Wonderful customer service. We have bought our fresh Christmas trees here every year since they opened in Regina. The trees are unbundled and hanging up so you can see what they look like and they will cut the end for you as well. Their Christmas display in store is second to none.

I was there shortly before Christmas, and this young guy (who I later found out is the owners son and manager) was degrading, belittling, and screaming at staff members. He then proceeded to throw a flower pot across the room in anger. I have never witnessed such inappropriate behaviour from someone who is apparently a manager. It was an absolute disgrace, and he should be ashamed fo his behaviour. I feel bad for the people who have to work with this monster of a child. And the owner for condoning this behaviour just because he is her son. Terrible. I can genuinely say that seeing that shocking display, I will never step foot in that toxic environment, and will spread my experience to everyone I come across.. Gives local businesses a bad name. I hope for the betterment of your company, you have a sit down with your child and explain to him how to conduct himself as a decent human being.

***** I have since given fewer stars after unsatisfactory responses and refusal of responsibility from the owner. Rona sells medium sized plants for 1/3 of your price. Gales sells small plants for 2/3 of your price. I understand why you wouldn't comment on that portion. It's not my info, its your info There were plenty of posters already available as this was in your generally house plants which you WERE in fact selling before "two days ago" If you dont want to address your lack of information regarding endangerment of household pets that is your choice as a business ***** I have loved going to Dutch growers for years. Considering how expensive their product is compared to everyone else in Regina, you'd think they'd be better at helping or with expertise. When asking an employee which plants are low light and safe for cats, they didn't know, which is okay! So he radioed a woman and asked which are safe for cats and she said ALL OF THEM!! WHAT?? At least 1/4 of the plants in that area are poisonous to cats and can cause seizures. They ended up showing me a few that they knew for a fact were safe for cats but NONE that were low light, which was primarily why I came and what I needed which I thought I made pretty obvious. As much selection as they have, the expertise is becoming worse and worse with employees. I was dissapointed such an overpriced place doesn't have a better staff.

Terrible customer service. As a small business owner myself it would NEVER take me 3 weeks to letter mail a gift card (still not received, we live an hour away from Dutch growers). It would not take me over a week to respond to emails regarding the missing GC (still not responded to). And I would certainly NOT ignore emails requesting an order (over a week ago, also not responded to). I understand things are slow moving and different during COVID but this is just ridiculous. It takes me an extra couple of days to run my small business now AND I work a full time job in healthcare. This poor service is just straight up unacceptable. I wish we had the same ownership in Regina as they have in Saskatoon- their selection in fashion and plants and customer service is head and shoulders above the Regina store. UPDATE: below is an image of an extremely scale infested cactus, still on the shelves, still with a $100 price tag on it. A plant this sick is hard to miss, why it’s still on the shelves is beyond me.

There are usually sales on near the end of the season (Aug long weekend and further). Sales can range from 30% to 50% off of trees and shrubs.

Well let's be honest; This is an impressive garden centre. It's massive. I've never seen such huge glass greenhouses in my entire life. It's full of adorable garden decorations and thousands of happy, healthy plants. It even has a clothing section. In a pre-covid world, I could easily spend hours here. Unfortunately, I got unlucky and ended up with a rhubarb root of the wrong cultivar, since it was in the wrong bin and I was so excited that I didn't double check the label. It was also shriveled beyond having any hope of growing, so now I'm just stuck with a dead plant of the wrong type. It was a disappointing experience, so remember to double check your plant labels if you're traveling from out of town.

I just want to give a huge shout out to Dutch Growers for their exceptional customer service. The customer service rep I spoke with on the phone was very professional and understanding. My lack of planning for Mother's Day became her 'emergency' and she delivered, literally. I called Saturday afternoon and asked if I could have a delivery sent out the same day. The lady I spoke to on the phone never made any unrealistic promises, she was completely honest and said they would do everything they could to deliver however it was likely the order would not be delivered until Monday due to the late request. I was thrilled when my mom called me Saturday evening to thank me for the flowers. Thank you Dutch Growers. Will def recommend this business.

