I came in on Saturday, 20 minutes to closing, and asked to re-pot a plant (which I bought in Superstore and planted myself) because it was struggling. They did FREE of charge, taught me how to care for it better, and it looks absolutely amazing now! People have told me that Parkway is expensive, but I don't mind paying for their support, care, and expertise! Amazing every time!

Well that was an experience! What a jam packed garden centre that is! Everything was well laid out, merchandised, labeled, etc. The signage was really clear and big to be able to find the area I wanted to be shopping in. First time here and I enjoyed my time here. Safety protocols in place, felt safe! It is a huge space, be sure to wear your walking shoes!

The new paved parking lot is amazing!!! Great variety on everything including trees! Staff are very knowledgeable and helpful! Their warranties are great and they make it easy if you do have a warranty issue. The little area for kids to draw helps us get the shopping done while the kids are occupied! I bought a $245 tree 26th July. They had advertised a 30% off for trees at the road Aug 2 when I drove by coming home from holidays. I went in Aug 4th asking for the sale price towards another tree we wanted for our home and they said no. I explained very nicely to them most businesses that have a sale on within a week or 2 of purchasing an item will honor the sale price by refund or towards another purchase if you come in. They still said no. Now I have used this Nursery for 2 years and have completed a lot of landscaping projects at my house during this time. I will NEVER return to this business again. I was understandably upset and asked my husband to put the plant back he had picked out and explained we would not be buying another tree there. As I was leaving the store two cashieres were standing together and heard me telling my husband that they would not honor the 30% off for our tree, the one girl said in a very very sarcastically sweet voice, "have a reeaally niiice daaayy," I spun around quickly and seen them (giggling together at my frustration.) I looked at them and said, "you think this is funny?" "Oh no" they said, "we have to be nice to our customers". I said, "I will not be returning to this store if that is how you treat people." There are way too many Nurseries in London to shop at. I do not need to be treated in that manner. Even if I was wrong for requesting they honor the 30% sale when I had only bought it a week before the sale...those cashiers were rude and disrespectful and I am glad I caught them dissing me. Now I know where Not to shop.

Even with the restrictions it was easy access in and no line ups at the register. At Heemans earlier where the line up was easily linger then a football field and the it was an hour and half plus to get in. Flower and shrub selections were a bit picked through but still plenty of selection. I WAS once again VERY disappointed in there vegetable and herb area. Plant description and instructions were not easy to find and you really needed to know the type of certain vegetables and herbs you wanted. Most were single plants and expensive. Once again walked away with very little vegetable plant selection and had to go else where. But looking for flowers to plant you will do fine. Quick check out process which help bring this to close to a 4 rating.

Selection: 5, Organization: 5, Staff: 5+++, Price: 3 I love going to this place to browse the big selection they have; even during the winter they have a lot to chose from. The staff is super friendly and is always willing to help you pick the right plants/items. I have to say that I do find the plants to be a bit overpriced. I've compared it with some places downtown and Parkway's prices were higher which I found very surprising - I would've thought they'd have more accessible prices. Pot prices are usually better than other places (like Canadian Tire).

Clean, Spacious & Organized are 3 very comforting words to any Gardener, especially when on a mission. Surprisingly those 3 same words are rarely associated with Nurseries or Greenhouses. Parkway Garden Center is the exception, their recently renovated and expanded facilities are indeed very clean with ample room to move about and everything flows organically. Great for gardeners of all ages ????

This nursery is getting better year by year. It used to be hard to find pollinator plants, but now there is a section. It used to be impossible to find esoteric larval hosts, now, a section. They are improving yearly! Outside, they have bushes and shrubs (just wish we could pre-order them!). Maybe someday they will carry northern prickly ash, hop trees, or paw paw. In the meantime, they are the best London ON can do, so 4 stars. :) And they keep their perennials in pretty easy-to-find rows. Good improvements! :)

We buy all of our plants here. This is the newest addition to our plant family. The staff are very knowledgeable and friendly. They give you advice on how to keep your plants happy and healthy. They go the extra mile and replant your plants into pots for free and advise you on what size pots are best for your plants and when to change the pot. They have tons of fertilizers, soils, and treatments for a variety of plants. I can't wait to go back!

