I've called some places here in Saskatoon last December in need for a Therapy Sand. And they are the only place that you can pick up the product, same day you phoned them in Winter! Allan's is highly recommended!

Unscrupulous. This company arbitrarily quotes astronomical prices in hopes that their victim doesn’t do their research. I needed re-grading around the house and paving tile work. James quoted me upwards of 30k for the work. The work was properly done by a contractor for 7k. To top this off, I was charged $70 for this obscene $30,000 quote, in which I refused to pay. Allan’s landscaping took the overdue $70 to collections (which is their prerogative) and then threatened me with $1500 of unfounded legal fees which was nothing more then an empty threat. This company has terrible business practises. It wouldn’t shock me if they prey on older people, but they will definitely try to soak you.

Bad business, very sneaky , if you want to use this business for removal Read your Contract over and over. Lots in there they don’t tell you up front. Will never do business with them again ever , lots of hidden fees

Update your hours. When it pops up under your name that you are open 8am on Sundays I expect it to be open when I show up. Most people will simply look up what it says when they Google then name rather than searching through the website.

I picked up 1 yard of top soil on May 15th and returned it immediately as it full of gravel. When I called I was informed that it was due to the dry weather. We went directly to the Landscape Store and purchased beautiful black top soil.

Called to see if they would take approximately 2 pails of concrete from broken sidewalk Lady on phone puts me on hold ,little while later a man answers and after saying what i have he says bring it out ,no charge. I drive there 20 minutes to get there only to be told by lady that put me on hold and never returned ,that no you be charged no free drop off. I ask to speak to guy that told me other wise but she says he know nothing ,i in charge. So long story short will never have to worry about seeing me or anyone else that asks for recommendation for a disposal.Should get rid of front end personal.

Poor service , recieved the wrong rock , ordered crushed rock and received a mixture of crushed and river rock . Left 12 yards of rock instead of 6, sent a crew promptly to pick up and clean up the extra 6 . When I called to complain about the mixed rock that was already moved into the yard their response was poor “ we are already out 6 yards of rock”( because of their mistake) gave me $100 refund ...... called back to talk to an owner or manager a few days later and offered me nothing even thou I’m completely not happy with the rock and service they provided . Sorry in this case is not good enough .

I paid $278.00 for garden soil 70/30 mix got something that looked like base gravel with big stones and lots of them. Go to a quarry and get gravel you will be better off. 3.9 rating is 12.3 too high.

Absolutely terrible.. they sneak around and constantly change what they say.. one person says one thing then the other person says something completely different. I will never be using this company for anything ever again and wouldn't recommend to anyone.

Picked up some topsoil to fill in some low spots in my lawn. Paid for a yard but could only haul 1/2 at a time. When I got home and started to off load the soil I found numerous twigs, chunks of clay, pieces of wire and some rusty nails. There was barely any actual dirt in it. Since it was the lower layer I didn’t care to much. I called Allen’s and told them about the soil I received, they openly admitted there was a screw up on the weekend and someone mixed something they should have not. They said they were going to screen it and should be ready later as I was in the middle of a project I could not wait. I was not offered any compensation just a sorry to bad for you. I told them I would not be back to collect my other half yard and I ended up at the landscaping store which in my opinion much nicer and cleaner facility with great top soil at a cheaper price. Landscaping store will sell you half yards unlike Allen’s who will but not at half the price of a full yard, only 5 dollars cheaper then a full yard. All and all I was very disappointed and will not be returning to Allen’s for any future projects.
