You will be able to see all the reviews of people who purchase the products and services of Tandoori Gardan (Gardener) in the area of Sault Sainte Marie (Canada).
Nowadays this firm has a score of 4.1 over 5 and the rating is based on 127 reviews.
As you can see its rating is very positive, and it is based on a large number of scores, so we may say that the score is quite faithful. If many people have bothered to rate when they've done well with the business, is that it works.
You know that we don't usually stop to give opinions when these are good and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or issue...
This Gardener corresponds to the category of Indian restaurant.
Very poor service, plates were not properly washed (remains of food of last customer could be seen stuck on the plate) No jug of water. Food and naan were all frozen and heated. Not fresh cooked. Served tofu instead of paneer. Overall a very bad experience
This is a great Pakistani Restaurant offering East Indian dishes in Sault Sault Marie. Though the prices are high for the size and scale of the establishment and location, the quality of the food is really good.
All the reviews this restaurant have are fake. i went to this restaurant on 25 Oct 2021 at 20:30 and ordered food. Chicken Mulgai and chilli chicken with 4 garlic naan. when I went to pick up food I asked them is everything ok or perfect in side the parcel was sealed and the lady said it’s sealed and all good and I came back to my hotel, they didn’t put a single napkin or any disposable spoon etc. I called them and found the behaviour was really rude. Anyway I disconnect my call and focused on my food as I was hungry. Then I found it’s the rubbished food I have ever tried in my life. I’m an Indian (Punjabi) and I know how this food taste like the Naan I order was not cooked fully and the Chicken Muglai I had wasn’t cooked properly but the chilli chicken was okay. Be careful from these frauds as they have above 4* rating. Tc.
Excellent customer service and Delicious food ????
I really wanted to like this place. Unfortunately it was terrible. Friendly PSA: the food as no flavour other than tomato and cream. It's not authentic. For some reason we ordered Biryani and got butter chicken. Also for some reason the butter chicken had eggs in it?? It would be nice to know that and as someone with an egg allergy I unfortunately bit it before I noticed. Since when does a curry have egg without mentioning it in the description?? Just.... No.
Probably better than you'd expect for an Indian restaurant in the Soo. Didn't blow me away but it wasn't bad either. Staff was friendly, fast service. They definitely don't skimp on the spice in the Madras. Would return.
One rating because Google doesn't allow zero. Food was cold and tasted awful. Service by staff was good as they kept asking how awful the food was. Please never go here. I would rather not eat anything and stay hungry.
My husband and I got sick after eating from here! We are new in town and we were excited to give this restaurant a try, We love Indian food but this restaurant taste nothing like the Indian dishes we used to eat and on top of that it gave us a food poisoning although we ate just a bit and throw the rest in the garbage! We do not recommend it at all.
Horrible experience. Placed an order for takeout at 6:30, arrived at 7:15 to pick up our food (told 45 minutes for prep) as we arrived I asked for our food and the girl working the counter looked confused, asked my wife to wait off to the side while they served other customers. 10 minutes passed and someone else came out to inform her that the order was forgotten about and that they were starting it now, she was obviously upset about this and the man working the front desk told her "calm down she is new, i bet you weren't perfect at your first job either" Upon asking for a refund, we noticed the debit terminal said 'accept charge' so we asked if it was a refund or a new charge, as it seemed odd. The same man said "I dont know, why dont you try sticking your card in and seeing what happens, is that not the way things work?" Upon checking our online banking, we noticed that the refund was infact a new payment. We were not trying to be difficult, just very frustrated with the overall experience and the lack of professionalism shown from the staff.
Food was delicious, staff very friendly. We had the zeera chicken and lamb chops. Waitress was kind enough to let us know that the lamb chops take a little more time to cook because they use a more traditional clay oven to cook them instead of a regular flat top. We still feel we were served in a reasonable time.
