A wonderful and knowledgeable learning experience. Kate is absolutely wonderful. She really knows her plants. I went in looking for really 1 plant. To add some green and colour to my place. I walked out with 5 plants and a wealth of knowledge about each one. The whole experience was phenomenal. I highly recommend anyone who doesn't think they can keep a plant alive. I have purchased many common and rare plants here. Many of the Rares had to be rehabbed due to not being properly rooted. They were not acclimated and put into soil too early. The business owner has a pattern of being verbally abusive to customers and members of her team. As a former team member who walked away because of these verbal attacks I would highly recommend staying far away. Please support Blooms in Sackville, NB. Most of Rare Plant Cares common plants are purchased there, separated and sold for a higher price for a smaller plant. Everything is fine as long as you are spending money but as soon as you have a reasonable concern the owner gets defensive and verbally abusive.

I am writing a review today as a voice for countless others. Many people have had very negative experiences with Rare Plant Care (RPC) over the months since its inception. Some in such impactful ways, they wish to be seperated and anonymous when it comes to RPC for fear of the backlash and harassment they have received and could further receive from RPC. One in particular is a previous customer of RPC who had been intentionally misgendered and called an It. I have seen a screenshot of one conversation and talked with the individual affected myself. As well, a past employee of RPC separately shared of this first hand experince, witnessing the owner misgendering customers and calling someone an It on multiple occasions, and refusing to correct their hurtful ways. As these were mostly verbal conversations, there is the employee's story and RPCs story, and one of those aligns with the lived experiences of past customers. From the fall of 2020 to as little as two ish months ago, folks have received problem plants that were not acclimated properly. This is confirmed by multiple buyers in New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, and a couple of folks throughout Canada. In the past, if a customer made an attempt to seek an understanding about why roots would be rotting 2 days after a local pickup, blame was immediately placed on the customer. Some customers were made to feel so inferior they nearly got rid of their entire plant collections. As well as importing them, acclimating them, finding buyers, organizing the plants, and distributing them out. However, throughout the multiple months process of getting to the point of opening a store front, Rare Plant Care has showcased behaviors of harassing customers, harassing employees, and not quite doing due diligence when caring for plants. You are only as strong as the foundation upon which you are built. Some folks have had great experiences and their plants all turned out just fine. Whether they were rare or common. However, that was very much not the case for all customers. Please bare in mind that everyone is capable of growth and learning from past behavior. Let us hope that Rare Plant Care sees the voices of the many they have impacted and work hard to prevent these situations from happening again. This review is not intended to be an attack. Rather as helpful information from the online connected plant community to perspective buyers and to serve as a voice for those who are no longer able to speak up about the mistreatment they received. ** it is a shame that you would rather degrade my writing than read through the countless reviews yourself. These are not rewritten words from a bully of yours. I have read and conversed with dozens of people who have had very negative experiences and those experiences are documented on the internet. When you take the time to read everyone's reviews, you come to see that the negativity people have experinced and the poor plants they have received, you come to learn this isnt orchestrated by a bully, but rather real lived experinced that those at RPC would rather bully others into silence. As evidenced by getting mad at me for sharing the experiences of others who can no longer speak for themselves. I spoke directly with victims and no bully is trying to tear RPC to the ground. You could always offer proof that the things you said and did were not accurate, but I even watched you myself break fb group rules time again, so I have some experience. Acknowledge how you've impacted people and learn not to do it again, the community would rather see you grow. But not when you hurt and deny others exp.

Every plant I've ever gotten was 100% healthy, pest free and free of disease. All plants are obviously fully acclimated, therefore, I almost immediately always see new growth! She will even go out of her way to try to order any plants you request so ordering from her is a great option to fill up your wishlist! I highly recommend buying any of your rares from here because nobody wants to spend big money on a plant that isn't healthy! She has high quality shipping available with guarantees and great prices on rares! By far my favorite place to shop for plants! Highly recommended for all, even for those who don't want to binge on rares because she carries many common plants as well!

When I first messaged the owner about a plant I was interested in, she was more than happy to help. I asked if I could send her a deposit to hold the plant for me, but she said she wasn’t taking deposits at that time, she wanted to “work on the numbers” first to figure out what was fair. We chatted lightly for a couple of days, and she continually reminded me without prompting that she still wasn’t accepting deposits. Then all of a sudden she messaged me to say the plants were sold out. I was confused, and asked her what had happened. She gave me a bunch of excuses, none of which lined up with the last, and then blocked me from her page. So, I left her a review from a friends account. I wanted people to know my experience because it was very confusing and seemed less than straightforward. Also she had told me her acclimating process and it was by no means how you acclimate a plant, which is definitely something I think inexperienced buyers should know when spending several hundreds of dollars on a plant that is being called acclimated. After leaving this HONEST and factual review, complete with screenshots, I was attacked by her and her friends. Insulted and berated. When I finally thought it was over, a couple weeks later with no further thought or interaction from me, they started in on me again. Full tilt just shaming me for being alive. Since then there have been many more in the same position I was in. Do not support this mean human. She does not deserve your hard earned money. Not to mention she’s far more overpriced than any other shop or individual I’ve seen EVER.

Kate and her hubby are makers of plant wishlist dreams come true! Almost every plant I wanted and asked about she had, plus so so many more. I have a hard time finding plants in my area of NS, but that's no issue for RarePlant Care! They packed my babies up expertly and shipped on the Maritime bus. Everything came in excellent condition. This is my second purchase, and when I make more room..lol...ill be back for more. I call her my Plant Angel ????.
