We chose Jay Decaire (Dependable Property Maintenance) to look after our waterfront property near 8 mile point Oro Medonte and it has been a great choice. Jay is enthusiastic, responsive, fair priced and dependable. He is also just a very pleasant individual. Even though we know he is a very busy guy he takes a real interest in our property and we appreciate that. I know I can call him anytime with questions or concerns and he responds right away. We have used Dependable property maintenance for lawn care. We have a sizable lawn that looks beautiful and many have said that Jay really knows how to care for it. We have also used Jay for snow removal. The snow is cleared in a timely fashion and done to our specifications. Once again we appreciate his interest in getting the job done right! We asked Jay to quote us for 3 jobs last fall. We usually head to Florida in the fall, and winter. First, we asked that he trim our cedar hedges. He did a great job, and at a fair price. Second ..... In the previous year, we came home from Florida on Nov 1st to bare trees, and a yard full of leaves buried under a foot of snow. We didn't want to come home to that again this past fall, so we hired Jay to take care of the fallen leaves before we returned from Florida, again around Nov 1st. He did a good job clearing the leaves a few days prior to our return from Florida. The unfortunate part for us, was that the trees still had a lot of leaves on them, and there was a lot on the ground in just a couple of days. Jay Emailed us requesting payment .... I was disappointed that he didn't FIRST offer to do the rest of leaves at the appropriate time, seeings that the trees still had a lot of leaves. When I expressed this concern, he immediately offered to come back and do the rest of the leaves, but I decided to do the rest myself. As far as leaves go, Jay does great work. Our third quote was to clear snow....we were gone for about 8 weeks. I expect that, as with his other work, he would have done a good job, but the price was too high by comparison. Overall, Jay does great work ... much appreciated.

NOT dependable at all... First, it took about 9 phone calls to even reach this company. He did not show that he cares about potential customers. When I had this company take care of my house for snow removal (it was late in the season, so it was slim pickings), many times it was left unplowed. The first couple times, I gave them the benefit of the doubt that they are busy and it will be eventually attended to. After several times unattended to, I respectively asked why my property had not been taken care of. I immediately got a phone call with the owner yelling at me, that I was questioning his work. He continued to yell and use profanity, telling me that no one has ever questioned his work, that he is the best company around, he drives very expensive trucks and that I’m just complaining. Owner went even as far to insult me personally. I politely asked for a refund and to take my business elsewhere. Owner agreed on the refund but went on calling me a “punk” and mocking me that I was “hiding” from him when I would not answer his repetitive phone calls. I am never someone to complain or write a bad review, but this was very inconvenient and would not want anyone else to undergo a similar situation with this company. To show my credibility, I am a emergency responder and I take professionalism very seriously. I would not recommend this company.