The food was good I say good because I am not a big fan of butter chicken but it was fresh and cooked properly. The service can be really improved I believe especially on customer service side. Threre was just one lady, middle aged blonde hair with glasses, perhaps it was work burden or so, she was literally running and bumping into chairs and tables. She brought me knife aND fork, the fork was with the paper and she kept knife on my cell phone. I asked her to kindly if she could give me another knife, she ran brought another knife and kept it again on my cell phone and just ran to another table for taking order. I thought never mind I would just use fork to eat food. The washroom was not in a very good condition and the commode seats top plastic should be changed, it's dirty and is scratched. Washroom also doesn't have any paper roller stand, just a paper roll over the commode. At the sink area, there is a paper roll stand but perhaps.it's out of order or doesn't really have paper in it. The place can be filtered a little more for food smell, do not mind the usual.smell of food.but the smell coming directly from kitchen can perhaps be subsidized. I really believe that customer experience can be improved significantly.
Good food
Took a takeout order of seekh kabab and chicken dopyaza - it was seriously delicious. I don’t get the bad reviews to be honest. The place is very well maintained, the staff are courteous, and the food is amazing - it’s halal and 100% fresh. Even the small washrooms are so clean. Overall, very impressed and I will be a regular customer!
Poor quality shahi paneer. It taste like they put paneer in tomato soup. The naan were too oily ????????
If you really wanna try some authentic Indian dishes then its your place to discover some great indian flavour with decent place where you can enjoy with your buds and your family
Horrible experience. We were visiting here from Brampton and looking for an indian restaurant and this restaurant was the only one closest to us. Dry naans and rotis and the food was not worth for the price. We were chatged $2.50 for a side of oinions and $10.60 for 6 samosas! Total ripp off. Do not recommend this place at all.
Have only had the chance to get here once but man it was great, super fresh and flavorful - it was so hard to choose what to get, the whole menu sounds amazing
Awesome staff and great food, very reasonably priced. Definately recommended.
Love the food here. Flavours not available anywhere else in our city. Mid range prices. Not cheap eats. Naan bread is wonderful.
Dine in
Always friendly, clean and the food is amazing.
My experience here was miserable. The vegetarian food was alright but the non veg was bad. My boyfriend even got food poisoning with that food. The food was not fresh AT ALL !!!!!
Dine in
Absolutely delicious food and very good service! There were plenty of vegan, vegetarian, and gluten free options. We'll be back again sometime!
Amazing food, had the butter chicken and malai kofta. Naan was awesome.
Was the worst punjabi food I have ever tested in my life.Gravy test like ketchup and really really expensive.
We love the food here! Don't let the decor fool you. The food is reasonably priced and is extremely tasty!
Arrived and was given two tables that weren’t even the same size. We ordered paneer Shahi and vindaloo. Samosa platter to share came and with a single plate. Half an hour later the paneers weren’t there and we gave them 5 minutes to serve or else there would be consenquences. Then the shahi paneer came . We asked about the vindaloo and they said we didn’t even order it. The glass for water had dirt in it. Overall a terrible experience. Shahi paneer was too sweet and the naan was burnt. Terrible.
Service
Very affordable and large portion sizes for the cost. I tried the samosas, chana masala and dal makhani. The samosas were delicious and well spiced, and the dal makhani was rich, tasty and had a perfect level of spice. The chana masala was a little underwhelming in my opinion as it was a bit bland for my taste but if you are someone who can't handle spice then it may be a good option for you. There were many vegeterian options on the menu which is nice for if you are dining with vegetarian friends.
Amazing Authentic dishes: we were passing through the city on our way home. we stopped by and had the best dining experience in a while. would highly and definitely recommend
This was actually our second selection of restaurants, but I’m so happy the first option didn’t work out. The butter chicken and chicken korma was some of the best I’ve ever had. The service was quick and friendly. This is now my go to place when travelling through the area.
I ordered Chana samosa, aloo ghobi, and vegetable pakora. First, the samosa was more triangle shaped than the traditional pyramid shape and the stuffing taste as if it was one of those store bought unflavorful frozen ones. Normally, they are served piping hot as it would have been straight from the deep fryer. Mine was lukewarm and halfway through it was still frozen cold inside. Aloo ghobi is normally dry using only the spices and oil, mine was quite watery and the naan that came with it was just as unimpressive. I find that the food quality is quite low.
I ordered chicken curry and two naan, naan were great but curry was soggy, no salt and worsen test I have ever tried.