Dutch Growers is the most hostile environment I have ever worked in. The management treat the staff like nothing and expect way too much from their employees. Karen the store owner is the worst of them all. She is rude to the employees, doesn’t care about them or their well being, and yells if something is not done her way. No employee deserves to be treated the way Karen treats her employees. Take this into consideration next time you shop here. I support local, but not Dutch Growers.

Dutch Growers is the kind of place you go when you want to feel happy. When I've had a rough day, I love to go walk around the greenhouse and it always cheers me right up. The staff are incredibly friendly and passionate. Everyone seems to have a smile on their face, and when they ask you if you need help with anything, it feels genuine and never forced. We got our Christmas tree here and it was such a beautiful experience, in part due to the staff's enthusiasm. Are the prices higher? Yes, but you're paying for quality. Sure, an orchid is going to be cheaper at Walmart, but there's no love there and it shows. These folks over at Dutch are specialists and they put love and attention into that place. I appreciate it!

Had such a disappointing experience at Dutch Growers yesterday. I usually am not one to leave reviews but I can not keep my mouth shut about what I saw. As I was walking around the greenhouse, I noticed the owner yelling at a staff member in front of customers. Completely degrading him, belittling him, and cussing him out simply because he put a few plants too close together. I could not believe what I was witnessing. This behaviour is so grossly unacceptable not only for a business owner/boss, but for a human being. The owner should be absolutely ashamed of herself. I will never support this business again.

After stating no substitutes I received 2 substitutes and was not told about them. I ordered online for curbside pickup and when I went to collect the whole process was rushed. I was told everything was there and correct (a grunted yes as the staff walked away) and it was only later when I got home (1 hour drive)found they had substitutes 2 of my items and half of my plants were damaged. I emailed with a complaint and received a response 36 hours later from the owner who clearly hadn't read my full complaint basically saying that unless I said no substitutes they sometimes substitute. My order said no substitutes and I had said that in my complaint. Will bot be ordering from there again. No customer service at all.

Saturday's until 1pm there are local Mennonites selling actual farm produce. Try their Saskatoon berry pies! The business itself is a somewhat pricey but nice place for your decorative or gardening needs. A good alternative to the big box hardware stores.

I wish they had staff that customers could consult when shopping in the garden centre. Most current staff seem to avoid eye contact and conversation. Really love the new store, but half the shelves are empty, plant labeling is terrible, there's broken display items on the floor and sale information throughout the store is very confusing. Haven't they been open at the new location since April? Why does it seem like they're still moving in? I think my biggest gripe is with the lack of proper plant labeling and information. I had to rely on the (very handy, as it turns out) Google Lens to figure out if each plant that piqued my interest would kill my cats once brought home. I was really excited for their "glow up," but it appears they're still learning how to walk in their new heels. ????‍♀️

Very disappointed in the customer service. I called last week after I had a family member pick up my online order. I am missing items and instead of the Button Fern that I had ordered I was given a Tiger Fern that looks very, very poor. My Spearmint was wilting and extremely dry. The person I spoke to on the phone couldn't be bothered, so I emailed them instead. It's frustrating that they can keep up their social media pages and reply back instantly to comments but fail to reply to my email. FOLLOW UP: A very nice lady from Dutch, called me in regards to my order. My plants that are not in good health will be exchanged and the missing plant is being tracked down. Hopefully this experience was a fluke and we will have a better experience in the future.

Poor customer service. I ordered several plants for curbside pickup, well in advance. When I arrived on the specified day, the parking lot was packed, people were clearly parking in the curbside pickup that were not picking up. So I parked on the street and called. The girl that answered was polite at first then she informed me 80% of my order was not available. I mentioned this was odd since my email indicated the order was confirmed and ready. She stated if *I* had looked at the email I'd have seen that most of it was unavailable. Upon further review of ALL the emails from Dutch Growers, there was absolutely no indication so many plants were sold out. At least they refunded my order after I drove across the city wasting time and gas. I understand times are difficult at the moment, however Dutch Growers have been offering curbside pickup for months now and should be managing their stock, their employees, and services better.

