apartment. He even took some time and explained how to take care of it. Overall a great experience at Sheridan Nurseries. The greenhouse is organized and the plants have labels that tell you if it likes a lot of, a little, or not much direct sunlight. Super easy getting in and out, lots of room inside the store to keep social distance. Lots of parking and close to the front door. There was even a greeter at the door haha ya sure its dumb and I'm usually a grump but sometimes it's alright to get a nice "Hello, welcome to the store"

I had a great experience with the staff at Sheridan nursery Scarborough. I found a beautiful climbing rose plant ‘Rosa Eden’ on their website and I new I had to get it for the garden. They did not have it on Easter when I called; however, a nice lady took my contact and called back promptly when it arrived and I was able to order it over the phone. This was during the time of Covid-19 where strict social distancing rule were in place. They only had drive though pick up on site at that time (may 06,2020), but they were really nice and let me walk in and do a curbside pickup. I really appreciated how knowledgeable and how caring they were during this unprecedented time. I just want to say thank you because it is nice to know you all were still working behind the scenes so we can get our plants and tend to our spring gardens. Thank you, Gary

I am giving Ellesmere store in Scarborough only 2 stars. I ordered some items on using the Online website, stating the Ellesmere store in Scarborough, which was easy to navigate. They sent an email saying, " that someone would call me within 2 to 5 days when the order would be ready for curbside pickup" Well, 7 days later no call, I sent an email asking when my order be ready. No reply, did the same the following day..no reply. Tried calling on the 9th day, was told to leave my number and name. Then was told the I could not leave a message. Tried a few more times that day... same response. Decided to call the Etobicoke store, to see if they could let me know if my order was ready. The phone was answered and a lady was very professional and polite. She replied, yes it was and that it was sent to the Ellesmere store in Scarborough... Day 10 tried calling the Ellesmere store in Scarborough early in the morning could not get a hold of anyone and was unable to leave a message. As I have not been able pick up the Critter Ridder and the Scoot (great product for deterring rabbits and raccoons). Approximately 12 to16 sq.ft has been torn up. I am now going the store to try and pick up my order. I appreciate that they are busy, and with Covid-19 regulations. However, there has been zero customer service from the Ellesmere store in Scarborough.

A wide selection of annuals, perennials, trees, herbs and veges. There is also organic vege seeds and plants. Some of the plants are pricey like the herbs and veges, so shop around before you go. There were no pro lems with the perennials I have purchased from here. If you like gardening, check it out.

The staff have on shirts. 'We are here to help' , however they are not allowed to help because of the virus ! We are all wearing masks. I asked June who was wearing a full face shield and standing near approximately 30 variety of grass, if they had 'Zebra grass' . She told me to read the tags. The only polite members were the young men sanitizing the carts. I frequent the various garden centres and will not be going back. This was the last $50 purchase from Sheridan Nurseries.

I’ve been coming to this store for many years now. Their plants are good quality and they also give guarantee. When a couple of the perennials I bought from them died, the exchange was painless. A a couple of days ago, I went to the store looking for a specific kind of fern which they did not have in stock. The lady at the cash register took my contact info. and said that they will call me once they receive a shipment of the plant. I did not expect them to call me back within the week or bother calling me at all. I was pleasantly surprised that they called today to tell me that they have the plant I was looking for and glad I went today as there was not a lot of the them but I manage to get 5 pots and realized when I got home that I needed more! Oh well...

I've lived in the area for 16 years and have spent a generous amount money at this location I visited twice in the last couple weeks waited patiently in line due to COVID-19, wore a mask as instructed had my own sanitizer. Customer service is going way down hill each year. Asked a supervisor for info and she directed me to a French lady who was no help and then called my question out loud to an older man / employee who scowled and yelled out a response. You're all so rude. Stay home during COVID-19 and let people have your jobs that want to be employed. I spent a ton of money at the Supercentre Garden Centre on Progress as they sell proven winners which look lovely in my gardens. No need for me to return. They also had a restroom available. Your staff are ruining your business. COVID is not the problem.

Went in at the end of season(september) had large variety of fall flowers. Find them expensive, but they are a specialist store. Very helpful, offered to put item into my car, before i asked for help. I like that kind of servive.
