They had what we needed but we didn't feel safe going in there. We stepped in and noticed right away that one of the staff members wasn't wearing a mask (even though their own signage at the door says a face covering must be worn...). I asked him if there was a reason why he wasn't wearing one and he said he was eating--a box of Timbits sat on the counter in front of him. He said "there's a plexiglass, you're fine." I backed out of the store to talk with my wife about what to do because I didn't feel comfortable. Had to go back in and give him the choice of putting on his mask or having us go elsewhere. Only then did he begrudgingly put it on. Don't plan on going back here. We were there this morning on Sunday April 11th around 11:45AM.

Fast , friendly and efficient service. Had 3 yards of top soil delivered today. My driveway is a big challenge to navigate as it is narrow and has overhanging drain spouts the driver was a pro. Amazing job.

Ordered 3 yards of GroVeg soil based on composition and description as an "organic" option. Delivery was fast and easy While moving the soil to its location in a new veggie garden, began picking out multiple small pieces of plastic. Almost filled a small grocery bag with plastic waste. Picture attached is a sample of last last half yard or so, items include: Chunks of PVC pipe, ball point pen, shredded film plastic, Styrofoam etc (pencil is for scale). When I called to express my frustration, was told that the leaf compost comes from municipal waste collection and that after its shredded it's screened but doesn't get everything...clearly an understatement. Was offered 2 bags of soil as compensation...declined as I didn't need more of the same issue. Email to owner has gone over 1 week with no response. If you are looking for a clean "organic" soil option, look elsewhere.

bought 3 yards of their triple mix for 2 new raised beds this spring and am so disappointed. though I added peat moss and manure by the bagfuls, it still turns to rock-hard clay-ish mix when wet. never again. heavy dirt is how it looks and feels. not impressed at all. bad batch or what? the staff were fine.

I have bought gardening supplies from this company in several occasions, but after this past experiance I will never again deal with them and will never reccomend them. I experianced an incident in the delivery of the product I bought, damage to my driveway, but in order to get a response I had to call four times to be able to talk to someone, in addition to an email I had to send. After speaking to the manager, he was not apologetic, nor did he take any responsibility for what happened or showed any sympathy. Instead he passed the blame on the lack of information his team had to handle the situation, though a call back saying the manager would call me the next day would of been sufficient. He also blamed the quality of the paving on my driveway and suggested for me to call the paving company. Ultimately, he made me feel like it was my fault and like he did not really care at all as the solution he offered was one I had to follow up on, though it was their drivers that did the damage (regardless of the situation). He also stated that on the reciept it says they do not take responsibility for damages, though there is nothing stated on the reciept I received. I have worked in customer service industry for a long time and this was definitely not the way to handle this situation.

I had 10 yards of triple mix delivered to my property this week from Peterborough Landscape supply and we are very happy with the product and the service. There was a bit of a delay getting it but the staff were great to deal with and always polite. Seems like a great place to work, the driver who delivered it said he has worked there for 17 years and I can see why. Keep up the good work! Thanks

I was so happy to hear that Ptbo landscape was open and I could get soil for my garden delivered. I live in a triplex and it was very important to me they call before dumping the soil, compost and mulch.. I never recieved a call, didnt even hear the truck come in. They dumped it in my buildings parking lot far away from where it needed to go. Now I have to move 3 huge piles with a toddler in tow. I'm so unimpressed upset and dissapointed in their service. I know with covid 19 things are difficult to do and their business is running differently now but they're not going to contract the virus from making a phone call!!

Terrible warranty policy - 50% in store credit is all that they offer. Also, pay attention to the NO warranty policy if you purchase something on sale!! Terrible service at the west end location on Lansdowne. They spent 15 mins looking for "niki" before another lady finally said she could help. After handing her the receipt and explaining that a tree i bought from them in the fall died she informed me that it was on sale and there is no warranty on it. I mentioned to her that I was told there is a warranty on it and she said "Well I'm not going to tell you you're a liar" so ill give you a 50% credit towards another one. Then she said they do not have that type of tree in stock. I asked if she could look into when it would be arriving and she said "that would involve calling someone". Terrible terrible experience. Will not be going back.

The staff at Peterborough Landscape Supply are hard workers and it shows. The two locations look GREAT every time I visit. The products are well-priced, well-displayed -- everything is neat and tidy. I would recommend both stores to anyone looking for mulch, topsoil, annuals, perennials, trees or garden decor. Fantastic people. To the reviewer who complained about plastic in the compost, I've seen small bits of plastic in compost for years no matter where I buy it!

After making the mistake of buying some half-dead sod at Home Depot (for $5+ a roll), I went to PLS to check out their product. I thought maybe MOST sod is half-dead in August. Was happy to discover healthy sod, for only $3+ a roll. Happy lawn, happy homeowner.

