Lighthouse built the patio in my back yard and I love it! They worked quickly, were polite, and the end result is gorgeous. Not only is the space beautiful, it has function built in. We have limited space in our yard, so storage was an important part of our design. Everything has it's place in our outdoor space. Lighthouse also designed and built our front garden. The plants are beautiful all summer, and the sod they laid in our front yard is greener than any other yard in our townhouse complex. Would recommend!

*Buyer Beware* I am going to try to keep this review as short and sweet as I can. I highly advise AGAINST hiring this company. If you do, please read every sentence and analyze every piece of paper they hand you throughout the project. If they can hide something in there, that they think may go over your head, they will. We hired them to complete a $30,000 backyard patio, with walkout. Not only did they change the original drawing (that we had agreed to) 3 times during construction, they omitted a huge 22x6 foot concrete pad (as per contract agreement) that was to go under our walkout. Thankfully, I was home during construction and realized the concrete pad was not being done and confronted them. They did not adjust our bill for unilaterally deciding to not complete the contract as agreed upon. Had I not been home during construction, we would have never known it was not done. At the end of the project we withheld 10% as they did not meet contract obligations and tried to come to a fair agreement. We had a quote done by another local company for a concrete pad of that size, which came in around $4000 with labour and material. I could get into much more, but I’m trying to keep the review on the shorter side. We came to the conclusion, our 10% hold back was more than fair. The owner of Lighthouse Landscape, ended up suing us. At this point, we hired a lawyer and we countersued. We went to a settlement conference, to try to settle before court, and even the judge agreed with us, based on all of the evidence. The owner, refused to settle. We had a strong case and were ready to go to court. The owner of Lighthouse Landscape, ended up settling a couple days before court. We have some loose steps and patio stones around the pool, that we are entitled to have fixed under warranty. Once again, the owner holds no responsibility and refuses to fix the safety issues. This company does not take responsibility for their missteps. My husband and I are both business owners, in the service industry. I do NOT take posting reviews lightly, as I know how much a review can harm a small business. But, this review is 100% necessary. Please be extremely cautious when thinking about hiring this company. I’m sure the owner will have some kind of “professional” looking comment back to this review, however, I would not waste my time putting something like this on the internet, if it was not true.

Amazing company! They just completed our stone patio and walkway, designed and landscaped our front and backyard, and redesigned our front step area. Also, installed irrigation and drainage system. Excellent craftsmanship. Very reliable and professional crew: Celine, Mike, and David were great. Always arrived when they said they would and they completed the job in a timely manner. Very easy to communicate with. We've worked with lots of other landscaping companies in the past but have never been happy. We will be using Lighthouse Landcaping and Rainforest Irrigation for everything in the future. Thanks for everything!

I would stay as far away from this company as possible. We retained them for the planning and creation of our landscaping - a terrible error. The results did not accord with the plan in several ways and we had to hire professionals to subsequently finish the job. Among the litany of errors: they erred in understanding the grading of our lot which caused the River rock they poured along the eastern side of our backyard to severely bow our fence and spill into the neighbour’s yard; they recommended swamp oaks without looking into the pH of our soil which quickly developed iron chlorosis; they created an area beneath an above grade window in our basement that matched a retaining wall but failed to place the same on any levelled gravel and the same is terribly crooked. Save yourself the headache and hire professionals who will do their research for your landscaping. Like one of the other reviewers, we refused to remit the holdback on account of their negligence.

I do not recommend this company to anyone. We had a terrible experience. They were sneaky, dishonest and not accountable when called out on negligence or unilateral changes with negative results. Also did not honor warranty obligations.

After coming to my home to re-edge and apply fresh mulch to our flower beds we after only a few weeks are finding a lot of areas that received little to no mulch. Contacting the project manager to voice my concerns has been unsuccessful and am still waiting. I recommended this company to family and friends in the past but after this last experience I don't think I'd recommend them anymore

We are very pleased with our recently completed patio and gazebo project. It was expertly designed and constructed by the professional Lighthouse staff. All of the work was completed on time and within budget. During construction people from the neighbourhood came by to check out the progress being made. Many of them told us they too had used Lighthouse for landscaping / pool projects and raved about the quality of the work done by Lighthouse. We highly recommend this company.
