There aren't enough stars on this page to show how pleased we were with the great service we received Easter weekend. We celebrated my mothers 90th birthday and Denny's was able to accommodate my whole family. Major thanks to the General Manager Kayla for organizing and going out of her way to set this all up for us and to all the servers who were so wonderful to our group. The service was outstanding.

Update (October 2020): After the prior incident I heard back form the Executive General Manager and she kindly and respectfully acknowledged the mistake and offered us compensation. Thank you for taking your time and appreciating your customers. We will be going there again soon. Old Review (August 2020): Poor customer service, but ok food. When we were seated we asked the server if a certain discount for healthcare professionals is active and applies and she said yes, but when we went to pay we had to pay the full price as we were told that the discount is only for take-out. A professional business should take responsibility for all employees mistakes and not make the customer have to pay for their error. Definitely not pleased.

The staff was very helpful. It was hard for them to cover all the customers but they did. I had the bourbon chicken skillet. It was fantastic. Lots of veggies and decent amount of chicken. I thought I was dinning at a five star restaurant. That’s how good it was. Five stars.

Perfect covid protocols felt safe and the service was also perfect. Server noticed from a distance dissatisfaction with an item and it was corrected before I could talk to her about it, perfect service. Where other restaurants are skirting or flouting the covid governmental mandates it’s nice to feel safe and that they ACTUALLY care about your well-being (life). As an edit the rewards program has changed and made unusable or at the very least so confusing you can’t add your purchases or use your points, at least after 45 minutes of signing in to their new xDine reward so even though the service was awesome, they may lose my business completely, nothing is more irritating than building a balance with a loyalty program, only to have it changed(ripped off). Sorry servers and employees your upper management messed this up badly at a very bad time.☹️

I'm horrified. My boyfriend and I were weekly regulars here but not anymore. All staff have stopped wearing masks despite the fact that the CDC says that people who are not fully immunized should still wear a mask indoors, especially food service workers. Not only that, but when we went in the tables were absolutely filthy. The waitress was rude and told us we should take off our masks as if it was a crime to be wearing them. Will not be coming back. This establishment has lost our business.

Denny's Quesnel has gone downhill big time. The hostess and waitresses are still top notch but the cook we had was very very bad at his job. Apparently this is his second or even third try at this, he just keeps getting rehired back there though he really shouldn't. When you order eggs Benedict, and you ask for soft yokes, you kind of expect to have soft yokes and some Hollandaise sauce. I got neither. The eggs were beyond hard boiled and there was (if I was lucky), a teaspoon of sauce. For that I waited close to an hour. I duly showed the plate to the waitress upon it's arrival and it was agreed that it was rather a pathetic attempt. Long and short or this, they knocked off the price ... of my drink.

Slow service. Extremely long wait for the food to arrive. In a party of five two dishes were brought out then a couple minutes later one dish then at least five minutes after the last two were delivered. Of the first two meals one was just warm and the other had raw chicken fingers. The crazy spicey chicken skillet bore no resemblance to the menu photo and was saturated with chili spice killing any other flavours. Ultimately the worst meal and dining experience I can remember.

Food was nice but service was not great. The supervisor ignored us and people walked out at least 4 tables while I was there. The servers were under pressure I understand that and they got to us after 45 minutes without a drink but it was not there fault as they were under staffed . The manager made a mess of things and the people behind us sat so long they rang in there order for takeaway as they still hadn't got a drink infront of them . Would recommend if you had time on your hands .

Good dining experience suitable for families or anyone looking to sit down for a while to eat. Large selection of breakfast items all day long and large portion sizes for almost all meals. Kids meals are customizable to taste with lots of selections available. Bottomless drinks and always fresh coffee make the wait for food feel much shorter. Staff is always professional even when it's packed and is honest about cooking times if the kitchen is swamped. Reasonable prices on most items and great seasonal deals make this a good option to eat out without breaking the bank. Late night coffee and food is also a plus. Only issue that might be encountered is a wait on food during really busy times.