Went for dinner in a larger group. Waitress was very happy to explain the menu and offer recommendations for first timers to Indian food. Food was plentiful and delicious, and reasonably priced. If you are in a group, plan on sharing as the portions are quite large. Great eat! Dont be afraid to give it a try!
Ordered food almost 2 hrs ago still have to wait 30 mins , suggestion for other if you taking out please check your food first before you leave , as I order chapatis with daal makhani , chapatis were raw ???? not properly cooked and quantity of daal is not enough . It was my first and last time I would never refer anyone.
Worst food ever had.... The customer service was also very poor and the quality of food was also miserable. Price was too high. I won’t recommend this, it’s totally a waste of money.
Great food! A bit expensive tho. But the tea wasn't that good.
Very poor quality. Not a good environment around us. The food was very expensive but bad portions. Example: very small veggie plate for 14.99$ +tax We bought a biriani beef plate, there was almost no meat only 97% rice. We asked for extra meat, and they charged us a lot more and the meat portion was still the same. The only good parts of the restaurant was the naan bread (burnt) and the rice. In conclusion : Extemley expensive but very bad portions. I will never come back again. Wasted 120$ for bad experience and food.
Menu and prices are fair, quality of Biryani was fresh and spicy. It was a good meal. From a visual stand point, the restaurant needs a serious uplift. I found dining room to be messy; cultlery and dishware were worn out. Service was OK. Easily a 4 to 5 star rating if the overall ambiance and cleanliness was upgraded.
The best nun, chicken jhal fry and tandoori butter chicken not only in sau saint mary but in the whole of canada. if you came here and didnt try it, you are missing out. its worth every penny. the food just melts in your mouth and the taste is impossible to forget. what an experience. i am more then satisfied with their service and food quality. keep up the good work.
We've eaten at multiple curry resturants around the world, and this was by far the worst. We ordered six difftent dishes. The meat was overcooked and dry and the sauces were made from canned soups, and extremely salty. Also, the resturant was very dirty and shabby. However, the service was friendly.
The buffet was excellent and was able to order a dish off the menu to take home. The staff was easy and enjoyable. Good time. Like the make over.
Butter chicken-10/10 Chicken tikka masala -4/10 -this was a joke.. Basically butter chicken with green peppers and added heat Shrimp karahi-9/10- good prep and fresh Biryani- 1/10 -total disaster, didn't even look or taste like it. returned it only to have the chef come up to us to defend his dish and walked away upset! Service was great and nice ambiance
Had dinner here for 2. We had the chicken tikka, veggie biryani and chilli paneer. Service was good and food came out quickly. Chilli paneer was AMAZING with plain biryani rice. Can’t recommend it enough. Very surprised to find great Indian food in this small town. Fantastic!
The menu is great with a large selection of Indian dishes. It is a peacefull restaurant. The food itself however was too spicy for my taste and too much different flavours and the chickens tastes half cooked. The price is also on the average expensive side.
Horrible food. Butter chicken was just sweet tasting no other flavors. Daal makhani I have at home is 100 times better than what they made. Chai had no sugar. Rottis were half cooked. I would never recommend this place to anyone.
Called today at 6 to place order for pick up. Lady was rude and said she didn't have time cause she had customers. Pathetic and unbelievable
Definitely good food. Service was great as well. Prices were reasonable and portion size huge. It was great experience. Will recommend for sure.
I was travelling through Sault Ste Marie and came to this restaurant, it took time for my order but the food was delicious, and appetite filling. If I visit the city again will go there for sure.
Had the beef karahi with naan. Full of flavour.
Honestly, i have been to a lot of Tandoori restaurants around Canada, this has to be one of the best i will ever go to, If i ever go back to Sault Ste. Marie i am 100% going back for that Chicken madras.
I was traveling and had a stop in Sault Ste Marie. I ordered the Palak Paneer and lentil soup. Super delicious! The staff was very friendly and accommodating as well. I’ll definitely visit again next time I am passing through.
Great food ..portions are a small...order extra for 2 people...otherwise great food
Stopped here with family for desi food on my way from Toronto to Calgary. Owner is the chef himself, delicious food and even better customer service. My kids loved the fish n chips. We ordered bhindi masala & vegetable biryani. And the roti’s were like home cooked. Yummmm
We had ordered chicken do pyaza with rice and paneer masala, with naan. Along with a aaloo-paratha. The quantity was good for 3 of us and food was delicious. The chicken item was stunning and loved by my wife. Great find in a small town, loved it.
