We have a complex, multi-year project going on, and had interviewed several landscaping companies in the beginning before we met Andrew Peterson, the owner of Ottawa Home and Garden. Friendly and personable, Andrew is easy to talk to and takes the time to listen to what you want to create, making suggestions and coming up with a drawing to match your verbal plan. We first had Ottawa H&G create the deck around our newly installed pool. They did a fantastic job with the pavers, carving them around all the large rocks in our retaining wall. We then came up with the idea to create a pump track in our backyard, and even though Andrew had never heard of such a thing before, he jumped at the chance to figure out how to make it happen. The track turned out to be spectacular; the kids and I use it on a nearly daily basis. Some things I look for in a landscape company are creativity and curiosity, and a willingness to at least attempt the unknown. Ottawa H&G has continually demonstrated these qualities, and I do not hesitate to recommend them to anyone I know that is in need of this type of service.

We can't say enough about the quality of the work that Andrew provided for numerous projects on our property. From our pool area, to the patio, to the front step/entrance - everything looks better than we could have hoped. Once the gardens have been completed, we look forward to posting some pictures. Even during Covid, when landscapers were in high demand, Andrew was loyal to his customers and did not rush any jobs. He even went as far as planning ahead during the fall for a job that we were having done in the spring due to the unavailability of materials. Andrew and his team are true professionals. His many years of experience shows in his work in doing interlock, retaining walls and jumping rocks, our pool are looks amazing. Andrew was very understanding and patient with us during the finalization of the agreement as we had made several changes. He even presented a concept graphic to show what the final product would look like. Once construction started he was all ears and receptive to our questions and concerns. He made accomodations to our request and was very professional about it. The site was always cleaned up at the end of the day and was respectful of the property. He isn't a contractor who is looking for more money at every chance he gets. He is more than fair and always communicating what is coming next. Trust me when I say you won't regret your decision to go with them.
