It was my first trip to Bustan Urban Gardening and I was pleasantly surprised. The owners greeted me when I entered, answered all my questions and sent me packing with a trunk full of goodies for my gardening project. Everything was so easy, they provided me with a cart to take my items to the car. Minimal heavy lifting was required. Bustan has some unique products worth checking out for both soil and hydroponic gardeners. A final thought. Bustan Urban Gardening is a relatively small company located in a huge building. When visiting I recomend you drive around the building and park close to the door marked 152. It will be unlocked. Bustan is at the end of the hall. Are you a grower? Vegetables, fruit, other? These guys got what you want. Full selection of hard to find and top quality organic products and lots of hardware too. Overlook the industrial location....it's worth the visit.

They are located inside a storage building so it is a little confusing to get to the unit. The sales lady who tended to me was very helpful and friendly. They seem to have a limited variety of products (limited multiple brand names of same product) but the selection they have are quality. The sales lady was very patient and knowledgeable when I asked her questions after questions.. Very satisfied experience with them and will most likely visit again

Our experience with Nurit and Harley at Bustan exceeded our expectations for customer service. After purchasing an entire indoor growing system, we unfortunately had as issue with the tent and it got damaged. Considering this occurred during the holiday season and coupled with their move to the new Sunrise location, these folks were amazing, polite, empathetic, and understanding. They were in contact with us as to what was happening with the manufacturer throughout this and we a very happy with the results. We highly recommend Harley and Nurit at Bustan to anyone and will always be seeking them out for products, services, and advice with me indoor gardening.

If you're looking for niche gardening products (indoor and outdoor), this is the place for you. Get everything you need to make your own super soil, including work castings, oyster shells, crab meal, blood meal, kelp meal and much more. They also stock a large variety of plastic and fabric plant pots. The best part..... They are significantly cheaper than buying the same products on amazon. Check them out, you won't regret it. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and always willing to help. One thing to note before you visit. It looks like a warehouse. Enter through door D. It's further down the parking lot. Once you get in the building, walk down the hallway and it will be directly in front of you. There's a sign on the door :) Happy gardening!!

Bustan is the best gardening store in the GTA. They have a great selection of seed starting equipment, all the organic fertilizers and soils you need, and quality indoor grow equipment. The advice I received when selecting the right products was phenomenal. Now that I discovered Bustan, this is my preferred destination for gardening supplies.

I have been purchasing and using their T5HO fixtures & bulbs for over a decade and have now recently upgraded to the T5HO LED bulbs they offer. This gardening and hydroponic store is fairly close to home so it's very convenient, but I'd go there even if I had to take a longer drive. They have a variety of gardening and hydroponic related supplies as well as supplies for Orchid enthusiasts. I've recently become a tropical plant collector so I've been running there for bags of Perlite, Coir, plant saucers, Worm castings, and Orchid net pots but I've noticed they have full light set ups and grow tents, fans and more. There prices are great and the couple that run the business are very pleasant to talk to. I have a feeling they'd special order an item for you if they didn't have it. All round great place.

I really like this place. Been here a few times and prices seem relatively competitive compared to other stores. The lady that I spoke with was very helpful and even offered suggestions to help me save money by not buying items I really didn't need. Seemed kind of strange that this business is found in a warehouse complex but there is lots of free parking. I showed up again this week (Fri-March-16th) and even received much more help than on my previous visits. If you are new to gardening (as I am), I think you would be hard pressed to find any place as helpful as this place. I will be returning to get more goods as my garden continues to grow.

I am so happy that I found Bustan in Toronto! I do alot of indoor gardening in the winter and spring, with salad vegetables and herbs, garden starts, microgreens, and more. The customer service is great! They are very knowledgeable about the products. They are very helpful and patient with people like me who have so many questions! On one occasion I experienced a malfunction of a product and I received help to troubleshoot the problem, and best ideas for a fix and replacement. They carry many organic fertilizers, which is important to me. I have only ordered by phone from them but hope one day to visit them in person.

I placed an order online but found that it was not shipped because the billing address did not match the delivery address. When I phoned up I got a long run around where I was told repeatedly that my card had failed a security check. When I said I would call the card company to verify the failure I was told that it was actually a LOCAL SECURITY clearance procedure. It has not connection with the credit card company. I suppose people must give very detailed banking information to this company as they are not just happy with money. They want to know about YOU. I don't know why they want this information but I sure don't like it. Should you?

I don't understand some of these negative reviews. I have been going to this store for like 5 years now and they have always been friendly and courteous; especially the review suggesting they thought they might get robbed; that's absurd, if the owners really thought they might get robbed I am sure the customer gave them good reason to be worried. Hell, I am getting on in my years and with my big scraggly beard even the homeless no longer bother to ask me for change when they see me come down the street, and these people treat me well regardless. I can only assume something I learned from a business course I took many years ago; 10% of your customers will give you the most trouble and/or take up 90% of your time. I guess those 10% found a way by writing these negative reviews, to vent out their lifes frustrations that have nothing to do with this store. I bought a set of lighting yesterday, that because of my own fault in not measuring the exact width of my shelves the lights were going to go in, did not fit. This particular product also had manufacturer specific packaging seal on them; which means I already opened the box and the these lights cannot be repackaged and sold as new again ( unless of course the whole thing is shipped backed to the supplier which is across the border in the states). Really, they took it back without hesitation. I even offered to pay a "restocking" fee ( because now they are "stuck" with a product they can't sell as new now )but they insisted it was ok and let it be as it is. My heart goes out to these people ( its a two person owned/operated ), they don't make alot of money running this store because it is such a small business. These people love to find and offer products that are of excellent quality and lean towards that which is natural as much as possible, like organics. Their whole persona and store has a very organic feel to it as well. So, again about these negative reviews, and to be fair to the people who wrote them and not to deny their experience...sometimes even good people are going to rub the wrong way with each other...not everyone gets along; But I just had to write a review today as a way to give back to the helpfulness this store gave me.

A little hard to find this placed tucked all the way in the back of the complex but once you find it , it's like a little growers paradise. They have pretty much everything you need to grow big or small. Very knowledgeable and friendly staff, I believe they're independently owned and operated which has a great mom and pop feel and a great sense of community. Willing to deal too if you buy alot of stuff. I picked up the whole organics line and I'm extremely excited to try it all out.
