If you're used to co-op cafés, you'll like this place. If not, you might be a little confused (I think that explains a lot of the negative reviews). Petit menu, and definitely not where you want to be on a sweltering day but it's very pretty inside.

Me master. master.

Really good espresso and awesome vegan options. Their cookies are off the hook and the cafe serves a greater community purpose in support as a non-profit organization helping immigrant women

Multi function /use space, popular with new comers, women's groups, employment services. There's a decent coffee shop with vegan/vegetarian snacks available.

The food was undoubtedly tasty, however we ordered through foodora and were extremely disappointed in the portion sizes given the price. For just under $40 we each got a wrap with a "side" of salad and one order of chili. The chili was $9 and was less than 16oz, and despite it being just after noon they called to inform us they were out of hummus and wouldn't be getting more for the day (??) and gave us little help in terms of finding a substitute for our wraps. Overall a very lackluster experience leaving me still wanting more from the east end for good vegetarian restaurants.

Riverdale Hub is an Immigrant Women's Centre which offers Employment and Career options and Counselling. There is also an awesome Cafe and Art Gallery.

Amazing building. Restaurant is incredible, amazing vegetarian meals. The rooms to work on are great. It's nice to have a green building like this in the city.

Good food, off vibes from the being behind the counter. Small menu (three options for Buddha bowls). No fans. Odd layout. Not a very welcoming environment: no signs as to how or where to order. No table service. There are a plethora of beautiful lanterns hanging from the ceiling, yet no fans to keep you cool while eating. Horrible air circulation; I was sitting in my own sweat the whole time. Warm water is served! I should have ordered to-go, as the environment is subpar for working (they have a coworking area with wifi) and eating. It is hot and muggy on a warm day. The only part that was interesting and unique was the self-serve borrow-bookshelf.

The avocado kimchi toast is to die for! It has so much flavour that you'll remember and crave it for days. The kimchi is made in house which they sell on its own too. The staff are very friendly and it's absolutely great to support a local initiative that provides space for others to cook and make a living.

This was a great place to relax, do some work, listen to live music and the best part was the people!

We held our wedding ceremony at Riverdale Hub, but sadly, we can't recommend it because of our experience with its management. The venue and staff were great, but the Hub's executive director tried to keep 20% of our deposit over a tablecloth. She claimed we stained it while using it for our signing table. (We didn't.) Following an extensive email thread disputing the stain, she settled for charging a $12 fee for the tablecloth's use. (You can't make this stuff up.) After looking at the Hub's Glassdoor and Yelp profiles, it's clear that management issues are a persistent problem that has also alienated its employees.

Definitely not worth the trip. Poor excuse for vegan food. Hardly any protein, portion sizes are not worth the price for a box of lettuce. Was so looking forward to more vegan options in the east end.

I like the calming atmosphere and really enjoyed their breakfast dish with mock eggs (best seasoning I've tasted) although I must say it only comes with one slice of toast (standard should be two slices), and is lacking an extra side option to complete the meal as you are left not nearly full... perhaps a breakfast potatos or wedges.. something! I would love to get it again but I know I would need to get another dish which is kind of a bother.

Open mic night! Super friendly environment! The decor was very cozy, it almost feels like someone lives there. The coffee was great and I absolutely loved the time I spent there. Staff and customers were some of the friendliest people there. A sense of community I hadn't seen anywhere else, yet. I had gone in during one of their open mic nights and it was great seeing people's performances and having such a positive atmosphere from the crowd. Nathaniel plays a sweet guitar and ukelele. Having Bryan and Andrew play was a real treat for the crowd. Don't forget, the place has three floors and also hosts an art gallery on the third! There were beautiful pieces on display, I wish I remembered to take pictures. I'm looking very forward to seeing this place again, and maybe having a turn with the mic.
