It is "abundant". Kudos to the gardeners who have turned an otherwise unremarkable patch/snippet of land beside a very busy road into a piece of green heaven. More herbs please !

Alexandra's Bounty Community Garden has no afiliation to Alexandra Park. This is a residential lot purchased by Lakeridge Health as they land bank property on the west side of Simcoe Street North between Hospital Court and the entrance to Alexandra Park. Rundle House, a brick constructed Heritage Building, was located on this lot and qualified for designation and protection. Lakeridge promised to protect and use Rundle House for a cancer lodge. After obtaining zoning permission, and getting an offer for "free" renovation of the inside, Lakeridge refused to build the cancer lodge. After a period of deliberate neglect, Lakeridge applied and received a demolition permit. This is another example of a significant Heritage Building that the city failed to protect! The vacant lot is what remains. Hoping the public will forget, Lakeridge now allows a community group to use the lot to grow vegetables.
