A Night In The six

I came here to pick up someone and they had the enter gate closed. When we went to enter through the other side some worker that was just aitting around tried to tell us we couldnt come through that way. It really disnt make any sense considering they blocked the entrance gate.

The selection is minimal. The place is tight and I didn't feel confident in the products. The staff are okay, though, they lack confidence in their knowledge of the product.

Overall I’ve always gotten great service from this place but today when I went there, there was one worker who was just acting crazy. He was just going around yelling and laughing hysterically. I was driving my car closer to the pick up and he walked right in front of my car while I was driving. He was just acting completely psycho it was the strangest thing. The workers swear at each other and act like the customers aren’t there. The place is just a bunch of kids acting crazy with no proper supervision. It was just a weird experience.

Friendly staff, was in the day before to get topsoil they said they were out. I called the following day only to be told they'd had it all along, there was miscommunication.

Great selection and affordable. Staff is very friendly, helpful and accommodating. Delivery was also very quick and the delivery guys were so helpful in helping to unload the heavy garden stones and also placing them in a way that was efficient for us to move later. Really appreciate the friendly service and highly recommend this store.

I bought 2 bags of top dressing and , told by owner its finely shredded. But only to discover gooey and lumpy and dried out after 1 hr and turn in to rock.

Well the staff was pretty friendly, just not too many were knowledgeable on certain topics like gardening and landscaping, but the cashier and the manager are very helpful. The prices can be a bit pricey when it comes to the stone selections but the flowers and vegetables are rather cheap considering the prices of competitors.

They have a better knowledge here of what plants work best for your specific needs than some of the bigger stores. Found them helpfull as I'm not much of a gardener. Great cherry tomatoe plants.

I've been coming to this garden center for the past 14 years. They have never let me down. I can special order plants and stones, they offer great advice! All of their plants are grown and acclimatized in Canada, so you're always getting the best!! You can't beat their prices, or their friendly service. I'll always be a customer! I commend them for their patience, as no one around here speaks English. They're great people!!

This garden center unfortunately doesn't care about the customers. Today I waited on the line for 20minutes. A rude staff member came out told leave now we are closed. No reason given and no apology for chasing us away. I don't know they want us back on a regular basis or not. The guy chase about 10 customers away. I hope the owner of this store see this message.

Excellent service ! Our garden needed an overhaul as it had become over run with weeds of all kinds. The grass was also dead and needed replacing. The crew arrived and cleaned out the flower bed and laid down fresh mulch. All of the dead grass was removed, fresh soil added and new grass laid down. It now looks fabulous again thanks to Tom and his crew !

Years ago loved shopping their knew the owner, recently went to buy a bag of wood to burn at the cottage,went inside to pay, had several men deciding the price for the bag of wood,one said to me $5.99 the other two young males decided that the bag of wood should be sold for $12.00 now they knew where the bag of wood was kept, they knew they wanted to get rid of that open bag of wood which he carried to my car so promptly that here I was guessing that he had given me a full sealed bag of wood, I failed to check the back since it was opened and I got ripped off from a person I trusted over the years, really shocked the open bag was checked at home with only six pieces of wood, bought many products from this location and buyers beware when purchasing your supplies, you just can't trust people these days, over ten years to update my home I bought from them spending thousands of dollars no more will give my business to the garden supply on Port Union and 401.

Definitely lacking in customer service. The place was closing, so we understood we couldn't go in, but they wouldn't even answer just one simple question. There was some heavy set guy with long curly hair rudely telling us to just get out. Definitely would not recommend this place for service.

I've been a customer of Markham Sheppard Garden Centre for over 10 years. I'm always greeted by a friendly smile and the staff is very knowledgeable. Competitive pricing without the big box feel. They carry the best flower, vegetable plant selection including everything you need for landscaping in the area. I highly recommend their services.
