I love this place! The staff are very friendly and helpful and I always find what I'm looking for (especially products that Can't be found at a big box store). Plus they are dog friendly. I would drive out of my way to go to Kala's for these reasons.

Went everywhere I could think of to but honing oil, for sharpening knives. No one had it! A fellow said if anyone will have it, it is Kala's ! He was right. I should have thought of it myself, I have bee there often. Great store!

Forget home depot!!!! I think it was George who helped me design and get materials to do a project on my patio. I have social anxiety which makes it hard to shop, but I felt right at home inside this store. Every staff member I encountered was more than happy to chat a bit and super friendly. My new favorite place for projects!!!! Thanks guys!!!

Pam was so super helpful! I called in looking for a specific garbage can and Pam really went above and beyond for me. She told me that she thought the item would be on the truck's shipment for that day, so she took my number and went off to verify. She texted me back from her personal cell phone to follow up with me right away. They indeed did have one and it was held for me, to guarantee I would be able to receive it. Then, I went into the store to pick it up and was treated with nothing but kindness and respect from every staff member I spoke with. This pandemic has been hard on everyone and the staff at this Home Hardware were very helpful and wonderful and I'm now a forever customer. 10/10 would recommend.

Huge store with great selection. Prices are very competitive yet they still maintain a large helpful staff. One of the few hardware stores that still carry all those little things you need and can't get anywhere else. We drive over 30 minutes to get here and it's worth it.

This is the place to go for almost anything work or home related that you could need. This is not your average Home Hardware. Their stock in massive. The staff are always eager to help and very knowledgeable of the products. And they can order in almost anything. I am very impressed!!

I had my wife pick up two and electrical breakers, the note specified the type and make. They sold her the wrong type at a price that was 5 times what the correct breakers eventually cost at a electrical supply store. Over priced and under whelmed.

Like most, if not all, Home Hardware stores it is not pretty like it's competitor's big box store. But this is by far the best Home Hardware in this region. Many people I know drive past closer stores to ensure they get the products they are looking for.

First times dealing with this store. Allan in building supplies was just the absolute best. Did not have the product I was looking for but suggested an alternative that works just as well. My curbside order was ready at the specific time I needed it. Will definitely be dealing with them instead of the local "box store"

Stopped by to try and place an order for a can of spray paint. Unfortunately I was in a jam my phone died and i had a job to finish so I pulled up to the curbside area and asked if I could place an order and told them i had no problem waiting if it was going to take a bit. I was told that both store managers said it isnt possible to deviate from the phone call method and was left without getting any service from the store. It's also worth noting I have shopped at this store for 20 plus years and it's always been a great store until the new owners took over. The store used to have almost anything you needed to now almost never finding what I need and having to go elsewhere. The service isnt very good at this store either and Unfortunately after over 20 years of shopping here today was my last visit. It was not a walk up order I was trying to place as I remained in my vehicle and pulled up curbside. I have been to 3 other home hardware stores that allow you to pull up and place an order if you have no other means of ordering products. Just bad service as far as I'm concerned to not help out a customer.

This store is undergoing a reno! I was in here Thursday with a friend who was looking for a bathroom vanity. They have an amazing selection! And well priced. The man in the department was really patient and helpful. We looked through the rest of the store, all the staff seemed really cheerful. This is my new go-to hardware store!

I order curbside pickup when I was in their parking lot. Spoke to a person in the store. Picked up bag. Drive home. Opened bag. Both items ordered were wrong. Had to drive back to pick up the correct products. My first and last curbside order from here.

This afternoon, Doug from plumbing helped me out. Friendly and knowledgeable. I was able to describe my situation of connecting up a bathroom vanity to him, and right away he was totally on board / knew what he was talking about. Very helpful throughout the phone call / order placing.. It was refreshing in these "Covid - Not being able to go into the hardware store and see it with your own eyes times." This was such a smooth process with his help.. Highly reccomend Garden City Home Hardware and don't forget to ask for Doug, if you find yourself ineed of some help when it comes to plumbing..

Terrible customer service!! ordered a lawnmower on a Tuesday, was told the following Saturday on the skid but, needed to be entered in system. went in on Monday, not off the skid, but confirmed there, (saw it myself). told they could not get it for me. Will never spend a penny at this establishment ever again

VERY Poor service from new owners and management. This place has gone down hill since new owners have taken over. Beware when they make a mistake, it just does not matter how it affects their customers. Jim the manager was rude on the phone even after the poor experience at the store and basically said too bad and shop elsewhere if you want. I have shopped at this location for over 20 years but since the new ownership its just not the same. In my opinion these new owners don't care about their customers. To all who read this remember it is your hard earned money to spend so make sure get treated fairly and with respect because that was not the case in my experience at Garden City Home Hardware.

I asked for products in the flyer, they told me the flyer was produced a year ago and that they don't have the products I ordered, they did have items more expensive they could sell me. with the response to me I don't think they need my business. Very disappointed really want to buy local, they make it very difficult.

1 star because I got what I ordered. 1 star for the cheerful, friendly girl who took my call initially. The customer service started off great, but once I got redirected it was totally different. The man hardly spoke two words to me, couldn't answer my questions and when I pulled up to the curbside I was told "If you could use a credit card next time, that would save us a transaction." I paid debit. No "hello", no "thanks", no "have a good day". I get that it's a busy time, but these are the absolute basics of customer service. And as someone who's worked in retail... is inputting a debit transaction really that difficult??

I was in your store yesterday and there were 2 customers not wearing masks wandering around. Yes I know there is a medical exemption, so it should be store policy that people who can't or won't wear a mask are served via curbside pickup. Many stores are doing this. You are not only putting the rest of your customers at risk but your staff as well. By you allowing people without masks to enter your store, you are showing a complete lack of respect for your employees. I am sure you will not be happy if your store needs to close for a couple weeks because all your staff will need to quarantine if they are exposed. You seriously need to reconsider how you are not dealing with this.

Not handling things as best they could. In a small community store going the extra mile is important kalas does not allow pull up shopping as u must order on a unfriendly website and when u just want more of things u have hartzel rd comes out looks at what u want and helps get it right.
