I love this nursery! But I do not like the prices! They have increased prices and decreased the quality. Recently bought some snap dragons and half of them died for some strange reason. Twice bought mine bark shrubs, and they both had powdery mildew. Had to throw them out. Arrive early in the morning, or you will be out of luck for parking.

I've been going here since I was a kid with my parents and it's always a gem in North Van. Today we got a little olive tree and like tree in perfect condition. They also had gorgeous tropicals and outdoor trees we had to restrain ourselves .... Will probably always go back!

I was at Maple leaf Garden center today doing some puppy socialization. Working with a little doodlebug that is a little bit nervous and the staff at the maple leaf Garden center are more than accommodating and friendly. They even have yummy cookies behind the till. Beyond being my most favorite place on Earth it is also a great place to bring your dogs.

Very helpful staff, great source for all your plant needs. Plant prices are very fair. Some hardware, such as clippers and such are priced high. But all seems to be very high quality as well. The selection on shallow players is limited, but this is a specific type for bonsai growing.

Such a well-stocked shop. Plants all looked exceptionally healthy. Tons of variety in pots- check downstairs! The grey clay pots were particularly pretty with a soft marbling throughout. Minor gripe: shop was selling single hoya kerrii leaves potted. Single hearts simple sit in soil- and they definitely don't grow into the gorgeous trailing vine so many people adore. I asked an employee if they carried the actual plant that would grow- but he said no. More signage should be near the display to avoid misleading customers about the product.

They have everything you could ever need for growing valuable crops indoors and outdoors. Really knowledgeable staff, they always have what I need in stock or they order it for me, extremely kind, they have awesome organic soil amendments, great selection of soil options, high quality tools, and great competitive pricing. DON'T BUY ON AMAZON! Maple Leaf has everything Amazon has and it's cheaper than all Amazon indoor/outdoor gardening supplies. I saved $90 going to Maple Leaf instead of Amazon. Support local business!

I love this garden store. Excellent selection of healthy flowers, shrubs, herbs and more! Their staff is extremely helpful and always friendly. I've called a few times with questions about my garden and they are always willing to spend time to explain and teach. The store itself is very organized and easy to navigate with a great (and beautiful) layout. I find some nurseries can be overwhelming and confusing- this one is not. I highly recommend the West Van location of Maple Leaf Garden Centre!

Loved the selection and quality of shrubs and bedding plants. Managed to buy a couple carts worth for weekend gardening project with family -- but the lack of place to store your cart as you continue shopping should be addressed by management. It was awkward and prevented us from indulging with a third cart. The sign asking customers not to leave their cart near the cashier stations while you continue adding more to your order, is not a solution. (And I won't repeat what the cashier suggested - because it was ridiculous).

Plenty of choice, reasonable price, friendly staff, I purchased many plants from them, they gave me all the right advises what I need to purchase, plant lives in shade or sun how much water you need to give etc. It is great place to educate yourself and do shopping same time and enjoy. They have large variety of selections and they have also great garden ornaments you can purchase as a present and very good value.

Excellent plant shop. They have a variety of indoor and outdoor plants. Lots of products such as soil and fertilizers. Great selection of pots (clay, ceramic, and plastic). The indoor plants are great and the variety is fantastic. The outdoor plants selection is also great. The staff are very knowledgeable and helpful. They have multiple cash registers so I've never had to wait in line for a long time. There is parking on the site and almost always there is a few stalls available.

I love this garden centre, not only is it a local business with only two locations in vancouver but it has an amazing selection of plants, giftware and pots/planters. I see a lot of people commenting on the prices being too high but I would like to point out you are paying for knowledge and care of plants. Not like Garden works or stores like Walmart that can sell their plants for super cheap because they have over 100 locations so they can get a better deal. SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL BUSINESSES!

Quite frankly i have always been impressed with the overall service and quality of plants at your centre, even though your prices are much higher than other places but im ok with that to support a local business. Such completely disappointing service/experience. Went here to buy some plants to add to my garden. Waited patiently to ask a staff member for help to find additional plants to purchase. The staff member made it so obvious that she was not interested in helping me that I bought the few items I managed to find myself instead of getting many more plants like I had wanted. was trying to support the local business. better off going to Costco or Superstore which will be where I get my garden stuff from now on

Anytime the sun comes out, I head to Maple leaf Garden Center, my happy place. They are always bringing in new plants and have extremely knowledgeable staff who will spend the time with you to help you choose the right plant and let you know how to care for it. The product is excellent, my plants do really well. As a bonus, sometimes they give you free plants when they are end of season. I once got a whole flat of pansy's!

Had a horrible experience this afternoon with a guy working there. He was manoeuvring a huge heavy duty utility cart with full load of pots when I was browsing, and the cart struck and fell me down on the wet ground. He simply said, "I did not see you", never said "sorry". I've got back home right away because my pants got soaked. They must have safety regulations for employees particularly when they are open with costumers. Too bad I need find other garden shops.

High prices and not enough staff. I bought some indoor plants and pots that totalled over $100.00. I needed potting soil too but all they had were 5 litre bags and we're out of the 15 litre bags. I asked that they give me 3 5 litre bags for the price of a 15 litre and the manager said "no" because they'd lose about $9.00. They were willing to lose more than 10 times that in order to save $9.00.
