I went here to get more plants for my place. The staff in the green house where super friendly and helpful. While walking to the till to pay we passed by the oils and vinegars. All I can say is oh my! I had one taste and had to buy some. They are some of the BEST I've tasted in a long while. I most definitely recommend this to everyone and anyone. You need to at least give it a try. You won't be disappointed.

I love this store! Whoever chooses the clothing to carry is in my head! Love the styles and the prices are very reasonable with awesome sale prices. Sometimes a little hard to find someone who isn't looking busy but always helpful when you do. The plant selection is fair but it really seems the store is catering more to clothing/gifts and fun special events. Love the plant classes, the fall celebrations, and especially the Christmas trees decorated for Christmas and all of the beautiful ornaments they carry!

The staff were super friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. I went expecting to spend an hour just figuring out what I wanted (as I had an idea in mind but not really anything concrete) the lady who helped me in perennials knew some interesting alternatives to the "Top 10" list and gave me plenty of options. I walked away from that section very happy. The other staff member I spoke to was also very knowledgeable, and took the time to help me understand the best way to raise a plant I already had. Overall I spent less than 30 minutes there, but definitely was a good use of time. Thank you to both those ladies!

I was looking for plants and decor for my yard but came away empty handed. Didnt even spend my $50 gift card. So will give it to my friend to add to hers so she can buy 2 gnomes!

I loved this place. I was soooo very pleasantly surprised to find clothing, jewelry and many beautiful displays with all the Christmas trimmings. It would be nice if it had a coffee shop or some added extra. What very few treats that were offered were overpriced. All items are pricey. The cost of one scrunchy is $10. It is an indication of other high end item pricing. Love the warm atmosphere.

Had 1.5 yards of triple mix delivered for my newly built flower beds. The worst triple mix I've used. Packs hard & things have a hard time growing. Please dont waste your money, buy your soil from somewhere else. Next year I'll have to mix peat & vermiculite in it & see if that helps. So disappointed in dutch growers from every aspect. Spoke with manager Justin I think was his name. He tried to make things right from the horrible service we received & the screw up on the trees I purchased. I have to give dutch growers a 1/10. I've tried over & over and I'm done.

Great customer service, with knowledgeable staff, friendly staff. I am usually able to find everything I need, unless they are sold out. Every season is always different, which is neat because every visit there's something brand new to see and look at. Not only do they have a great selection of plants during the spring (including trees, annuals, perennials, and tropicals), they also have tropicals all through the year! They also have a fashion department, gourmet and decor sections of the store. Definitely, it is worth a visit!!

Very inconsiderate. They are less than 50 meters away from a complex of apartment buildings and often have some sort of DJ concert in the greenhouse. The bass is loud enough to reverberate throughout the entire building, hallways and all. Try not to develop a migraine when you're listening to "thmp thmp thmp thmp" constantly for 3-4 hours. As for their actual merchandise, it's overpriced and the service is indifferent. When you go to Dutch Growers, you're paying for a fancy building you don't get to take home with you.

Taste testing all the oils as a dip with bread is such a nice stop as is, let alone the variety of plants to choose from for a garden. I make the effort to travel all the way from the South end of the city to go to Dutch Growers any time I need garden supplies. They have always treated me well and answered all my questions and I have had some difficult problems for them to answer. I have learned about transplanting from the wild, PH testing, leaf mold, and why you can't plant an apple tree twice in a row in the same spot. They always seem to have the latest varieties of plants whether it be pear trees or yellow tomatoes. I have had some serious problems getting an apple tree started in my back yard and they have stayed with me through the entire process, helping me along the way. It's the only place I have seen that, when it gets super busy, they have a staff member on hand to direct traffic through the line of cashiers so that you get through the quickest possible. I can't say enough good stuff about these guys.

