We worked with Eric on a few different projects: levelling the patio stones at the front of our house, creating planter boxes on the sides of the walkway, and attaching a privacy lattice to one section of our fence. The jobs were well done and his pricing was competitive, compared to other quotes. Also, can't beat his positive attitude and sense of humour. Highly recommend Eric and Spruced up.

Eric and his team are incredibly professional and kind. They transformed my backyard when I needed it the most, so my children could play and roll in the grass. They cleaned up construction debris and leveled out the soil. Built a planter and found a very clever and inventive solution for my knotweed invasion. Eric was even very patient and kind with my 3 year old who was very interested in watching everything he did and wanted to help. His kindness is impressive. Eric was a pleasure to work with and did a great job at executing our vision. There were some delays over the summer due to the lumber shortage, but once the lumber was available, Eric and his team were working everyday. We now have a big deck and a lovely, fenced-in backyard. We're looking forward to spending a lot of time in our new space!

My wife and I were going on a trip. We picked the colours for our living room and gave the front door key and 2 paint chips to Eric of Spruced Up Property Services. When we returned one week later not only were the four walls, ceiling and molding beautifully painted but the several paintings were hung back on the walls and all the furniture placed exactly as we had left it. The only difference in the room we had left was that the walls and ceiling were freshly painted in the colours of our choice. We never had to lift a finger except to hand over the keys and write a cheque. On top of that he watered my wife's plants when we were away. In 57 years of marriage we've never had an easier, less disruptive job of painting in our home.

Would not recommend for a larger job. Contracted Eric and his team for a larger job (~20K) last year to install parking pad at the pack, redo pathway at the front back and side of the house and landscapping work. Was advised the job should be completed in 1 month. Took over 6 months to complete! And concrete estimate went up 4x the original quote. This delayed other part of the renovation and caused major headaches. Concrete subcontractor insisted to be paid in cash and refused to put anything in writting. Would say they would come on certain days and would go weeks without hearing from the concrete guy. Constant struggle with scheduling and timing. 3-4 months after work was finally done the concrete parking pad started crumbling (and has only gotten worse) and multiple quality issues were noticed with pathway. Contacted Eric to advise of the issues. Has been 7 months of back and forth, they are asking me to pay an additional $1,500 for work they never completed before adressing deficiencies. They might be good for smaller jobs but do yourself a favour and hire a more reputable company that will stand behind their work for larger jobs.

Eric and his team planned out and planted my entire front garden, keeping me in the loop all the way through. They were quick, professional, knowledgeable and they don't treat you like just another work order. Eric has followed up with me each spring, offering pointers and letting me know what my garden might benefit from. He also replaced a weigela bush a year later that wasn't doing well, no questions asked. Eric really cares about the work he does...even long after he has done it.