Menu says, "Two WILD CAUGHT fish fillets fried to a golden brown". WHAT I GOT WAS SOME "FISHFLAVORED" PATTIES, SHAPED LIKE A FISH WITH NO TAIL, AND BATTERED AND FROZEN THEN DEEP FRIED TO A GOLDEN BROWN. I DOUBT THERE IS ANY ACTUAL FISH. I TOLD THE MANAGER "THOMAS", NO ONE SHOULD EXPECT A CUSTOMER TO PAY FOR IT AT ALL" He said he would get in trouble, "he didn't disagree I shouldn't have to pay for mock fish sold as "wild caught fillets", but would get reprimanded! Obviously not manager material here. Clearly Denny's doesn't care about customers any more they will serve fake fish claiming it's wild caught fillets and make $2 more per serving. GREED HAS RUINED DENNY'S!! STAY AWAY FROM DENNY'S!! AT LEAST QUESNEL BC LOCATION

Our visit to Denny's today was Horrible! We understood there would be a bit of a wait for food, and that wasn't the issue. The issues were, our beverages weren't even refilled once. We had to repeatedly ask for condiments such as ketchup, franks hot sauce and the kids ranch to dip for their veggies. And it was huge wait to finally get them. Also both kids pasta had at best 2Tbsp of sauce on their under cooked pasta. (My niece was even gagging on them with how under cooked they were) And it took forever to get them enough sauce to lightly cover their pasta. I have never experienced any other Denny's giving such a extremely sparse serving of sauce on kids meals. The excuse was that kids can be picky. If this a concern maybe sauce should be served on the side. We also witnessed a server (Maddy) LICKING HER FINGERS. Our server (Amy) was ran off her feet while other workers stood around. She was even clearing dirty dishes, and serving new dishes without sanitizing between. This was not a good Denny's experience. And would not recommend.

Employees make a difference in every business, tonight I encounter a bad experience where making you feel not too smart was a plus for the waiter, I asked for a cubb salad looking to the picture it had prime ribb, but I did not realized that I needed to asked for it, until I was served and surprise that the meat was not there, asking to my server of what I order she mentioned.. well.. you should ask for it, chicken or meat..while in that moment I was wondering too bad that I did not read the small letters on the picture, but I wish she could it give me an option to choose as well, then she just turn around all rude and up set, but honestly I wanted with prime rib, I approach my waiter to let her know to please add the meat to it, she try to discourage me saying that she had other customer wating, that the kitchen was busy and that it will take 25 minutes and when I say ok I wait, I notice she was upset for it, at the end it took 5 minutes, but nothing to do with the picture, it was the 4 smallest pieces, I wont go back to this specific Dennys, employees don't really care about customers. Unfortunately one employee can make a difference, just wanted to share my experience. Thanks.

As for the people writing negative and false comments, they probably got fired for incompetence and have nothing better to do, if your meal takes more then 15 minutes it's because they are either very busy or perhaps training a new cook, mistakes happen and nobodies perfect but these negative comments are an exaggeration and quite frankly, retarded... Sunday 8:30 pm, NOT busy. Coffee and milkshake forgotten. Coffee came burnt; half an hour after ordering (and meal completely eaten) coffee finally came. Water refill was warm; no ice. Although, they did check on gluten content in the mayo and whipping creme, so there's that. Then, it took 15 minutes for the bill to come.

In this instance, I let the matter slide as the serving I did receive was mostly ice despite my request for little ice. This was the first time at this location that I was not completely satisfied. However, I will visit again and expect that service will be more acceptable.

My husband and I went for lunch last week before lock down. My personal favorite is the cali burrito. My husband had the club with frys and gravy. Took way to long to be seated, 10 minutes before anyone came around for drinks and menus, took a hour to get food, once got food the onion rings are 4.99 for 5 rings. Not worth it. Everything came on seperate plates, plates were to big for how little food came on them. The waitress added bacon to our food when we never asked for bacon. They kept saying they only had 1 cook on. Watched as others seated near us had to change their order 3 times due to the kitchen not having it and the waitresses letting them order it.

Dennie’s in Quesnel BC has always been a restaurant we enjoy but after our new life styles do to covid they have been simply awesome. They’re management and staff deserve a gold star. Sanitation fantastic the extra time it all takes with smiles under they’re masks. It’s so nice to go somewhere in these times (and always )to have servers be happy and efficient , smiles and great service is what your served there. Great food great service it very simply couldn’t be improved on . Will always be our go to place and thank you for all the extra effort a atmosphere you can relax and enjoy you meal. Well done Dennie’s !!

Every time I go to this place the hostesses takes forever to seat my family and I. They spend more time talking with one another about personal business rather than actually doing their jobs and paying attention to their customers. The food is either undercooked, or overcooked. They are not effective what so ever in correcting their mistakes and the servers become rather short and rude. I have never had a good experience here. Their COVID protocols are absolutely ridiculous and will not accept any paper copies proving you’ve been vaccinated. Any proof should be enough as my family and I have been able to go into any other place of business without any issue. Highly disappointed and definitely will not be helping support this very poor at satisfying business.

