Definitely one of the top 5 garden centers in Nova Scotia. Fantastic and diverse inventory, helpful and friendly staff. I drive an hour to go there and visit at least 3-4 times per season. I love their online inventory catalogue so that I can plan in advance.

Wow super friendly ladies that work here, helpful and knowledgeable. Quite an amazing selection of plants outside, while inside has an amazing variety of items for gardeners and hobbyists alike. All kinds of decorative stuff, ceramic pots, fancy doo dads for the garden. Definitely a place to go check out.

THE SHE SHED designs and builds bespoke gardens in Halifax. Oceanview Nursery is our preferred nursery. In addition to excellent service, they offer one of the best varieties of shrubs, perennials and trees in the province including abundant quantities for even the largest project. Oceanview's friendly, well trained and experienced staff ensure plants are well maintained while in the nursery.

Very bad experience. Look at the pictures (left are the tags and right - the dead perennials). Apparently perennials have just 30 days return policy. All other places they do have one year...(Home Depot, Kent...etc) but not Oceanview. I will never come back and never give good feedback - 2 X Sugar Buzz and Lavender and I was waiting 5 days for them to come back to me...and actually they didn't I had to call them back....to find out they can't do anything....Very disappointed

First time visiting and I can see why people will travel from the city to go here. There are a lot of options for basically any kind of tree, flower, shrub, plant, etc. It was hard to narrow down considering how many options there were. I was surprised when we first arrived at the main building- it's like a tourist nic nac paradise. So much to look at that I'm sure I missed lots. I didn't give 5 stars as I was looking for more gardening tools, so perhaps I missed the section, but I wanted to take a look for new items.

Staff are rude and unhelpful ! I asked if they had vermiculite ( a common gardening item ) and they couldn't be bothered to look. A previous time I stopped in for a couple of items and when I went to the check out , the lady asked me if that was "all" I was buying . I'm not impressed !

Oceanview is one of my favourite few "full service" nurseries! They have everything you could need from beautiful pots through shrubs & trees, wonderful variety of perrenials, garden furniture and 'whimsy', etc etc. Such a fun place to spend a few hours wandering & buying. Love the fact that they have their entire plant inventory online so, if I want something specific, I can look it up, order and pay for it online and be sure that when I drive to the nursery I won;t be disappointed as I know it will be waiting for me , leaving me time to browse and find other things that I didn;t realize I needed!!

This place is huge!! They have such a large variety and everything is well taken care of, no dead or nearly dead plants, lots of garden decor and very well laid out. I live almost an hour away and will definitely add this place as my go to for anything yard and garden related.

Today was the third time I've had a frustrating experience with this nursery. I'm done with them. I ordered online a New Dawn climbing rose. The website stated 2 were in stock. I paid for the rose with a credit card, and indicated I would pick it up. When, after a 30-minute drive - I arrived at Oceanview, I was told by a completely disinterested young woman that they had no New Dawn roses. "Just because it says on the website we have something doesn't mean we actually do." Really? "Then why did Oceanview take my money?" "It'll get charged-back to your credit card." So, an hour wasted driving to and from Oceanview for nothing. In the past, I twice bought roses from Oceanview that, when they bloomed, turned out to be a completely different color from that stated on the plant's tags. Oceanview's response was a shrug. There are other nurseries. I won't be back to Oceanview.