We enjoyed our meal of mali kofta, mattar paneer, and chicken korma (with hard boiled eggs!) and garlic naan. Plenty of food for our family of four, under $60 (with mango lassis) before tip. The decor could use a little touching up, but the vibe was friendly. Recommended!
Great place for Indian food in the Soo. Got the Paneer Vindaloo and although it was labelled as 4 chillies (very spicy), it was the perfect amount of spice and very flavourful. The naan/garlic naan is soft yet crispy, and the kheer was a soothing palette cleanser to balance the spicy curry. Highly recommended for an eastern flavour craving in town!
Very good food. Waitress was snowed under with customers but keep her cool and did a great job. Boss needs to look at bringing more people in at peak times. Or have someone "on call" for times like this. Would recommend this place.
Always great quality Indian cuisine. Nice eat in spot, great take-out portions. Great selection of dishes offered. Everything from the Butter chicken and Korma to Vindaloo and Aloo Gobi. A favourite local restaurant. Great prices that can stretch dinner into lunch left overs.
My favourite Indian food in SSM! Palak Paneer is my absolute favourite and always consistent with taste and portions. They also make it specially spicy for me when I ask! ♥️ I found them accommodating to dietary preferences as I sometimes like to lay off the dairy and always friendly on the phone and in person. Their specialty Naan is to die for!!! Paneer is my favourite but I like them all. Other dishes I have tried are the Vindaloos, Korma, and appetizers have all been consistently delicious and never have an issue. I have never dined in the restaurant but it always looks well kept and have seen some tables of food that are beautiful and people seemed to be enjoying themselves. Now I’m hungry! ... ♥️
Well they only get 1 star from me because I ordered chicken biryani and it was the worst I have ever eaten Lamb curry was ok but not great at all Ordered butter chicken for little one that was ok only thing I like was Nann plus it was over priced
Worst place, I've ordered a beef biriyani & that was the worst one I've ever had even though I'm not from this town Staffs are very rude and racist we went there by 9 before closing and staffs were so rude, I've never seen such a harsh behavior ever, we paid all bills separately and she is still confused as we steal money from her Soo bad Better to change the staffs
Lovely food and big portions. Desperate for a curry the one in Bruce Mines was closed yesterday so delighted to find one Sault St Marie. It is the only one in the town. Walking in it looked rough more like a canteen than a restaurant.. paper napkins and lack of decor. But the menu was extensive and good balance of meat and vegetarian and types of curry. We had a Daal which was delightful and the naam bread was some of the best i have eaten. A good find.
Just had karahi chicken with tandori roti,s with raita. The best of it was the fresh tandoori roti,s amazing guy on tandoor.must come here to have indian and punjabi for food.
I never thought that I will be getting so good food from this place, prices are a bit on the higher sided but, the food deserves kudos... being an Indian, I had tasted a food filled with authenticity and taste... Thanks for those young folks who are working relentlessly in the kitchen... Loved the Mughlai and Tikka masala... nans were also very well crafted...
Been there a few times now and every time the food tastes better than before. They're the OG Indian food restaurant in the soo and from my experience as a vegetarian, the food the closest to authentic than anywhere around. The menu comprises of choices suited to both flavourful and spicy hot lovers. The ambience is cozy and soothing.
I've to this restaurant a few times now and everytime was a great experience. I enjoy taking my partner on a date there for some tasty and delicious indian food. They also have friendly service. I'll definitely keep going back.
I would describe this restaurant in few words, extremely good food, on the other hand, very bad administration in handling customer, I would highly advise the owner to work on the restaurant administration to get advantage of the good food and quality he provides. I do recommend this restaurant, but be patient when picking up the order!
Excellent food! Had paneer tikka masala
I love the food here. Was really happy with the meals after living in Toronto and moving back to town a few years ago! My favourite dish is the Lamb Vindaloo!
The Best Indian restaurant in Sault Ste Marie, at the time of my visit. When they say spicy, it means Indian spicy not Canadian. The food is good, service and ambiance is pleasant. The location is okay, cos of the side parking. Make sure you go after 6pm or you have to pay for the road side parking.
