Definitely worth the drive! We headed out with an idea in mind of the perennial flowers and hostas that we wanted to get, but after chatting with the staff, realized we weren't choosing the right plants! Suzanne helped us choose the right flowers and plan out the entire garden bed we had available. Other staffers were super helpful and friendly too! They have amazing gardens that showcase all the different plants and flowers available and any question you have, they can answer. Will definitely be back here next year for some annuals :)

Nice nursery well stocked. Helpful staff. Fields of daylilies , they will dig one up for you if they don't have one in a pot.

Excellent selection of perennials and very helpful staff. Was looking for native plants and received personal attention from staff person Clare in seeking out and discussing native plant options for 2 different habitats. Prices are reasonable. Pathways allow access to a variety of display gardens so it is possible to see the plant in growth. I love the garden ornaments that occur throughout the display gardens as well - whimsical and interesting.

I am not sure how I have missed this amazing place but I am so glad to have found it! The selection of unique and healthy perennials was amazing and the beautifully maintained gardens provided perfect inspiration. The staff were generous with their time and expertise it helping to plan and select all of our plants for our space. I will be back for our next project as soon as possible!

Truly a unique experience. This garden centre features beautiful pathways and thoughtfully designed garden beds (including deep shade and aquatic) so you can see the plants thriving in their full glory. Unique varieties, and extensive collection of day lilies. Staff were very knowledgable, and helpful in finding solutions for one of our tricky spots in our Peony bed. Pricing was average to slightly high, but the quality and selection and service more than make up for it.

We visited whitehouse beginning of the season and bought a variety of plans recommended by the owner and were not disappointed. We went back this past weekend and bought more and 2 of our friends were so impressed they did too. We were delighted to see some outdoor art as well - really talented artists.

We had a bad experience returning a dead plant. We made a mistake purchasing a plant that doesn't look that well at the time. It was the last one they had and the staff told us just return it if it doesn't survive. After 2 months the plant died. We took it back with receipts. An older gentleman handled our return. He said "did you look at the return policy on the receipt?". I said no, and then he said "well, may be you should"! I said someone told us to return it if it died. I can't remember what his response was. Another issue on the return process is there is no plant name or plant code on the receipt. Everything is labelled as "PLANTS" on the receipt (we bought many plants). We have a picture of the plant when we bought it. The staff pointed to one "PLANTS" on the receipt and said this is most likely the one. On the other hand, I have to say most staffs we met on all our visits are very helpful and knowledgeable.

Magnificent gardens to admire and get inspiration from. Huge choice of plants, including shade-loving ones, and of plants that you would not find in most garden centers. Extremely knowledgeable owners Susan and Bruce always happy to help and give advice. I drive 80 kms to get these plants!

What a great place for any gardener or garden lover. Beautiful display gardens awesome huge hosta shade garden all labeled. The day Lilly field is to die for. Could spend days. Great value to be had always but especially during bloomfest. Clump sales and bonuses. Great friendly knowledgeable staff fantastic customer service.

We were there for their day lily bloomfest and art show. It is very beautiful. The art is great as well. Bought a ceramic Green man and a carved and painted tulip ????with a face a la Alice in Wonderland.

Amazing greenhouse! They have a huge selection of day lilies and hostas. All of their perennials, shrubs etc. are very healthy. The staff are friendly and very knowledgeable. One of the best nurseries in the area. Make sure to take the time to walk through their gorgeous gardens.

I was thoroughly excited by the thoughts of a new place that I haven't seen where there was up a ton of perennials a huge beautiful yard full of flowers that we're ready to be dug up for anyone to enjoy in their own homes they had beautiful walking paths with beautiful tingling Windchimes and nice nice local art pieces put into their Garden it was an absolute enjoyable afternoon

Amazing assortment of hostas! And so many other shrubs and flowers available. Most importantly, no question goes unanswered. Staff extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Worth the drive from Ottawa..... makes for a lovely outing as well.
