Bought a brand new 140 cc remington push mower 3 days ago. I put it together as per the instructions and I can not get it to start. I have tried reaching out to customer service but i haven't had any luck it seems I'm out $200. I guess I get what I pay for.

Very poor customer service, waited 3 weeks for a part that I ordered without email and no tracking information. Spoke to 3 different customer service reps with incoherent shipping information. One rep told me to speak to who I spoke to before because they do not have my order info. with an order number from me. Finally spoke to a fourth customer service rep. who was knowledgeable about my order. This rep. gave me a Canada Post tracking number and received information from Canada Post that my order had incorrect address information and my order was sent back to sender MTD and not shipped to me. Terrible customer service. The gong show continues.

Bought MTD Pro 3-stage snowblower last year. At the first snowfall of this year, the auger cable and spring were broken. The snowblower is very heavy and bulky so I called MTD service center to try to ask for replacement parts as the machine itself is still under warranty. Th service rep on the phone unreasonably insisted that I have to take the snowblower to the authorized repair shop in order to receive the replacement parts. Update: MTD sent replacement parts for free. I appreciate their quick response.

I bought a yard machines lawn mower last May. Worked great for the first two months, before it was no longer working. I brought the lawn mower to one of their partners and it took 7 months before they were able to get a response from MTD products in regards to the warranty. After 7 months of waiting, the warranty CSR said it was the user’s fault for the default, even though instructions were rightfully followed. There goes 300$ out the window for a defective machine, and no honor of the warranty. Not recommended for future purchases, even though I have a few tools under the mtd brand portfolio. Signed, A very unhappy customer Edit: I wrote an email 5 days ago, but have yet to receive an answer

Bought a MTD yardworks 2 in 1 mower at the end of May 2020. On 3rd use, it died. I took it to the authorized repair facility who informed me that warranty coverage was denied. Its obvious I let it run out of Oil. Once again, bought the end of May 2020 and 3rd use. The oil was full and as pristine as when I first filled it. Second one I have owned in 3 years (first one lasted 1 season) its a garbage product and as for a company that does not stand behind their garbage product, well, you will never see a dime of my money again and I will advise anyone and everyone to avoid your products and your service.

Have owned an MTD snowblower for over 30 years and it still runs great. Easy to get service and parts for it when needed.

Bought the 159cc Remington 3 in 1 mower.. Very poor quality control. Will return for something else not made by MTD. This is Not the quality I've came to expect from MTD. This was to replace an MTD mower that's about 15 years old. I also own a 31cc lawn trimmer that's been heavily used for about 11 years and other than the pull cord not recoiling all the way it runs great. Come to think of it I bought an MTD chain saw a few years back that ended up breaking after the first few uses. And go figure parts weren't available. MTD and or Remington I'm done with you. This is unacceptable. See the spring in the attached pictures that's supposed to hold the bagger on. Not to mention the scratches all over the paint. Very disappointed....

Never answers phone. Baought a Columbia 3 stage 327cc snowblower for Christmas of 2020, chews thro shear pins faster than gas with just straight snow (no ice or solids, not even a tiny ice cube). Burns thro oil too with choke off when under any load. Neighbors thought it was on fire.

No one answers emails, and the couple of people, Patricia and Les, who actually accomplished things no longer work for the company. Reid has gone a year not replying to emails, Patty his one-up is also allergic to responding to customer concerns. What a gongshow. Can't suggest people avoid MTD enough. Pathetic support.

I bought a Cub Cadet snowblower from Lowes last winter, it is a 2x24". It worked well for last winter but when I got it ready for this winter it did not run well and was surging. I took it to a Cub Cadet dealer here in Barrie and it has now been 7 weeks that I have been waiting for it to be repaired. I have been told the part needed to fix the machine is still another 5 weeks away. I should have my snowblower by the last week of March. I bought this brand because it is part of MTD a Canadian Company. But as with everything else I guess the part is coming from China. Why advertise as a Canadian Company when it is not made here. A Very Unhappy Customer, with a sore back from shovelling. Ian Lawless

WOW! Incredible Service. Spoke to Reid in their service department and he was a great help getting my snowblower issues resolved. I wish there was a way to give this company more stars. I really appreciated his honesty and we all know not every product leaving the factory is going to be perfect but when there is an issue, they stood behind their name. Thanks Reid.
