*Great Selection, Poor staff* More of a shop if you don't need help, but go somewhere (anywhere) else if you need any help. ------------- First time I tried coming here, I arrived right at close. Was hoping they would let me run in and grab what I needed (1 thing). They did not. Poor customer experience, clearly didn't care but it is what it is. A few days later I came back during the day well within hours, and I have to say the experience isn't much better. As I walked in, I wasn't so much greeted, as barked at to sanitize. I hadn't even reached the sanitizer yet, so calm down Karen. I ended up finding a couple things I needed, but needed help. Apparently they don't have staff here as in 10 minutes not one bit of help was found. One employee brushed me off saying they were busy. The ONLY plus I will give this place is variety. Their plants all look really healthy, vibrant, and there's a good selection. I would only recommend this place if you know what you need and don't require any help, because there's none to be found. I'd rather shop somewhere where the staff are pleasant and helpful than somewhere where they just want your money and that's it. RE: Sounds like Karen there needs a hug. This reply just shows how little they really care as this seems to be a joke to them. Case in point.

What a wonderland of plants and pots! I went in for custom planters with very little idea what would work. Chris was great and the planters look wonderful in their new home. It's hard not to bring home a new houseplant and beautiful pot with each visit.

This is 2nd time it has happened to me with the plant i got from Country Basket. So I purchased Schefflera (umbrella) plant and within few days i saw brown spots on the leaves. I called the store and they said because its tropical plant we don't offer any exchanges or warranty but i could try changing soil and giving fertilizer. Now at 2 months i see that plant drops sticky stuffs on ground all the time and i googled it and found out there is scales on the plant. I called the store and she said to throw that plant as scale are very hard to remove. I spent $60 for something and i have to throw it now. That is ridiculous!! They sold me a plant which already had scale on it. Do not buy plants from here. Customer service is also not that great and they dont stand behind what they sell it. I have bought plants from other green house and they are not that expensive and they are doing fine. No issue at all. Worst place to spend your hard earn money!!

We left the choice up to Teena for our corporate event and couldn't have been more pleased. Our speaker's podium looked welcoming and professional. As you can see form the photos our young musicians (Tahnee, Cameron Lee & Isabella Milano) were as delighted with their bouquets as we were with their talent. The podium spray went home with Maria Del Carmen Suescun Pozas to reward her for her efforts in making the Commemorative celebration of the Niagara Falls ABC Peace Conference of 1914 held Sept. 14, 2017 at Niagara Military Museum such a success. Nothing says thank you more than flowers and we thank Teena for making such a beautiful choice for us.

Very ho-hum selection. Make sure you call before going. They advertise certain landscaping products on their website, even advertise those products at their cash counter. Staff has no clue of what they supposedly carry, and just because it is enthusiastic ly advertised on their website doesn't mean they actually carry it. Cashier had never heard of the item I was looking for, and told me she has never seen it in their store the 2 years she has been working there. Total disappointment. Large Bark Nuggets. They advertise it, don't sell it, cashier has never heard of it, and told me that they do not carry it. However upon my insistence, she checked the posted list that they keep at the cash desk, and she realized that they do in fact claim to sell it, although she did say she has never actually seen it in stock. I checked and double checked the stacks outside, but did not see it anywhere.

Went to the greenhouse on our way back from a mini Niagara Falls vacation and was quite disappointed. We walked in the store to have 3 staff stare at us, as they were chatting to each other with no greetings or acknowledgement we walked in. As we looked around, one staff was unboxing Easter lilies giving us little room to walk around her. She did not bother asking if we needed help finding anything. Our shopping experience ended when I found a visibly rotting cactus that was on display for sale...