Had the worst daal makhani today. It was absolutely 3rd class. I waited 35 minutes for my order. Rice and roti was good, but daal makhani was a joke. Please learn and do better when making the best Indian daal for your customers. Also, as a courtesy, add some napkins, plate, fork and spoon the the bag when you know the order is to go, not dine in. I really wanted to give two stars for this review but gave three stars because the customer service was good.
Good service. Good food. Good prices.
Got a take out . Decent taste but very basic as far as rice dish is concerned. It was veggie biryani but bearly any veggies except huge pieces of Potatoes !! Few peas n carrots all probably frozen . No special spices . But usual western Caucasian customers will love it but Indian public will always except high quality .
Had some chicken and beef biriyani! Food was not at all tasty! Even they charged $3.5 for pickle! Will never go again! But this is the only Indian restaurant in the city, so we don't have any other option! Food was not horrible though, not the best! If you are haven't tasted great biriyani 's before, it's worth for you!
Delicious Paneer tikka, must try.
Always pleasant customer service, with delectable meals! I get a vegetarian lunch special at least once a week, and have not once been disappointed.
I'm not from Sault Ste. Marie but I'm visiting for work and was craving Indian food for dinner so I gave this place a try. I ordered the meat platter from the appetizer menu which was really a small plate, definitely not a platter. It was alright. It had two kinds of meat, one kind of pakora and one samosa. My disappointment was with the main dish. I ordered the butter chicken which is a classic Indian dish that's on every single Indian restaurant menu. I was very underwhelmed for several reasons. First of all, quantity. The amount of chicken was very little. They gave me a huge plate of white basmati rice and small portion of butter chicken. Definitely not proportionate. Secondly, it did not taste like butter chicken. It tasted like a regular chicken dish with sauce but definitely not butter chicken. Butter chicken is supposed to be creamy and the sauce is supposed to be thick. This dish was neither. It also didn't have the garam masala flavour that's usually in every butter chicken recipe. Another thing that upset me was WATER. I only asked for a cup of water and it came at room temperature. Not even a little bit cold. And it was served to me in a small plastic cup. Shouldn't it be glass for any dine in restaurant?
Cute little restaurant in the heart of downtown Sault Ste. Marie. We tried 4 different dishes and they were ALL amazing! Hands down .. best butter chicken I’ve ever tasted. The staff was super friendly. We were the only ones in the restaurant so our food came out really quickly. I would definitely go again!
I order something different each time that I go and every meal that I've had has been delicious! The servers are also very friendly and helpful.
One of the worst experience I had at tandoori garden that the food is not tasted as Indian food at all. most the food i had looks frozen entries. service was terrible. looks like out dated restaurant , Although it is away overpriced. For me and my girlfriend to have a full meal each without getting anything extra or unnecessary besides two coke and after-meal one coffee, it cost us $90.
We are visiting in the Soo and decided to get a takeout for dinner. My wife and I both love Indian food and we decided to try tandoori gardens...great service and the food was fantastic...we would definitely recommend and return to this restaurant...
Only halal place in Sault Ste Marie. Food is also quite good. Chicken Dopeyaja is quite good but for sure its not Dopeyaja, rather a variety of Butter Chicken. The Naan is also good, goes very well with the gravy of the chicken item. Lamb chops are also quite good. Internal decor is almost none but little improvement will likely make it mainstream. Quite popular in the city, albeit should be as the only Indian food place where you get good food as well. Enjoyed our stay there, as well as the food. Would visit again.
Excellent indian food in sault ste marie? Didn't think that it was possible! I really love the vindaloo here, it is perfect.
The food was so delish!! First time trying it... Now on the take-out roster
Service
Great service, friendly staff. The food is always good, it's authentic and there are lots of options for many dietary needs
Dinner
The service was good but the tasted horrible and the butter chicken smelled. The seek kababs were like rubber and you couldn’t bite it. I would not recommend at all.
Downtown Sault Ste Marie is quaint and not where you would expect to have such good fare. We arrived about five pm and it filled quickly. The past 4 years of TripAdvisor recommendation stickers on the windows will need to make space for a 5th year. The Naan was as good as it gets and the Curry Chicken was superb. The plates were full and necessitated a take-home. Go once, enjoy twice. Truly a go-to place.