Have a very good selection of plants, shrubs and trees. However very expensive (rip off in my opinion); and often don’t have basic gardening items such as less expensive plant pots and soils. I went here in search of cactus soil and basic clay pots. Nada. There is a ton of chi chi merchandise in the front of the store to encourage you to waste your money. And they don’t sell larger sized womens’ clothing. I only shop here when I’m looking for less common perennials that I can’t find elsewhere.

Was told on the phone that masks are not mandatory. Drove all the way from the north end to the South End to be told that they are mandatory and that in order to get in I have to pay $3 for a mask! Absolutely ridiculous! Will not be going back!

Hands-down the best place in Regina to purchase a Christmas Tree. We drove all over the city trying to find something just right and Dutch Growers had the best variety by a wide margin. We're very happy with how well the tree held up. It's very thirsty, but if you keep it watered it stays extremely healthy. We've had it up for a few weeks now and it hasn't dropped more than a handful of needles. Highly recommended!

The worst place in the city to work. On multiple occasions the owner Karen would yell at employees in front of customers and made everyone feel poorly about themselves. The supervisors are terrible and expect way too much of someone who just started. The overall atmosphere is damaging to mental health. Further the product is way overpriced. There is a reason Dutch Growers has such a bad reputation when it comes to how they treat their staff. Would give it no stars if i could. EDIT*** Since posting I have received nasty messages from Karen about my review. I’m all for supporting local, but I refuse to support a bully.

I asked the girl at the front where to find it and she said to follow down the aisle and it'll get me there. I followed the aisle looked all over inside and couldn't find it. Started my way back, I finally stop someone and ask them if they had peat moss and she said oh it's outside. I asked how to get out there? She said keep going and you'll find an opening to the outside. I did eventually find the peat moss but I really don't appreciate the lack of customer service. Are you guys that busy that you can't help out your customers? I'm currently having some knee problems and am visibly limping but of course nobody would help. It is a very beautiful store but I won't come back. I will give my money to places that appreciate my business.

I totally agree with the other review with regards to their plants having spider mites. I bought a Hoya plant and it was infested with mites which then invaded some of my other plants. They offered me nothing. I wont go there again .

I purchased 4 plants for the office from Dutch Growers, costing over $300. A few days later I noticed the plants had bugs, like a lot of bugs. I called Dutch to find out about warranty on these plants, the bugs are out of control at this point. No Warranty. The only solution they had for me was to purchase an insecticide to kill the bugs in the soil. Honestly? Yuck. Not worth the money for bug infested plants that they don't take accountability for.

Awfully disappointed with the customer service as well as the website. I called to clarify that I could pick up a package I was ordering online this Saturday since I am from out of town and they offer free curbside pickup. They assured me over the phone that I could pick up on Saturday however they decline to tell me that they do not keep their website up to date and what i was ordering may not be in-stock. After ordering my purchase online they sent me a refund email telling me they did not have my selected size and in-stock. Just to clarify online showed they had sizes from xxs to xl available which was not the case. My question to the owners, why have an online purchasing option if you are not going to keep it updated for your customers? Will not recommend or return.

I do not recommend being apart of the "touch of Dutch club" not what they said it would be. No live plant pay $40 for 1 item that cost $25.99. They also failed to email me back when asked to unsubscribed from the club. I'd recommend checking other stores out before going to Dutch. Rona& lowes has a great selection with similair plant at a lower price! Also fat plant farm & the little big plant company are great local houseplant shops with amaazing help with reasonable pricing!

I think not only is it it ridiculous, it is indefensible, that any company would ask for credit card information over the phone in order to hold something for three hours until pick up. One would think that long time customers would be offered at least that small dignity. Yes, great selection of healthy plants, and all that goes with them, but customer service and respect should be of chief importance.