I had terrible customer service from the yard to the counter. I had some issues with pricing and miscommunication and ended up paying 3x the amount I should have and not even the owner of the company would do anything about it. I took my business elsewhere and will for now on. Much better place and better price and product at the other place I went.

My fiance and I visited the Keene rd location the other weekend. A man named Michael helped us as we had mentioned my Mother had bought us a tree as a house warming gift and all we had to do was pick it up. The lady who helped her mentioned it would be ready with our names on it! Michael looked in the system for an invoice with our names but couldn't find anything. I told him I'd go grab my phone and call my mom for an invoice number. Before I came back into the store he was yelling at the lady working with him then began yelling at me. All because we didn't have an invoice on us rather than asking us to call for the number. Never have I ever been treated with such disrespect over something so small when simply communicating what we needed to provide could have saved us all some stress amd time. Thanks Michael for ruining the gift my mom put so much time and money into.

Amazing service and speed!! I ordered 5 cubic yards of topsoil and half a cubic yard of gravel at 9am on a weekday and it was delivered that same day! I spoke to two different people on the phone and they both helped me do the math for how much I'd need (I just gave them the dimensions of my yard). I was considering the "yard to you" by home depot but 1 cubic yard would have cost more than the 5 cubic yards I got here, and home depot makes you wait up to 9 business days! I would definitely recommend giving these guys a call.

We would like to start out by thanking John and Fraser for spending 3 hours of their time with us going over Marquis tubs, the ins and outs of them and answering any questions we had. Their advice, knowledge and expertise gave us a better feeling about the Marquis products and the comfort in purchasing a tub over another tub we were considering. Peterborough Landscape Supply is a family run business that provides much more than just hot tubs and they will be around for many years to come. Both John and Fraser have provided excellent customer service not only during our purchase but even after the delivery. They are always there to help their customers. Knowing Make a Wish foundation endorses Marquis Hot Tubs was another reason we felt comfortable in making the decision to purchase our tub. We would also like to thank Mike the hot tub guy for his delivery and set up of our tub. He is very knowledgeable and there to help ensure your tub is working 100%. Called in this morning to get a price on bulk landscaping rock. When I arrived an hour later they told me that they were out of stock. They had a few that they had bagged themselves that they were unaware of I asked if they could give me the bags that they had at the bulk price as I had already driven there. Lady helping me said that she didn't have authorization and checked with her manager. She explained that they didn't advise me they didn't have any when I called and that I have given all the way there. The manager would not. Disappointing customer service. They failed to inform me that of the lack of product and when drove there, would not assist with any comprising.

I'm a pretty easy going guy with free time at the moment, but when your company takes my card info and my order I expect it delivered as discussed. Called this morning to find out the status of and was told "they can't do this kind of order this time of year..." THIS IS WHY YOUR BUSINESS EXISTS. ...anyway, cancelled and took my business to Nicholson Brothers in Campbellford. I kid you not, left a message at 6:30am, first load delivered about 15 minutes ago. That's how you gain new and continued customers.

The 2 young guys loaded my car with 2 bags of limestone screening when i got home there was holes poked in bags my trunk filled with gravel. What a joke wish could post pics! Go anywhere else !!!!

Terrible prices! Terrible return policy! Terrible customer service! Terrible experience! I strongly suggest buying your trees elsewhere. They do not openly discuss their 50% return policy until you need to replace a tree. You are then simply re-buying the trees at cost since they are so overpriced! 2 out of 4 trees, which were bought at PLS, and planted by a landscape “professional” that PLS recommended, died. When you request that they honour their return policy, they make it an impossible endeavour! I have spent 9 MONTHS trying to replace the trees and have them honour their return policy: a process that I started only 3 MONTHS after they were purchased. This has never been rectified by PLS; they only drag their feet and argue. Go to a reputable greenhouse where they honour a 100% replacement policy on their trees. Very bad business practices and EXTREMELY bad customer relations. Do yourself a favour and go elsewhere!!!

THE COMPOST IS FULL OF BITS OF TRASH!! I ordered 5 yards of compost and was not told where it was supplied from. I paid $288 for it and when I calmly called them with my issue I was told to take it up with the City of Peterborough where the compost is supplied from. POOR CUSTOMER RELATIONS! They did nothing to help.

We have bought $1000+ of materials from this place every summer, never once had an awful experience until yesterday. We decided to stop by around 2:15 to get maybe 4-5 bags of soil. Since the gate/door were open we though they were still working but until we went to checkout the lady told us that they were trying to close by 2:00 which was a surprised, so I quickly apologized for being that “last minute customer” and the lovely lady was like no no it’s totally fine thank you for your business. But then when we went outside to get the soil, we ended up having an attitude from one of their workers mad about people still being there, not only he didn’t say hi but he was extremely careless and smashed my door close. It took a lot of me to not say “be thankful to still have a job” Hopefully that worker changes his attitude.

When I called back I was told I was given the wrong price so not only do they not match other prices not even their own.
