Busy little shop. Great customer service. You may need to wait to have your machine serviced as they are often very busy but it's well worth it for mechanics you can trust

Without a doubt this is one of the best if not thee best small motor repair shop in Orillia. Braden and Paul are absolutely wonderful to deal with. My story: Had a horrible Chinese-made Senix trimmer which starter had failed. It was purchased at Lowe's. Lowe's no longer sell or support the brand. I contacted a number of other small motor shops in town and they were all trying to sell me a new trimmer. Orillia Outdoor Equipment was the only ones that took the time to take a look at it. They called me about a week later and said that it was fixed. Dave gave me some tips so I didn't have the issue again. The cost for the repair was insanely cheap. If I needed to purchase a new trimmer or anything, it would be from here. These guys are good honest people.

Steer clear of this business. I took my cordless electric lawnmower to Orillia Outdoor Equipment after the manufacturer recommended them as the closest authorized location for warranty repair. They kept the mower for almost a year(!) before they determined they couldn't fix it. I had to contact the manufacturer on my own to find out what was going on after numerous calls and in person inquires were not addressed by the staff at Orillia Outdoor Equipment. When I picked it up the mower was full of water, they had been keeping it outside. I've never had such a terrible customer service experience, and would not recommend them to anyone.

Made me wait in line listening to useless chatter for 20 mins, just to tell me they won't even try to fix my item. Incredible waste of time

MAKE IT right

Stopped in this morning because I needed a new pull cord. They cut me off a piece of cord and i asked for brief instruction on how to do it. Well he just put it right on infront of me and showed me how to do it. Wonderful customer service, thank you very much. Will definitely be coming back.

My dad used to take all his small motor repairs here, I have also done the same years ago, recently went to order a carb kit for a friend's mower, long long story short after a month and a week of consistent excuses over a 15$ part, I went to the repair shop on James St, in 15 min left with what I needed, never, EVER!!!!!! Would I recommend this shop to anyone, at first meeting service and attitude was great.......until any sort of problem happens, I guess 15$ wasn't enough cash to worry about the issues. Needless to say, I'm a mechanic, this guy just lost a lot of potential buisness from everyone I know, over 15$. Don't expect any response if your wait time is weeks overdue, buisness ethics do not exist here.

So pleased with the client service. My ride on cutting deck would not engage. Called OOE and they said they would pick it up end of week. Said i would take about 3 weeks due to their overload of work (no doubt due to COVID shut down and now having to catch up). I totally understood. More than willing to wait although the prospects of cutting my large property with an electric hand lawn mower was grim. They picked it up first thing Thursday morning. Friday at 8 pm I was outside waiting for Pool guys and the owner arrived with my ride on!!! Less than 24 hours! I was so relieved as I was expecting to wait 3 weeks. He said it was the belts. He prioritized the simple stuff to uncluttered back log. Now that is managerial strategy in support of clients!!. Contrary, I had called another small motors repair place and was practically dismissed, “good luck with that “ told my new machine was made in China and junk and told “good luck with that” getting parts. NOT client service . Being rude, condescending and making fun of people’s equipment clearly is not client service. And clearly OOS had not issue with my tractor and fixed it n 24 hours and CAN get parts for my machine which has an MTD engine, 2 years old and always does an awesome job cutting my lawn. I was the one that chewed up a belt running over something, not the machine’s fault. So thanks OOE for your fast, client-service friendly and expert work.

Worst service from a local business I have ever dealt with. Brought in a Craftsman snow blower that was jumping belts and got 3 different reasons over a month from them why it was doing that. Got told they could put my 11.5 hp engine on a new body so told them to do it. Waited a year for a response if it was done before I finally had to call them and when I did the guy said they probably sold it cause of how long its been there yet they had never called me over that year. In the end I got a beat up old snow blower with what seems to be a 8 hp motor and a snowblower body they ended up needing to weld before I took it cause of the crack in it when I brought in a newer Craftsman 11.5 hp snowblower. Very dishonest and disorganized company.

I sold my cottage and inadvertently forgot to winterize my Homelite chainsaw for 5 years. After attempting to get it running myself I took it in to Orillia Outdoor Equipment. This saw and I have a long history together and to treat it the way I did was inexcusable. Orillia Outdoor Equipment did their magic and the saw and I are friends again. Thanks guys, you're the best!!

Worst small motor repair shop in Orillia. Don't ever order parts because they'll never call you back or worst they over charge . Ive given up on this place and now travel to Barrie for parts or try the other small motor shop in Orillia. Avoid this place .

Great service.

They won’t order any parts for my gas powered auger I went in and was told internet was not working so they couldn’t order parts so I left the part numbers and phone number they didn’t call back so I called next day for half a day till they answered and the guy said he didn’t have enough time yet and he would call me well it’s been 2 months no call pffft

Darryl Jones

I went here for a couple of snowblower belts today. They were in the process of packing away their winter stock, but they had one and ordered the other. Very friendly and efficiented and seemed to know their stuff very well. Their prices were fair as my research online found that the markup was minimal. I will definitely be back.