Dutch growers has a wonderful selection of almost any plant you can think of, and often times many sales on. I always love walking up and down the aisles looking for my next house plant or plants for my garden boxes. The inside part of the store always has such cool items to peak anyone's interest and the associates are always happy to help out at every turn. I did however get a little unnerved at how rough the girls at the till were with my plants for my plant box. The flowers I selected were quite tall already and kind of wrapped around each other. The girls were quick to pull each individual plant apart, and in the act, ripped many of my flowered stems right off the plant. Had they taken the time to separate my plants, I would have twice as many blooms on my plants when I got home. There was zero lineups or rush to push us through as fast as they did. It's a tad disappointing.

This is hands down the best greenhouse in Saskatoon. I recently had an especially wonderful experience with Shivani, who helped me put together an adorable succulent arrangement for my mother-in-law. The staff is always friendly and considerate, but she went above and beyond even that! Their selection of plants and planters is unsurpassed and everything is excellent quality. They also have a beautiful boutique area indoors with adorable clothes, jewelry, and household goodies.

When I went to the brands website I noticed the same hat was on sale for a significantly cheaper price (basically half). When I reached out to customer service they weren’t willing to price match. First time walking through a Dutch Growers location. Lots of different things to look at and do. From flowers, plants, to clothing, oil, jewelery, fudge and some hardware supplies. What more could you ask for?? A bar?!

Sold me and another lady I know spider mite infested palms. Refused to refund them and told me I had to buy pesticide for them instead. So I did. They gave me wrong directions, and the lady I spoke with had no idea they had a spider mite outbreak despite the manager telling us the day before that there was in fact an outbreak. So likely they kept selling the plants and with held the information. I should also note that I placed my order online and picked up so that had all my contact information and still didn't call to let me know that they had an infestation in the specific plant I bought two of! I had to hear down the grape vine.

The staff here are always incredibly knowledgeable about whatever area they happen to be in. I've gotten many herbs from here to grow and they've always done really well. My Covid-19 experience at Dutch Growers was wonderful! I absolutely loved that they enforced a mask only policy and offered multiple hand sanitizing stations along the way as I walk throughout the store. Even though we are walking through the re-open SK phase, as someone who lives with auto-immune I am extremely THANKFUL that a mask policy was in fact in place. This gives me the confidence and reassurance that precautions are indeed being taken. I understand that a mask can be a hindrance and you may think it unnecessary but as someone who lives with auto immune I find it so reassuring that safety is being considered for everyone. If a policy wasn’t in place I would second guess whether I would be able to enter, and at Dutch Growers I know that I can enter safely. Thank you Dutch Growers!!

They really should post online about mandatory masks. Seems to me like they are happy to charge an "entry fee" in exchange for a mask or else they can deny you service. Any other store doing this wouldn't bother me except that I have been told by young workers that they were taken advantage of by the owners, often so that they can make a little more money. So just FYI the owners aren't a moral pillar of the local business community.... And bring your own mask!

Staff are friendly and willing to help, when they're around. When it's busy it's hard to find staff. Prices are a little higher than you'd pay in a box store for the same product but that's because they're small. You definitely wouldn't have the service in a box store like you do here.

I'm gonna give a 3 right in between 2 and 5 and my review is strictly on the plants. Gonna be the honest one here. Came in to buy some plants. The first tropical section was horrible. So many dying plants in there!! You should discount them by at least half so people can take them and try to save them. The price you pay for a $30 plus dollar hanging basket of dead silver pothos is wrong. I haven't seen such poor health in plants anywhere I have shopped. The succulents mostly appear healthy though that's a plus. I did buy one that had root rot as it was over watered in the wrong soil. I took it apart and going to nurse it. I ended up with 3 decent succulents and an alocasia poly that took me 20 minutes to find a decent one and left spending $50. Nice way to spend a relaxing day though. The place is big and lots of stuff to browse at.