July 25 we were visiting your storeabout 7pm.We were seatedat a booth by the front windows to the left of the door.Above us the air conditioner wasblowing down on usto the point the tea coffee were cold within10minutes.WeAsked if it could turned off the waitress saidthey no longer had access to the thermastat .She was apologetic and kind.The food was cold shortly after we were served.It was so cold we had to leave.We will not be returning until this is fixed The general temperature was cold for the whole restaurant It is sad the workers had to work in such an enviroment

Much respect for Melissa E for being our hostess, seater, server, etc - for us and several other tables - on the Easter weekend. She was working hard, and was very efficient! (Better than a lot of servers with only one job in Vancouver.) Food was ready quickly and had great taste as well. Thank you! When we come through again, we will eat here!

We did not have the greatest experience here. My husband ordered a burger with 2 patties, but when it finally arrived, it only had 1 patty. They apologized, took the burger away, and made us wait a long time before the correct order arrived. They tried to explain away their mistake by saying "it was an easy mistake. The buttons are beside each other". My 2 year old was running around and I got lots of dirty looks, despite spending almost my entire time at the restaurant doing my best to make sure she wasn't bothering anyone. My 3 year old spilled her apple juice, and they helped clean it up, which was nice. However, they left the floor soaking wet and slippery with detergent. They put a "wet floor" sign up, but many people walking past still nearly slipped. My 2 year old did slip and fall on her bum due to the slippery floor. Finally, another worker and I dried the floor with paper towel. When I went to pay, the worker leaned forward and watched the screen when it was time for me to select the tip amount. I was pressured into giving a tip when I didnt feel like the restaurant deserved it.

I was passing through Quesnel with family and we were really happy we chose to eat here.The food was excellent and the server (Kendal) was definitely serious about providing great service. Her and the other staff were quick and always busy checking on customers or cleaning tables, so it instills confidence in the whole meal when you see people take their job seriously.Thanks again.

We got there at 10 and we didn’t eat until about 11:20/11:30. We didn’t even get our order taken until about 40 minutes in. In their defence there was a large table in before us but they had already eaten and were leaving. The only reason that slowed our service is because our server spent a fair amount of time doing payments, but after that she didn’t come right over to take our order. My partner actually got up and asked her if she could come take our order after sitting there for forever. Food was ok but service was very slow, and I am a server currently so I get things take time. I have the same job, and I’m very understanding but I felt as if service could have been better. disappointed.

These guys are nice as heck, very welcoming, Ive went here for years and i always get the lemon tea there and chill, I usually went there after work but they dont stay open that long anymore. Last time I was there it was my bday and I wasnt having a nice day and still they were so kind and cheered me up. Always a good time when i go there, that's why it'll always be the place to go to for me and my family

Denny’s has been our go to place for Sunday breakfasts and occasionally lunch (great burgers) since we moved to Quesnel 8 years ago. The food is always good and the people who work there are GREAT.

I felt safe having breakfast with my husband this morning, we're extremely covid cautious. We're shocked that the waffles are gone! After the pancakes were suggested I finally tried them 10/10! Despite it being early, the ladies provided some entertainment when they took a moment to enjoy the song playing.

Its a quick turn of the main road for good dining experience suitable for families or anyone looking to sit down for a while to eat.It has a great selection of items. Kids meals are customizable to taste with lots of selections available. Bottomless drinks and always fresh coffee make the wait for food feel much shorter. Staff is always professional even when it's packed and is honest about cooking times if the kitchen is swamped. When your traveling this is the spot for your quick meals. Reasonable prices on most items and great seasonal deals make this a good option to eat out without breaking the bank. Late night coffee and food is also a plus. Only issue that might be encountered is a wait on food during really busy times.

Have tried many times, the odd time service and meal were good, but we have had too many times that we have had a bad experience. waiting 30-60 minutes for our food too many times we dont receive everything that comes with a meal. Have often had luke warm coffee, had a hamburger, bottom bun fell into pieces upon picking it up, hamburger Patti was greasy and no seasoning.

This place is horrible. Been there a few times, each time it has had the worst service, greasy, salty food that's not even hot, and the drinks (coffee, Iced tea and water) took half an hour to get to us and remained empty for the whole meal. They charged us for every little thing that was supposed to be included in the meal (ie salsa and sour cream for a quasadillia, toast In a lumberjack slam) and then when we went to pay, they took our card then talked on the phone for 10 minutes while we waited to pay. We will not be going here again. No more second chances.

Service is so friendly and fast. The restaurant was clean as were the bathrooms which is always appreciated. We really enjoyed the food which arrived hot and fresh. I was surprised at how quickly we got the food even though it wasn't terribly busy. We don't always have high expectations of a Denny's but this particular one is always on our must-stop list as we travel through the area. We've never had a bad experience with the food or the service. We'll be back next time we're passing by!
