Barrett Klesko was fantastic to work with. I was introduced to Barrett, while my husband and I were building a new home and needed to landscape the yard. I was coming from a well established, older yard and I was sad to leave it and go to a brand new yard (yet to be designed). Barrett made moving to my new home wonderful by working with me to incorporate my perennials from my old home into my new beautiful design for the house. He proved to me that he was able to listen to my wants and also professionally guide me as to what would work and would not work in the new home's yard. Barrett was professional and very knowledgeable of the plants. He has also been very willing to come back to our garden years later to represent his work and ideas and look at the changing garden issues. I have always loved a yard/garden and over the years I have worked with many landscape designers and I can say I would now always turn to Barrett for landscaping advice and expertise. I love looking over and being in the new garden. Thank you Barrett!

An exceptionally talented landscape designer! I met Barrett at the Home and Garden Show and was immediately drawn to his designs. I kept his contact information for a few years until my husband and I finished building a new house on a five acre piece of land. From the moment he stepped onto our property and I explained my vision he spontaneously started drawing on a scrap piece of paper. From the initial rough sketches I was both excited and confident that I had found the right designer. He not only met my vision but exceeded it with numerous creative recommendations. Barrett is gifted with a natural ability to transform a plain piece of landscape into something truly exceptional. From the stone pillars of the front gate to the back yard with bubbling rock formations he delivered a stunning plan. He also incorporated an orchard area, a garbage and compost area along with five individual sitting areas to be situated on a nature walk around the perimeter of our property. With a low maintenance landscape in mind he effortlessly suggested plant varieties to suit the terrain. Barrett is a true professional. He was conscientious; detail oriented; and worked diligently to bring us the designs in a very short time. My husband and I are extremely appreciative for the detailed designs showing the layers of hardscape, tree planting and shrub planting. The video 3D walk through of the design really brings the whole vision to life. He supplies all of these items in both paper and digital formats. We highly recommend Barrett and Planterra Landscapes for delivering a high quality product.

What was done originally looked great but after one year I have serious doubts if any thought was given to the longevity of the yard. I should have known something was up when I had to keep pointing out short cuts they were taking. - Failed first attempt at getting my landscaping depots back because the plants I was given were too small and I had to wait for them to grow. I had to buy new plants for the front. - 20% of the plants that were planted are dead. - paving stone edging has separated from the stones and has to be repaired. - Landscaping fabric that was used was not the "high quality" one I was promised - Having erosion issues on my property because no forethought was put into how my land was sloped. I now have to hire another landscaping company to come in and do repairs and fix issues that should have been addressed originally. Interesting how I get no response form you for months and all of a sudden now you want to be contacted.
