We just had a new irrigation system installed. Dealing with Brandon Happaney was a real pleasure. I knew nothing about the different systems and he took the time to explain the differences to me. On installation day he showed up early and didn’t leave until the work was done! They took the time to train me on the app and we walked through the system so he also could do his 2nd run of quality control. I was thoroughly impressed! System (Toro) coverage and pressure was amazing. They cleaned up nightly (2 day job) and after all installed you’d never know they were even here. We had our new sod installed a week later and turned it on and there was some pressure issue in one zone because of debris in the line but Brandon came back right away to rectify. Very happy with the product, response time and the service! Overall a fantastic experience. I highly recommend HydroGreen for your home irrigation system.

I contracted Hydrogreen to lay sod in the fall in order to sell my house. They came and tore up the grass and then didn’t finish, and thought it was acceptable to leave the lawn with no sod. Snow was forecasted and I messaged to get it done and was assured it would be. No one showed up on the day it was to be completed nor was I notified that it wasn’t completed, and came home from a business trip to find my front lawn bare without a word. Now I had no front lawn and putting my house up for sale in the spring. I expressed my frustration because now I had no front lawn and would be a mess as the snow melted. My neighbours were in the same position as they had also contracted them, and actually shovelled off the snow to lay the sod themselves! I had paid 2/3 and they agreed to finish the sod as soon as possible in the spring with no additional cost to me. The agreement was clear and I made sure I repeated it so we were on the same page. However, now that it is spring I was told that I now need to pay, which was not was agreed to. I will never work with them again or recommend them.

If there was a 1.3 out of 5 option, that's what I would give them. Friendly & all, good prices, but good luck on the follow through. Fighting to get the guy who runs it to call you back or show up to do a simple head move was the final straw. I used these guys for about 3 years, but once Andrew sold his share to the other owner, things went down hill fast. Last year I needed some heads moved, but it just never happened. Even the money I send via e-post was ignored so long, the bank returned it to me. My girlfriend needed a new front entrance... about $5,000 and they never even bothered to contact her back with a quote once they FINALLY came by to see what needed to be done. Again, great prices COMPARED to the other people out there for sprinkler systems, but the follow through is sadly missing. They get the 2nd star only because of their prices...

We have used Hydro Green for 12 years after we moved in to a home that has a full in-ground sprinkler system. From my observations Hydro Green has evolved from two owners to one (of the original owners) and we have been very satisfied and pleased with their quality work and service all the way along. Like any business there have been a couple moments where we issues arose and Brandon responded very well to our concerns. In addition to that, he has assisted me with my (self-caused) needs for assistance/repairs or late winterizing requests and he has also worked with my desire to be budget conscious and perform some of the work myself. A local small business, based right here in Barrie and an owner who strives to provide quality work. We are happy to be Hydro Green customers for years to come. Well done!

Wow, what an amazing company this young man is developing. Professional from start to finish. The quote presentation was very professional and very informative. By the end of the presetation i knew exactly which parts and pieces were going to be utilized in my project. My wife and I are very impressed with the multi-zone irrigation system HydroGreen's energetic crew installed at my home. All zones are watered perfectly and the system doesn't turn on when it rains, saving me time (not having to move my old sprinkler around manually for hours) and money as the effiency of the system doesn't waste a drop by over watering. They provided a top rate tutorial regarding the use of the controller and we're always available to answer all our questions. Their prompt and respectful crew were a pleasure to have at my home. Andre, I feel you pain. I had this company install my sprinkler system last fall and it seemed to work with no flaws. But come this year during the spring I had a lush green lawn and as they say you will find out your weakness of your irrigation system when summer hits. The company owner guarantee that he would “Make it rain” on my yard. I water every other day as per his recommendations and it is the worst grass I have ever had. I told him how bad my grass is and he has never came to look at the yard but his remarks were “You need to water more”, I do not want to water for 9 hours every other day. I have also dead grass spots and trying to get the company back to adjust or replace heads is like pulling teeth. There are sprinkler heads that were installed way below ground level or not working at all and they will not adjust/replace them. The company rarely/never returns emails unless you quote a regulation. They never installed a back flow valve that is required by law and their response was that we will get to it when we have time. I just wonder how many irrigation systems this company has installed without this valve. If I had to due it all over again I would never have used this company. I have talked to other people and they have all said the same thing that the owner is very hard to get a hold of and rarely returns emails. The customer service after market is non-existent.