Finding help was very difficult. I had to go to the line up and wait until I got to a cashier to ask my questions. Then I was told that they don't carry drainage balls for plants nor peat moss. I miss the old Dutch growers:(

Had a very disappointing experience at Dutch Growers in Regina today. We went down today to purchase an Inukshuk statue. They are expensive, but we had $250 in gift certificates, so what the heck!. At the checkout we were informed by the manager they do not honor Dutch Growers gift certificates purchased in Saskatoon($150 of them) ... The reason giving was that they are on different systems (Sounds like their problem ... not mine), but the manager was happy to inform us that we could use the gift certificated purchase in Regina at the Saskatoon store. It was 1 hour before closing and they were having a sale starting the next day (20% off) .... I asked the manager if I could have the discount today instead, and got a prompt "No" for an answer. Needless to say, we left the store without the Inukshuk ... very disappointed in how were were handled by the manager. I hope this isn't how Dutch Grows in Saskatoon treats their customers as I guess we will be driving to Saskatoon to use our gift certificates.

Their was one guy outside he asked me do you have mask.I said I don't have because it's not mandatory as per SK law, but he said it's mandatory for this store, I said then give me one. He told me you have to buy from us for $3, I said really 90 cent musk you are giving customers for $3, now you are making money to sale the masks to customers. Which Costco is giving for free....anyways they didn't allow us to go inside the store........because I told them first it's not SK rule to wear masks, second you are giving this for $3 which cost you less than dollar third if it's your store rule then you should give free how Costco is giving

I've always loved Dutch and have always purchased many veggies for my garden from there, but recently had a negative experience. I had inquired about when some of their peppers were coming in about a week before the May long weekend and they hoped to have their full stock then. I had went in and they didn't have some of the peppers I wanted, but no big deal I waited to see if they would come in during the following week after. I had checked the website diligently, but did notice that their website wasn't fully correct when I was in May long as I found they had a lot of stuff in store that was listed as sold out on their website. Again, no big deal since I can stop by every now and then and times have been crazy with delays and intense foot traffic this time of year. I had called yesterday inquiring about when they might be coming in (because I'm not going there everyday to check during a pandemic when we should be distancing and limiting our outings) since I hadn't seen them available on the website yet. I was met with a lot of defensive comments and rudeness when I was only inquiring when they might be coming in so I could make the trip down there. I was really taken aback because I've always had good experiences there and this really put a bad taste in my mouth. I do not expect them to be perfect and always have their website updated, but I was only asking a simple question and not in any rush or demanding when their stock would come in.

A go to for inexpensive succulents. The succulent selection was amazing, The girl's in that area are always very friendly and helpful, the prices are beating almost everyone in town, the young cashier was super sweet & attentive, he even packed our very small pots in a paper bag with plastic bag fillers to prevent a chill to our new plant babies. The prices on almost everything else is prohibitive for anyone on a budget...but the quality of plants far surpasses any other local store.

The employees are friendly and it's always a treat to walk around and see everything but its soooooo overpriced. You can find most plants elsewhere for at least half, if not 3/4 the price. I'm also a bit annoyed with being told to come back and check in another day or two to see if an item is in stock and when I call to save myself the 40 minute trip, I'm told to come in and check! Like, what!? Someone there should know if a plant is there and if not, what's on order and when its expected.

Terrible experience - this used to be friendly garden centre with quality plants but this morning I encountered an awful supervisor when returning a warranty purchase. She was dismissive to the other staff then rude and incompetent with the customers. She even had the audacity to blame the other staff for her faults. Great selection of Christmas trees ( natural) garlands, pre-decorated pots, Christmas decorations and gifts in the Christmas season. I think there is also a ladies clothing and accessories area inside main ( original) building.

I bought $500 worth of trees and plants to be delivered the next day. Guy asked me the time and I gave them one as per their schedule. Next day, I kept waiting and finally called 3 hours after the scheduled delivery time to be told it hasn't been picked up for for delivery. Next day I called again and was told that their delivery driver is a high schooler and and he cannot deliver in the morning. I asked them what time will it be delivered and they have no clue. I have work and cannot sit home all day. Already wasted 2 days sitting home and havent got my stuff delivered.