I love this place, stumbled upon it last year and I was absolutely amazed. This place is huge and has a wide variety of every kind of plant for whatever situation you may need. The prices are reasonable and if anything is "expensive" it's worth it considering everything is grown in house and not imported from oversees. I am a google local guide and have posted several pictures of the plants and such inside. Also this year there is food trucks xa different one every sat/Sunday for the month of may! Last year they had a live band, but I'm not sure they'll be doing that this year. If you're a green thumb or a newbie this is the place to go! If it's cold out don't worry the Tempeture inside the greenhouse feels almost tropical. :)

Last year I purchased all my garden flowers from Parkway but the three geraniums didn’t make it I was told it was because of the weather and disease this year I’ve purchased three more geraniums and they refuse to flower I’ve never had this problem with geraniums over the past 20 years however all the other plants that I purchased are doing quite well. Just an update on the Geraniums I was complaining about ,the buds no longer dry up and fall off .the geranium pots are producing beautiful flowers at this time therefore I am very satisfied

The soil I bought was full of bugs, it killed half my plant collection within weeks. None of the plants I picked up lived past a few weeks, I’ve never had issues like this from anywhere else. When they attempted to “fix” the issue they accused me of lying, saying they haven’t carried that soil in over a year. I have a archived Instagram story from September 2020 with the soil in the photo. No response to their own dishonesty!

They had a very good selection of trees and shrubs, and all the items we were looking for plus info on planting and caring for the products. Service was very friendly and sales staff had excellent subject knowledge and answered all of our questions very well. Covid-19 safety was in place and applied by the staff. I plan to return in the spring for more annuals, perennials, shrubs, and another tree. In general, it's a very nice nursary. Highly recommended.

My mom has purchased 2 indoor plants from this garden centre - both had bugs. The first one, a bird of paradise for $60, had spider mites that then moved onto other plants in the home and destroyed them. The second, more recent plant, caused small furry worm/caterpillars to show up in her house. When my mom went to take the second plant back, the garden centre staff did not believe her and refused to take the plant. My mom is the kindest, gentlest women in the world - but the staff member was so rude my mom finally said 'I don't care what you do with this plant, but I'm not bringing it back into my home' to which the woman huffed and finally allowed my mom to go pick some items to exchange for the value. She should not have had to fight for the right to return a plant that's causing bugs to show up in her home. To insinuate that she's wrong, it's not the plant, the bugs must be coming from somewhere else. Where else? Do you live in her home with her? The first plant she bought from you had bugs. End of story. It's not that much of a leap to now see these worms/catepillars immediately after bringing home another plant from YOUR garden centre and put it together. I don't know where this garden centre sources their plants - but I would well examine the plants you purchase from here. I have had friends who found spider mites on their plants they purchased from Home Depot - a garden centre charging these prices should be ensuring the quality of their product and providing a more respectable approach to customer service. Do better.

Beautiful garden centre with amazing selection of plants, but the staff is very rude, especially the daughter of the owner. Their store mask policy violates the Ontario Human Rights Code and does not allow for any exemptions for health or disability reasons, which is illegal. I do not recommend shopping here.

I went online and researched the rules so that I would be prepared when I got there. I wore my mask but noticed that there were other couples in there not wearing masks ( My husband stayed in the car as the covid policy states one person not couples) I was disappointed with the selection and pricing . I asked for assistance loading some soil and was left to do it on my own. Overall...a terrible experience.

Fast and easy checkouts but be warned, they don't accept cash for some silly reason. I honestly thought cash was still legal tender here in Canada. If it's because of the VID the WHO says transmission from surfaces is slim to none. All in all, a great garden center.