The staff is great and they have a terrific selection of items and I have been a repeat customer since moving into the area about 5 years ago. My last experience was not so great. We purchased a bush on June 9th and after three weeks it appeared to be dying. We took a photo and brought it in and were instructed to bring it in for an exchange (we didn't as for a refund), the receipt also indicates a "Hassle free guarantee" I dug it up, brought it in expecting to easily exchange my bush and instead, the manager began to point out that this leaf and that leaf were not dead. I was not patient that day, but I was also not rude, and simply stated in a matter of fact tone, Are you going to exchange the bush or not, if not we will not be coming back for future purchases. And her reply was "you don't have to be threatening and we will only do this once. So if it dies your out of luck. Not overly impressed

I purchased an apple tree here last year. When cashing out I was told that they have a warranty on their trees so that if I does I can come back next year to replace it free of charge. Sounded like a good deal, especially when paying 100 dollars for a tree. The tree died towards the end of the season so I planned in the spring to dig it up (when I could be certain it was dead after winter) and take them up on that warranty. They had my info, knew I purchased a Honey crisp apple tree on file but told me they don't warranty fruit trees. That may be their policy and the cashier may have been mistaken in what they told me but an employee of this garden center gave me incorrect information and the manager refused to acknowledge this. I was told by the store manager that the owner would call me back when I insisted that they honour the warranty told to me the previous year. Two weeks later and no phone call. Impossible to reach anyone on the phone and can't leave a voice mail due to constantly full mailbox. You have lost my business and I will discourage others I know from shopping here. Such poor business practice gives me no incentive to ever return here when there are plenty of other garden centers who treat their customers well.

Absolutely amazing. We ordered our flowers through country basket and they exceeded our expectations. They caught my vision perfectly, and the colours in my bouquet, as well as my bridesmaids bouquets, boutineers, corsages and centre pieces were beautiful. We also rented a few props like a wine keg barrel for our cards and rustic folding doors as a pretty photo back drop. We also rented an arbour which stood behind us as we got married. Would definitely recommend to anyone.

This garden center has lost a customer... I will never go to this garden center... I just seen a video of a store employee calling someone a terriorist because they weren't wearing a mask... The same employee who has a husband that tested positive for covid... That woman should be in isolation herself... Any business that allows employees to do this should be ashamed of themselves... If there's people with medical conditions, handicap, etc and they are doing this, they have lost my business present and future... I will not condone or support tyrannical business practices at any cost.... This video I have watched is disturbing...

Not very happy with the service. Was expecting something better after reading the reviews, but disappointed. Had been to the store but not taken very good care of my concerns, was left to tend by myself though asked for help. When asked to choose a good young plant for me, was sadly given one which wasn't very healthy. It started having brown leaves in a couple of days after bringing in. Dont think they exchange too. Was so unhappy that didn't want to talk to them on the phone too.Had driven quite a distance to this shop expecting excellent service, seemed a racist approach ????...sadly.

I attended the bee and honey harvesting seminar today. Caleb shared his vast knowledge of bees and their life and habits with us. We took away a wealth of information to ponder and an interest in becoming bee keepers. We were able to observe a hive and watch Caleb harvest honey two different ways. After tasting different honeys, we left with a jar of honey produced from the country basket bees, along with a honeycomb. Caleb’s presentation made for an interesting and entertaining few hours. I would highly recommend attending if they have it again. Don’t pass up a chance to find out how fascinating bees are. A big thanks to Country Basket and Caleb for spreading much needed awareness about the plight and importance of bees. Thoroughly enjoyable!

I have booked Country Basket as my wedding florist and after meeting with Teena at their location to go over everything, I was extremely impressed with her knowledge and I knew at that moment I could trust her and her team to make beautiful arrangements for my wedding in September of 2020! My maid of honour called country basket on a Saturday back in September 2019, and they actually told us to come right in to their location that day to have a consult! I was so grateful that they were willing to get us in with no notice at all, and I felt so comfortable with them, I made sure I booked right away! Good place for flowers and herbs. Staff was decent. Prices were okay. Not overtly expensive. Although some of the items could have had a better sign for it. Like the potting soil sign. Took me 2 people until 1 walked me there to find it. But my herbs were planted well and their flowers were all nice. Same with the herbs.
