I have been there several times. There website has hours open. I left work early to get there last night to find it CLOSED EARLY!!! Not impressed. LEFT ...SPEND $300 at KINGSWAY GREENHOUSE. FUNNY thing saw the 3 ladies who also were told you were closed spending ALOT of money at KINGSWAY. OVER $600 LOSS for closing early. WAS IT WORTH IT

Bought Witzkes Beefsteak Tomatoes from my local garden centre in the spring and spent 3 months tending them only to find that they were anything but Beefsteak. Small, seedy with tough skins. Reached out to Witzkes with my concerns via email with absolutely no response. Beware Witzkes!

Good selection of plants with lots of pre-made ready-to-display planters. Most popular varieties of plants for planters and gardens are now sold out, but there is a sale on where you can buy flats of 10 small plants for $1-1.50 each or the flat for $10-15. Reduced operating hours so best to go in the morning or early afternoon.

Disappointed that the two audio clips on their website both state that all staff are wearing masks. That is not true at all. Visited on June 4, 2020 not one employee in of outside were wearing masks. I decided to leave immediately.

As always, Whitske's is an amazing greenhouse. Staff are always friendly and helpful. In my case the floor plant we bought had to be safe for cats. They checked that for me and reassured us that today's purchase was safe. The bonus was the plants were on sale too.

Excellent selection of mixed containers, both to hang and for setting on ground. Normally go in spring but our two hanging baskets (from a greenhouse in Bowmanville) were underwhelming, so we stopped by. Still had a nice selection in mid-July and were at sale prices. Will go back for spring next year for sure.

I have been buying flowers here for mother's day for 15 years and it has always been a pleasure. I bought my mother a hanging basket and drove straight from the greenhouse to her place to deliver it. When I was delivering it was noticed that there was bugs all over it. My mother called and they said to bring it back but when she brought it back they refused to exchange or refund her and it was embarrassing. I won't be shopping there again.

This has been our go-to place until this year because our vacation was earlier than usual. Imagine our surprise to find that all of the great flower baskets were gone when we came back from vacation, ready to buy our flowers! Oh, there were hundreds and hundreds of the same pretty standard and boring baskets you could find anywhere, but we had always gone to Witzke's for their special baskets. I am absolutely sure that we were not the only family that came in and walked right back out empty-handed and disappointed with a greenhouse loaded to the brim with so-so merchandise...... Come on, Witzke's!! Take a chance and make MORE of what you do best and make a lot more people happy!! This is the way to do business and to move merchandise. Your greenhouse was full of what you don't sell. Your greenhouse was empty of what you DO sell. Solution: make more of what sells and make MORE money; make more customers happy. Happy customers do all of their garden shopping in one place - yours! Surely hoping for better next year!!

Today was a first impression for me. I’d never been to this business before and found them online. I called because I needed 6 plants that were sold out everywhere and they had exactly 6 in stock. I asked them to put them aside for me and offered to pay over the phone if necessary because I was driving an hour and a half to get them. The company refused. Even when I escalated my request to the supervisor and owner (I really needed these 6 plants). I expected businesses would value customers more during COVID challenges, especially an opportunity to get new customers. Truly one of the worst businesses I’ve ever experienced when it comes to customer service. Cannot recommend, and will never be back. In retrospect, it makes sense that they still had product while all other businesses were sold out - the customer service makes this place a definite last resort.
