Wel really like Normans for their extra stuff that they do, like Santa Clause at christmas. They also have the best quality live goods in Midland. The store is a little battered up inside but thats okay.

The normans host an amazing Christmas party every year for their preferred customers and I’m telling you it’s worth it. I believe you have to spend $250 Canadian dollars at once to get the invite and it is magical.

Low quality products and flowers for 15 to 20% more money. Staff is unhelpful. Buy an extra 10% more flowers for the ones that die. Wont be returning.

Went there in 2019 late summer/early fall to purchase grass seed based on a referral. Was sold their brand as being as good as any and was shown with handwritten 4 grass types. Took their work and used it along with help from a landscaper. Here is the current result which now must be redone. Look at the back of the bag (which I should have done originally), several addl grasses listed incl annual ryegrass and fescue. Not cheap $30, was asked if I did things right. Anyways, pricey and not sure I trust whats handwritten on any of those bulk grass seeds now either.

I went in to ask about returning a failed tree and was bombarded with accusatory questioning about its watering. The woman I dealt with was described by employees, as "sort of like a manager". Her approach to me was belittling, bullying and just plain rude. I am a professional gardener of 20 years, and have never had ANY plant, shrub or tree, fail due to my watering practices. Most recently, at the same planting location, 2 25 foot maple trees, 8 hydrangeas, 5 yews and 1 Redbud tree are thriving. These were NOT purchased at Normans. The only recourse is a store credit and because of this horrid experience, really do not want to shop at this store!
