The customer service in this store is terrible. My boyfriend (who goes into the store weekly to look around and purchase all of his games) bought a 1 year subscription of Play Station Plus as a gift. When handing him the receipt, the cashier ripped it right where the code was. Being the nice guy he is, he said its ok I will just tape it. Turns out, when you tape a thermal receipt all of the print disappears, so come Christmas day we could no longer read the code. He went into the store and they turned him away saying there was nothing that could be done. So, I went in because as someone who worked retail for several years that response to a loyal customer seemed like nonsense to me. This time, despite being incredibly argumentative and rude, they magically found a solution saying they could email their customer service to retrieve the code but it might may take a few days. I questioned why that option was not presented to him in the first place and why they didn't take down his information to contact him with a solution - of course they were stumped by the question. The next day we decided to call EB Games customer service to see if we could get some actual help, and sure enough the woman on the phone was able to retrieve to code for us in a matter of two minutes. He had other games on his list he was going to buy that day, but instead we picked them up at best buy and won't be going back to EB Games anytime soon. Hands down one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had, with absolutely no attempt to resolve the situation until I went in and insisted.