My wife and I ordered several trees from Dutch Growers. One wasn't ready and despite calling several times we still weren't able to pick it up. Despite us getting frustrated - Dutch Growers Customer Service went above and beyond. They made sure we were completely happy with our purchase and really stepped up to the plate !!!!! Zero star! Today was my last visit at this store which used to be my favorite place here in city. The cashier was super rude and forced me to carry a plastic bag when I asked her not to double bag my plant as I’m trying to not use plastics! So disappointing Reply to the owner: Thanks for your prompt response and that is totally understandable that the plants need to be kept in warm weather. I should have mentioned that while I understand this, I did take the precautions to avoid the temperature shock when leaving the store (by warming up the car in advance and parking in the closest parking spot). So still forcing me to carry a double bag seems unnecessary ... I would rather like to be asked if I still needed a bag and not: "YOU HAVE TO".

Went to buy bedding plants at there greenhouse on Saturday... when I guy at entrance approached me asking if I had a face mask? I didn’t have one.. Fantastic. Great variety of plants and flowers. A bit pricey but theyre worth it, especially the tropicals and the succulents. It is a bit confusing, a bit disorganized. I did find that when i asked the people work there a question they didnt seem to know much. All i asked where a particular plant was located, they couldnt tell (and i know they had it because i had contacted them by phone to make sure). But its still a great place to go. So many plants!!

Today my wife and I went to return a sweater I had bought my wife for a Christmas Gift. I purchased the sweater with my daughter near the end of November. I brought it home, put it in a gift bag to be opened at Christmas. We opened gifts Christmas Eve. She only tried the sweater on Dec 26th. She didn’t like how it fit but she did cut the tag off but we didn’t think that mattered! Dec 27th we drove to Dutch Growers to return or exchange it with the original receipt and tags! To our surprise the young girl who was manager accused us of having washed it so was unreturnable! My wife Did Not wash it we emphasized to her! Why would anyone wash something that didn’t fit in the first place!! She blatantly told us she didn’t believe us as many people return things like that! After a bit she seemed to somewhat believe us, and only offered in store credit! That was fine, but she made us both feel like we were doing something bad! That really put a damper on us shopping that day! We gave Dutch Growers a lot of business over many years including big purchases. I’m not sure about returning there and certainly will never buy clothing from them ever again! Even if it was washed previously by another customer and returned to the store, why was it put back out for sale?

On the fence here. I have been told lots of good things about this place. Tried to go there today got inline made to the gate then told we need to wear a face mask to get in. We didn't bring any and where told we could buy them for $5.00 each. Only place we where at all day that was forcing customers to wear masks. So we left. So take it for what you want. Nice store. Unfortunately they don't offer much in the way of pots with drainage holes. Specifically shopping for bonsai pots in which case drainage is very important and they offered none. The "bonsai" trees they stock are insanely over priced for what you get. 50 dollars for a juniper seedling in a bonsai pot with improper soil for the tree and rocks on top to hide it is a brutal deal. These trees will most definitely die within six months with how they are potted. I would not recommend anyone go here for bonsai as a fear they would get terrible misinformation on proper techniques for development and care for these trees...

Was it me? I was in today with my mother-in-law. I decided to stroll through the clothing. What a great sale. I gathered up three pretty tops. I carried them around the store a few times searching for a dress or maybe a tunic. I saw a fair few staff wander by me, but no one greeted me or offered assistance. I am a bit hearing impaired, so it is possible someone said a quiet hello from further away. When I was ready for the fitting rooms, no one was there. Was I supposed to help myself? This is an honest question. Working in retail for 20 years, you learn all policies are different.

I’ve always loved and supported your store and the staff have consistently been amazing. The (who I presume to be) manager of the clothing section however, was above and beyond essentially any shopping experience I’ve ever had. When I came in, the item I was looking for was low on stock and I was given information about when I could come back for more selection, which was appreciated. What got me though was that they helped me find similar items, and when I was trying things on they brought a pair of shorts I never would have picked up and urged me to try them on. They are now my favourite thing I own. Their attention to my style and preferences as well as guessing my size exactly right was more than impressive. I’ve never felt so good in a pair of shorts before. I can live this summer free to be comfortable in my own skin :) Thank you, and I’m sorry I didn’t catch your name, but you are the reason I will be returning!
