I needed curb side pickup. We weren't sure of the items. Just had a description. The gentleman patiently helped us figure it out. There was some confusion from my end at pickup. Wife ordered, my phone ringer off; the usual. Two young ladies had me sorted out and after a short delay had exactly what I ordered. Thanks Home Hardware staff. You folks are Pro! Ken Smith

A huge shoutout to the hardworking crew at Home Hardware Orillia a for running an exceptional curbside pickup service when we were in lockdown. They offered speedy pickup with very limited wait times, in a safe manner that was still a pleasant customer shopping experience. If you have shopped there, you know first-hand how friendly the staff is and how they will go the extra mile to help their customers! The owners of this HHBC should be proud of the incredible store they run!

Way better service than the orange box store. Actual people not only serving you but also checking you out at the door. Give them as much business as I can as computer checkout machines do not pay taxes and do not get me lower prices for checking myself out.

Great staff and a small town feeling store! Did a few projects with materials from this store and always got great advice! The paint for the campers (most of it) and paddle were from this store. Also bought the cedar shims, which I used to decorate the Wild West Saloon camper, as cedar shingles from here. I purchased a few decorate accessories for the campers from this store as well!

The bolt holding my kitchen sink strainer together broke in half, accepted that I’d have to buy a new strainer because no one sells the bolts idenpendently. Employees found a bolt that fit it perfectly and saved me $80+. Great store with caring and dedicated staff. Thank you for your help!

This store does not honour the law for mask exemptions and are very aggressive about it and physical distancing, yet when checking out, they didn’t bother to wipe the debit machine before I used it after the last customer. I thought I would give them my business because they are Canadian but I guess I’ll have to go back to the American store Home Depot where I am respected for my disabilities!

Extremely friendly community orientated store. Hardware wise, they have pretty much everything and this store is also a design centre. So, they also do bath and kitchen design and installation. The best thing I like is that there is almost no having to chase down employees to ask questions. They seem to be everywhere, unlike so many other hardware type places.

Was greeted the second I got into the store by Jacki. Asked if I was looking anything in particular and with no hesitation told me what direction and isle to go to! Very impressed. Wish there was a bit bigger of a selection of bolts though. I made do what I can get but still satisfied!

Really helpful and friendly staff. I was surprised at the breadth of this store’s selection compared to others in the chain that I’ve been to. It is a cut above and way better than the big box hardware stores. I’d shop here anytime I am in Orillia compared to other stores that sell similar products.

Needed some hardboard for repairing a bookcase. Everything was curbside pickup due to Covid restrictions. Staff on initial phone call were super, yard guys ripped to size for me (minimal charge). Loading protocols for Covid were in place and followed. Overall good experience.

I ordered 2 tarps and rope after waiting 2 hours as they were needed for a job and my material was getting soaked. I told them or tried to as I went back down to Etobicoke to our shop and pick up what I needed. They charged my company credit card $279.00 for the material they did not get me and now I have been calling and emailing them to get my money back for their screw up and no response. Bad enough their service sucks now they keep my money for the bad service.......

I rarely post anything. However my husband just bought a dock there and couldn't stop raving about the salesman who helped him out with picking out a dock to delivery and everything in between. My husband said that he had never met a salesman who was so knowledgeable, who was so patient, and generous with tips. His name is Tom. Today, when so many encounters with customer care is frustrating, Tom made my husband happy. He said that it was refreshing to deal with a person like that! So thank you Tom!

We came to Home Hardware on a recommendation with directions from a sales clerk at Walmart (kudos to her) and was able to find it at your store. Very good service all around.

I am doing some DIY projects. Sanding down some wood furniture and staining. I’ve never done anything like that before and was looking for some assistance. A wonderful lady named Donna was so helpful she was very knowledgeable. She even went as far as demonstrating techniques. And not once did I feel rushed. I felt like a difficult customer with my lack of knowledge but she was so sweet about it. So pleased with the service just thought she needed a shout out!! You rock Donna!! ♥️

I bought a pump, but it doesn't work properly within the warranty period. When I asked for a new one or repair, LAND from the customer service department asked me to prove that the pump is broken. How can I prove that it is broken? Good pump why I took back to repair, and then asked me to find a professional hydraulic pumper prove s the pump is broken and white on receipt, I asked if the next time do you need me to prove that the person who write is a professional hydraulic, he said:Yes,that is so interesting,no matter what I ask, the answer is YES, I ask are you only say YES and he still answer YES, attitude is very bad, when I want to speak to the manager, He said he is the manager.Crazy experience,be careful

I had my lunch bag with me and didn't feel good leaving it on a counter where other people had left their stuff. I have to say this store is the best Home Hardware stores I have been in. They carry the usual suspects when it comes to tools and building supplies. They also have a nice stock of home decor items, and the garden area is absolutely amazing. Locally owned and operated is a welcome addition as well.

We bought our bathroom furniture and accessories here through Bill the Kitchen and Bath Designer at this location for our basement bathroom Reno. Top notch service from beginning to end. He does what he says and follows through to make sure his customer is satisfied. If this stores belief is customer centric, then Bill would be proof of this as well as the delivery people that were timely, pleasant and careful with product during the delivery. Thank you for making a stressful process one less thing to be concerned about.

These folks have done it right during the pandemic response. Call in orders & email orders or online. I haven’t waited for more than three hours to hear back that my order is ready for pick up. Usually get a call for payment about an hour after the order is placed. Service is excellent with only a few mix ups on orders, but I can’t fault them. I order a thingamabob and they send me a thingamajiggy, because I don’t know what my thingamabob is called in shop speak. It happens. But overall, they’ve earned my business and respect. That other big box store should take notes.

I went in for something to unclog my toilet and almost purchased a heavy duty avid acid that apparently would have melted my drain pipes and destroyed my toilet. They dont always answer the phone for orders but web orders and emails are processed within a few hours. It has to be exhausting to shop for everyone, just saying that the orillia homehardware is doing a great job

Bill Hern at Orillia Home Hardware has been helping us with our new kitchen. We have done a couple of kitchens on our own before. We have put in IKEA kitchens in the past, but IKEA's product availablity is the pits this year. We were worried that the cost of a non- IKEA kitchen would be 4X the price, but were VERY pleasantly surprised with the cost of a kitchen from Home Hardware (Home Hardwares price worked out to be 1.3x the price of IKEA, but we will have no cabinets to put together (that would have taken DAYS of work) and we have Bill taking care of all the design, ordering, planning, small details like filler size, crown mouldings etc.) Working with Bill Hern is such a treat. Bill is so knowledgable and makes all of our decisions effortless. He came out to the house, measured our room and quickly was able to tell us what size table would work in the space, allowances needed between the wall and island etc. He gave us great confidence that everything would fit . He works tirelessly, often sending updates of plans and revisions well into the evening. We would highly recommend working with Bill Hern and Orillia Home Hardware, if you are in the market for a new kitchen. The great kitchen cabinets and countertops all come from Canadian manufacturers too - got to love that!

Most of the staff was friendly and courteous - however, one staff nember named Jason was unfriendly, rude, and unprofessional. He repeatedly left while I tried to ask a few basic questions about a product I was purchasing, forcing me to follow him and call out after him to get answers. He repeatedly told me that I couldn't return the item, even though I didn't ask. The item in questions was less than $50, and this seemed both petty and accusatory, as I hadn't said anything about returning it. I was made to feel like I was bothering him, even though he was stationed at a help desk and I took less than 5 minutes of his time. This made my experience negative overall - I would have rated this 1 star, except that the other staff members were friendly and professional.
