These guys are true professionals. have got cedar mulch off of them before and it is always top quality. Price is very competitive. It's a family run business with all 4 members of their family working in the business. I can't say enough good things about the quality of their work and the people who the run business. All top notch.

I spent $1,500 buying cedar trees here last week and returned today to buy two yards of topsoil and another thirty 8 to 10 foot cedars. We parked beside a pile of topsoil and apparently it irritated the large, rather grumpy gentleman who drives the tractor and loads the soil as he quite rudely told us to back our truck and trailer up to a further identical looking pile of black topsoil where he would load us up. Properly chastised for our ignorance, we moved the truck. We were then met with hostility from this disheveled man, asked why being told to back up would bother us and then told to take our business elsewhere. Yes he did. Even worse, he is the owner. Avoid this business as he has zero respect or kindness for his customers.

Great service and price, soil looks healthy (Organic Veggie mix by the yard), couple of big rocks and what seems like small bunches of uncomposted hay. Will look to build a top soil/compost sifter to make the very best garden soil. Satisfied

This place came from a recommendation from a friend. When I had called to order soil, they said they only deliver 7 cubic yards, but I mentioned their website indicated they will deliver 9, they said they will deliver 9. What was delivered did not look like 9 cubic yards - it was more like maybe 6. I have order larger quantities from other suppliers in the past and as well I asked a few neighbors and they said also said it looked like 5, maybe 6 at the most. I had called and left a message asking them to confirm that they did indeed deliver the proper amount. No call was returned at all!!! I placed an order for 9 cubic yards from Water and Earth Supply (on Carp Rd). The amount delivered by Water and Earth Supply was definitely what I would have expected 9 cubic yards to look like. Kudos to Water and Earth Supply. A definite boo to Manotick Gardens!!!

Empty promises. After telling us they would come out to our backyard and give us a quote for landscaping, we couldn't get anyone to visit. After two weeks and multiple calls and emails from us to different people at the company, we finally recieved an email saying they're too busy to come out this summer. We had high hopes as our first meeting was pleasant but this company is poorly managed. 1 star

Manotick Gardens is the a pet friendly establishment! the owner takes his two Pomeranians on deliveries every single day, and also has a German Shepard named Zoey who spends her days running freely around the acreage greeting all the dogs who come to visit..not sure why anyone would make up such a hurtful and untrue review:( sad.

The person with the service dog must be mistaken. We have tons of clients that come to our garden centre with all types of dogs. Pets are gladly welcome especially specialized ones such as this service dog. We would never ask someone to leave in this case at all. Sorry for the confusion, but not us.

Some of the best quality soil I’ve found in the area. Growing anything in compacted suburban soil can be a futile effort but I purchased several yards of their organic all purpose soil for my garden and raised beds and saw immediate success. Prices are very reasonable and staff is on point. Good plant selection for our climate zone and have seen perennials come back year to year.

On August 11th we ordered 4 cubic yards of Pine Nuggets to be delivered at our home. The material arrived on the day scheduled, however, not in the quantity ordered. The material was also littered with large stones, chunks of cement and metal scrap. Calling their office to discuss the issue, I was told by the employee I would have to speak with the owner and was advised he would call me back. No call was received and took 3 attempts to finally reach the owner. The owner advised me I did not know what 4 yards was and that he would not be delivering anymore material. I said he could come and pick up the material and refund my money - he refused. He was not interested in coming to see the material, nor a credit for the quality - which he admitted was not the best and I should have been advised. His only offer to resolve the issue was to deliver another 2 yards at $42 discount off the full price, and that I could come out to his store and he would show me what 4 yards is. Apparently the "33 years" in the business qualifies him to try to rip people off.

I wanted to get some flagstone. I was given a price of 60 a layer for the 1". When I went to pick up 1" she charged me for 1.5" not to mention the top layer that I got was totally picked over and mostly odd triangular shapes. Obviously leftovers from another pallet. I feel quite ripped off not to mention the layer that was underneath looked much better. Will not go back again. Only reason was the regular stone place was closed to the public.
