We are always very happy with food. Very consistent with portions and taste. Portions are huge and reminds me of childhood. The chicken balls need to be kept closed with elastic bursting full. The vegetables are abundant and fresh/crunchy. The Soo Guy chicken is very big portion. Quick to make the food. Dinner leftovers for couple days. Huge value that we appreciate.

I just moved to North Bay from Toronto and I was craving some home-cooked Chinese dishes. It was daunting to move so far away from home, therefore, I was ecstatic to find a locally owned small business. The egg rolls, Szechuan beef, and shrimp fried rice were delicious and the portions were huge. The customer service was amazing and the workers were super kind - I felt welcomed as soon as I stepped foot into the restaurant. I will be bringing all my loved ones when they come visit. I 100% recommend 太好吃了！

I went to Canton Express last week and it was an amazing experience. I tried the shrimp fried rice, the egg rolls and, the honey garlic spare ribs. The food was SOOO good and the service was spectacular. 10/10 recommend

I am not being hyperbolic when I say the taste, quality, freshness, and flavour are absolutley excpetional. Never have a tasted food with such bold flavors, but satisfies your every craving. The sweet and sour chicken balls are crispy, but when you sink your teeth into and break the outer crispy shell, you're welcomed by a juicy, tender piece of chicken that is blissful. While most fried rice are uninspired and dry, Canton's express's rice is flavorful and packs attacks your tastebuds. Instead of feeling heavy and greasy, all the dishes are made fresh and make you feel just are fresh and invigorated. I say this all without even mentioning the prices. Everything is incredbily affordable and cheap. It's honestly a wonder how they are able to offer these competitive and low prices without going out of business, especially given the portions and the amount of jumbo shrimps you get in dishes like the shrimp lo mein and the singapore noodles. If you're ever in North Bay, I highly recommend you making a detour/trip just to experience Canton Express. Highly recommend, 10/10!!

Called for a delivery they were very pleasant delivery was fast, nicely packaged. Due to current times I find servings are usually not enough to feed children. Too my surprise I recieved more then expected. Will be finishing this for days. Price was worth it

Shanghai noodles were so badly overcooked it was not edible. The food was cooked with a sweetener - you can taste the sugar in dishes like beef with veg, chow mein and mixed veg.

Hair in the food. Messed up the order. Tried to call and fix the issue and the lady snapped at us on the phone and barely gave an opportunity for us to speak. Do not risk the waste of $$ on this place.

I ordere 77 dollars worth of food and they would not allow debit or credit card purchase and did not even offer free steamed rice. Horrible business sense and customer service. The teenager on the phone was obnoxious.

Moving to Canada in 2011 truly was a harrowing experience food wise, coming from Singapore I was used to amazing food from many different cultures. Indian, Malaysian, Caucasian and of course Chinese food. However, living in the GTA I was happy to find out that there was a wide selection of Asian foods to choose from and it really helped with my feelings of homesickness. When I was visiting a friend in North Bay, I thought about the dread of having to go through a fast of delicious Asian food during my trip. I heavily doubted the diversity of the food options in North Bay, and was my stomach was ready for a severe lack of flavor for the rest of the trip... That was until my friend brought me to this small takeout place called Canton Express. When you first walk in I did not expect the most, until I smelt the aromatic and savoury cooking coming from the kitchen. I felt like Ego from Ratatouille when he was served ratatouille cooked by Remy, it truly brought me back to my childhood and reminded me of the hawker centre's from Singapore. I was recommended the chicken fried rice with a side chicken balls and when I was tasting it I was simply clobbered by the perfect blend of tastes in my mouth. The only problem I had with those dishes was the fact that there was a finite amount of it on my plate. The food was remarkable, and I can't wait to return to North Bay to have another plate of Canton Express!

I went to Canton Express last week and the food was amazing! I was visiting from Toronto and I noticed that the quality of food in this restaurant is as good as some of the best Chinese restaurants in all of the GTA. Everything had a fair price and the customer service was excellent. My wife and I shared some Canton Special Fried rice, shrimp with mushroom, and deep fried chicken wings. Everything was exceptional and this will definitely be our go-to Chinese restaurant in North Bay. The portion sizes are also excellent as my my wife and I had a bit leftover, even though we absolutely loved the food. We gave some of it to our nephew and he absolutely loved it as well. I recall him saying "this food is straight bussin, respectfully" which I believe is the young kids' colloquial way of saying that this food is amazing. Can't go wrong with this restaurant!

The food is disgusting! the meat has no flavor at all, tastes boiled in water! They do give give you alright sized portions, but its just more to go to waste, cause the food is terrible. There was a long black hair in my veggies, VERY DISAPPOINTING!! Also I was served by two children, a boy and a girl, both under 10 years old, at 9:30pm! When i called back to complain, a man answered the phone yelled at me in poor english and called me Stupid, then handed the phone off to a woman that spoke a little bit better, but she just yelled at me then hung up. DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE!

Not to pleased with the food. Simple enough dishes...chicken balls and chicken fried rice. Tasted horrible. I couldn't finished a bite of my rice. It was like they used old rancid oil to cook the rice in.Chicken balls were hard like rubber. First and last time here. What happened to the Green Bamboo?

Having grown up as an immigrant child in Canada, I am constantly searching for things that will remind me of home - in people, places, and most importantly, food. I have tasted many restaurants in the 12 years I've lived in Canada, but none have truly been the authentic experience I've searched for all these years. That is, until I visited Canton Express at North Bay. This is the most authentic, delicious, and downright mouthwatering Chinese cuisine I have ever tasted. Nothing I write in this review will be enough to describe what I experienced in this humble restaurant. 10/10, must try before you die.