We went last Tuesday for several perennial plants and tomato plants. When arriving we asked were a certain perennial plant and was pointed to the direction and told alphabetical. Sounds easy. Once there we couldn't find it so asked a staff and they said if not there they must be out. A customer overheard and pointed us to a different row and there they were. We then asked another staff were the tomato plants and again gave directions. Once again what was listed we couldn't find so again asked a staff and she said they are in baskets and we said we didn't want a basket been she left. Again another customer helped and we helped them. We moved to London 3yrs ago and I'm use to a nursery helping you and actually leading you and fulfilling your list. Nothing of the sort here. My favourite garden centre. All the plants I have bought there (indoor or outdoor plants) are always very healthy and do very well when we bring them home. The selection is great and the staff is knowledgeable. They've had great advice for the plants to choose for various parts of our backyard. They also have quite a few fun activities for kids on days when the kids are not in school; my girls love going. I go even if I don't intend to buy anything, because the greenhouses are such a beautiful place. But leaving without at least one plant is always very hard to do... Highly recommended!

The garden center is in full bloom. I went to buy succulents and was not disappointed. There was a wide variety, larger than most places I've been. Prices ranged from $4 and higher. Plants were very healthy and not picked over. Recommended visit if you want variety at a good price. If you need help identify a plant or need to know how to care for it I usually get help from the ladies at the cash register. They are very knowledgeable and friendly.

My go-to garden center! I love the selection of both indoor and outdoor plants. Every plant I've bought has flourished and is in great condition. The staff are rather knowledgeable, but not always the most polite. It's also bothersome they do not allow cash transactions at this time. I understand its to "reduce the spread", but it is infringing on civil rights. And there are no studies to suggest cash being a significant spreader. In fact, Canadian banks have requested businesses to continue accepting cash. The cashier's sanitize the cash area between shoppers, so it's rather silly to not accept cash. I likely will not return until cash is accepted again. Plants are a hobby that I spend my extra cash on.

I purchased 5 tropicals from Parkway Gardens in July 2016. I had also purchased ceramic pots for each of them for a total of $567.00. Since purchasing them I have had to throw out two of them and the remaining 3 have been separated from the other plants in my home. They are all infested with bugs and almost dead. I called today and was told " sorry " we can't do anything. I was not expecting a refund, nor was I expecting a replacement of all the plants, however, I would have expected something to be done. Parkway has been really good over the years, I have always had a good experience there, but I am reluctant to go back because of this past experience and hope that others are treated differently.............. Thank you for the response. I did use pesticides and botanical soap in the first 30 days of purchase. I have many other tropicals at home and none of them have this issue? It's really too bad. Every spring I am there buying perennials, you guys do our wooden baskets for us, and I'm guessing I spend roughly $1000 each year. This is the first time I've ever had an issue and your not willing to budge. There are many other garden centres that will be happy to take my money and I truly will miss you guys!!!! Good luck!

What a great place. Years ago I worked here because I liked the place, but it's changed - all good changes, except I'm not finding the herb selection that used to be found. Plus the staff is super helpful and knowledgeable. Large bags of Perlite and Vermiculite can be bought. A broad range of gardening supplies beyond the plethora of plants, it's clean, open and "has a good feel" very different from a big box store garden center - yet stocked as thoroughly - year round. It's the other side of town from me, and worth the trip.

The selection was very good, the quality was very good. But the prices were incredibly expensive. I would normally pay $3.99 for a 4" potted annual but now its $5.99. I'm not saying its Parkway's fault, but given garden centers are the only thing currently allowed to be open under the Covid lock down orders. I feel consumers are being taken advantage of.

This could have been a negative review, but Parkway went the extra mile and turned a disappointing experience into a good one. I bought a large self-watering planter and, after filling it with soil, plants, and water, discovered it had a leak at the bottom so that it was not self-watering, but rather deck-watering. At first, Parkway suggested I return it for a refund or exchange. I explained that it was a three foot high container full of water and plants, and I couldn’t see how I was going to do that. They referred it to Carl, from their landscaping department. Somehow he found the time to come with a replacement planter and move my plants into it. Even brought soil to replace that lost in the process. I doubt there are many businesses that provide that level of excellence in customer service. So thank you to Parkway, and to Carl, for finding the time at this busy time of year to go the extra mile and stand behind their product.
