Paid for a large cement pad to be poured in my back yard. The guy who came to talk over the technical details was very good and assured me it would be done right. He had all the right answers. Because this cement pad was for a large permanent shed, it was critical that the edges be thick enough to support the weight of the building, which I stressed in our pre pour talks. I took a close look at the cement form before they poured and everything looked good, the front part where the double doors of the shed would be even had a 2x6 for the concrete form. They poured the pad in late fall and I took a quick look over it and then paid them (that was a mistake). After the snow thawed I noticed that some sections of the "4 inch" thick concrete pad are 1.5" thick and the front is now magically 2" thick in places!! So I called them to try and work things out and sent an email with pictures describing the problem. Hoping to talk to the technical guy about how to fix this problem properly. After calling back a few times, they randomly show up one morning and in about 15 minutes throw a quick patch on the outside of one of the damaged parts and then they are gone before my wife can even get out to talk to them. It's been almost 2 months now we have called over 10 times and cannot even get them to call us back, meanwhile, we can see evidence that they are doing work in our neighbourhood. I am now leaving this review in exasperation at their terrible customer service and shoddy workmanship.

We spent over 1000$ on sod, first they messed up delivery amount had to call and get a okay to charge another 75 then they forgot to deliver the sod until after we called asking where it and they said “oh it’s ready for pick up” so it got delivered at 530 at night after we had to remind them we paid for delivery while we had people waiting to lay the sod for a few hours! Then while he’s delivering it and bringing it to the yard instead of asking us to move our metal hose he ran it over in 3 spots even tho if he could avoid it like the first time or ask us to move it. When we brought up he just broke our new hose they did absolutely nothing the owner didn’t care even tho we just spent a lot of money with them he said if we’re so mad they can take their sod back we can go else ware! They should be watching where they are driving their machines , remember to deliver sod that we paid to have delivered the day previous and have better customer service!!!! Absolute joke will not be going back!

We had an extensive amount of work done in our backyard new fence, armor stone, top soil, sod, the workmanship was great the staff was very professional. The job was done in timely fashion they stayed on our job until completely finished. I would recommend S & S Greenhouses to anyone looking for anything from landscaping to fencing great job guys!

Absolute worst possible customer service I’ve ever gotten. To the point they literally said “they could care less if I buy anything there.” Was supposed to get a full 1 hour consult including drawings, got 10 minutes and no drawings...for $75. Will NEVER go back.

3 years ago ordered ten yards of "premium" triple mix soil for vegetable gardens. Picked clay and glass out of it the entire summer. Following year ordered another 10 yards and explained the previous situation to them and last years came like it was a totally different product. Very impressed by it. This year ordered another 10 yards and guess what. Every time we are in the garden we fill a pocket of glass. Even nicked my hand on a piece this year. They obviously are reclaiming it from some really poor spots to get glass like that. Do the math, 30 yards of "premium" mix isn't cheap. The farm field soil would have been better.

SS Greenhouse is a great place with natural beauty of flowers and plants. They deliver exceptional customer service not in terms of quality but also in terms of cost. Workers are professional and helpful. It is a great place to work as well for the long term. The quality of the products is really worth money starting from varied varieties of quality seeds, mulch, patios and flowers and plants for summer gardening.
