Had the godfather. Alfredo sauce was from a tin can and chicken was unseasoned (not even seasoned with pepper) which made for an extremely bland meal that cost 18 dollars before tax. Would not recommend.

Jungle Jim's is a quick and easy place to grab a meal. You know there are no gourmet items on the menu, but much of it is tasty. If you are craving a deep fried meal, this is the place to go. Wings, rings and things. Burgers, chicken sandwiches, and they have a decent fajitas too. I often stop here, it's easy and whether I'm in Gander, Corner Brook, Goose Bay or New Glasgow, NS - I know what's on the menu, and I can pre order in my mind before I arrive. I do enjoy the Jungle Jim's.

Have been here three times: twice for steak nights and once for breakfast. Service has always been with a smile and the steaks have been delicious. I have however had to turn away because of excessive wait times: not many other places to eat out for "date night" in Goose Bay if that's what you're looking for I suppose.

First time and last time at this location. We were seated quickly and the waitress came quickly. However, that was the last we saw of her. After waiting 30 minutes with no check in from her, we left. I know staffing is an issue in Newfoundland, but this wait was beyond anything acceptable. A “check in” from her would have gone a long way, at least we would have known we were on her radar. Good luck to any other potential customers!

I likes comings heres to show offs me gut. A nice bucket of salt beef and a glass of gravy to sip on down by the fire. My gut is truly substantial. I hold the Mr. Gut 2009 trophy so I am quite versed in gut upkeep. My gut is a force to be reckoned with. At jungle jims nobody judges you for being a hog body.

The food is pretty bad. Almost everything comes in frozen and pre-made. Almost nothing is made fresh, in house. That is directly from one of the staff members. The staff are pleasant and attentive. St. Anthony has very few places to eat that are worth your money. As bad as the food is, it's better than most.

Place can be very busy and staff become.flustered. Food is good. Lots of beer on draft. Good atmosphere in the restaurant and prices are normal. Expect to close to $100 if you are ordering drinks too.

This review is WAY overdue. In 2009 I was with a crew returning to the States from some godforsaken part of the world. We had to stop overnight at Goosebay and came in late. It was, I believe, a Monday night in October. We were cold, tired and very hungry. Most every eating establishment was closed. We came in and asked if they were open. Manager said bar only as they had just closed the grill. We prevailed on him and he took mercy on us with limited options. Best burger and fries I’ve ever had. Washed down with a couple cold Molsons it was a wonderful welcome back to civilization. Thanks for accommodating us!

Got there at 6:35, was seated quickly but then our server didn’t come back to our table until 7:05. By then we had decided to leave and go somewhere else and our server said he “didn’t blame us” because they are so under-staffed. My friend was sat at a different table and said they had already been there an hour waiting for their meals and they watched two tables get up and leave before us because of slow service.