Had the lamb biryani. It was good but the ratio of rice to meat was off, way too much rice. Ask for some raatha to eat with rice. Folks are nice.
By far some if the best Indian food I've tried. Simple , flavourful and thoughtfully prepared. Always leftovers to enjoy the next day!. Lovely friendly staff!
It was our first time going to this restaurant and I can say we will be going back. The food was delicious!! The staff was very attentive and helped us in deciding what to eat! Highly recommend this restaurant!!
Meal type
Worst experience......One time me and my friends ordered Kadahi paneer and they serve us chicken instead of cheese .....I am vegetarian and suddenly my friend told that this is chicken so i was shocked about the service they provided.....Second time we ordered Chai (Tea) and they gave tea that's totally cold....Very bad experience with this restaurant
Dinner
The food was absolutely delicious, thank you Tandoori.
Super tasty food! Their butter chicken is the best butter chicken I've had so far! Prices on the costly side but are matched with super big portion sizes. One meal could feed two! Their service is really friendly and I've always had a great experience eating there. Their catering services are also absolutely fantastic and one of the best in town! I used to work and volunteer at the university when I was a student and we used their catering services all the time! They were always so reliable and provided great food!
First time here!!! Loved the food so much! The receptionist lady is so friendly!! Highly recommended
very bad compare to real indian food. no clean. my mom slipped on water on ground. were not allow to call 911. very rude manager. would give 0 if i could.
Authentic awesome dishes. Great customer service.
Meal type
Very good food. Plenty to eat and enjoy the variety of spice and flavours.
I'm in love with the food! The wait staff is very helpfully in describing and recommending dishes. Restaurant and decor is nothing special. It is small but I have been back a few times
Delicious food and nice service. What I like most , of their marination which gives a beautiful taste and a flavour.
Love the food and the chats we have with the gals.. keeps us coming back all the time. We tried the Chicken Goa and Madras today and were not disappointed!!!
Excellent food, though I cannot speak to the "authenticity" of said food, not having grown up with it. I will say the Chicken Tikka Masala is my favorite (probably unsurprisingly), but I'd never had it with the amount of peppers and onions in the sauce before. At first, I was a bit put off, but it has actually become my favorite variation. The naan and rice are fantastic as well. We often order one to eat at the restaurant (and really only eat half) then order another to take home, so we can have several dinners! Something my family always looks forward to - and the staff is very friendly, too!
Had an absolutely amazing meal here. Would highly recommend it to anyone who likes Indian food. The portions were large and quality was as you would expect. No complaints, the building is starting to show it's age though. Would gladly go back.
Dined in and ordered chicken biryani and palak paneer. The palak paneer serving was surprisingly larger, but the roti was lacking. The spices in the biryani was good, enjoyed the taste. Ample parking at the back of the restaurant as well which I appreciate.
Poor customer service, said food would take 30 mins to get ready but we were waiting for more than 1 hr, food is average & needs improvement, cashier girl was nice & polite which is the only thing i liked about this restaurant.
The best food I've had this restaurant is the place to go in the soo sooooooooo good can't say enough good
meh, made for people that cant handle their spice or picking out seeds. not the same as places in Mississauga or Toronto but its still good.
Had the Butter Chicken, Veggie Samosas and garlic naan. Was maybe the best I've had! Service was excellent as well!
The only halal restaurant in Sault Ste Marie. Good quality food with less spices so everyone can eat. Price is a bit high but it's ok.
Great food and the waitress was very nice but unfurtunally, we saw a member staff cleaning up the table with a broom just few seconds after dusting the floor with it. Disgusting !!!!!!!!!!!!
This is THE BEST place to get Indian take out in the Sault! I love it! As anyone who knows me knows! Growing up in England I desperately missed Indian food when we first moved to the Soo, but I knew once I tasted the food from Tandoori Garden's that I was set. It can be a little hit and miss sometimes, but hey that's life and when the food is on point (as it is, most of the time), it is perfection!
Looks like they're taking advantage of being the only East Indian takeout place open for dinner take-out. Prices have been raised - Butter Chicken and Rice takeout for one person cost me $20. Go to any other city and you can pick up the same order for about $13.
All dishes taste the same. I guess the made one gravy and uses it for all the dishes. The food was tasless. I order chicken Jalfrazi and beef karaye No difference in the taste except for the chicken and beef taste. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
I was badly craving a biryaani. I had read a previous review on this place that they serve white rice with curry on top mix it together and call it a biryaani. I checked with waiter if this is what to expect when ordering a biryaani. At first he denied and then admitted to it. He suggested I order karahi lamb instead. The karahi lamb was full of onions tomatoes and peppers with very few pieces of lamb in it at all. I appreciated the honesty but they seriously need to take biryaani put of the menu and call it curry with rice. Their meat dishes shound include well........meat!
They're fooling customers with the name "Chicken biryani", It's just rice mixed with chicken curry. Very naive of management to do such stuff and fool customers.
The food was very good, I got the Chicken Tikka Massala which I thought was great. The flavor and consistency of the dish was excellent the whole way through. My coworker got the chicken curry and enjoyed it however he mentioned it could have had more spice. The only thing I was not a fan of was that we both got our dishes with rice as the side, and since we got the order for takeout all of the rice was lumped together in the same container. However this was something that I will keep in mind in the future. The location was easy to find, and the staff was very helpful and friendly with the questions I had about the menu, and the restaurant was very clean and did not have any weird smells. Overall I would definitely come back here and try some other dishes and would recommend to anyone thinking of giving them a shot.
Wonderful Indian food at affordable prices with excellent service. I especially enjoyed the mango lassi to finish.
I am from Mississauga, with lot of desi food options as we have so many restaurants who serve this kind of food. I have never tasted this delicious food in my life. Fish, chicken tandoori, daal everything was delicious and good priced. Service was good too. I would definitely recommend it.
we have ordered Malai kufta which had no paneer in it, sekh kebab small portions versus the price, and lamb karahi which doesn't taste authentic. Gul was very friendly and helpful. Good serving quality.
We ordered Shahi paneer, cholee, chilli paner along with plain n paner naan. All dishes were very good authentic in taste. Loved the paner naan so soft n delicious.
This place doesn't look like much but the food is great. It is small but friendly. When the serving staff says the vindaloo is hot, they are not kidding. But it's good. They have vegetarian options and you can get mild as well.
Tasty food, good customer service and nice menue.
Excellent quality, delicious East Indian authentic dishes, friendly staff...always a good choice! Try it...trust me, you'll be back again soon!
Absolutely delicious! The lunch special was butter chicken, gobi korma, naan or rice, papadums, rice pudding. Yum. 10.99. If you like Indian food you'll like this place.
Stick with a main course. Ordered samosas and should have stop at the frozen food section. No liquor license. Best naan bread I've had in a long time
Good authentic food. Liked pakora, paneer tikka. Chicken tikka was raw and disappointed with chicken biryani. It's not chicken biryani, looks like tomato pulov with chicken.
Not the greatest. But it was ok. Servers were trying so hard to keep up with big tables. Owner should get them good uniforms atleast.
In the comparative race of Price and taste, taste wins by far. Better food than the most restaurant options in Sault.
Amazing food and service. We always order the beef korma and chicken Tikka Masala. Amazing.
We simply loved it there. The staff is always friendly and the food is amazing.
The butter chicken is very good and a friend told me about going in here and it being a staff party. They were closed but left the door open. They invited my friend in and packed up food for him and his family for free instead of sending him away. This makes me want to eat here more and more. Please give a place with good morals and great customer service your business.....i know i will. It is so hard to find these days.
Best Indian food in Northern Ontario! Authentic as well. Staff was very nice, let us order 15 mins before closing
Ordered takeout to our hotel - the best Indian food i have had and i have tried many places. Wish i lived here!
We arrived 20 minutes before closing time. The order was taken and food served promptly. The food was tasty without being spicy and had an authentic feel to it. On another day we went to Taj cuisine and if you are ever debating between two, choose Tandoori Garden. It is easy on pocket and food is much better. The only thing I would suggest owner is to somehow improve the ambience. The place looks just a bit jaded. For food itself, i would have given 5 star ; 4 star because of ambience.
