A great selection of giftware and plants. We have always brought visitors here to visit. However, on our recent visit, the owner of the store didn't quite welcome our group and wanted us not spend too much time in the store. I couldn't believe that he wanted us to leave in about 20 minutes. It was such a discrimination. I would not bring visitors and potential customers here again. Such a disappointment! ????

This Nursery is awesome! They have a great gift/fashion section. They keep up with trends and their fashion would attract women of all ages. They also keep a selection of beautiful vegan handbags in stock and fashion jewelry. It easy to find a gift or a treat to your in the home decor section. There is a fun beautiful section to help you create your next fairy garden. And there is a good selection of garden decor as well. Beyond the retail section is a modest selection of indoor plants and cactus. They are a little pricy but great quality. The have an amazing selection of outdoor plants to help carry you through all seasons. And beyond what you see initially there are several greenhouses to walk thorough with even more options. Lots of indoor and outdoor pots to choose from and a good section of garden tools. There are classes that you can take. I’ve taken a class and it was super fun and the staff was very kind and helpful. This is one of my favourite nurseries in the lower-mainland. They have promotions and updates so it is worth signing up for their emails.

Absolutely horrible customer service. Although they have great selection and beautiful plants, their customer service / return policy is horrible. I was looking for an evergreen magnolia tree to put in my front yard and asked them for a "small" cultivar, stating specifically that I didn't want something bigger than 20 feet high by 10 feet wide. They recommended one called "claudia wannamaker". Their label even indicated that it would only get to 15-20 feet high by 10 feet wide. In hindsight, I should have Googled it while there, but trusted them. After spending over 400 bucks after tax, and paying to get it home, I found out that it was expected to grow to over 60 feet x 60 feet and that the stated size on the label was the 10-year size. Although they accepted the tree back (which I had to pay to bring back to the store), Cory, their staff member refused to refund my money and instead insisted on giving me a 'store credit' -- that too with restrictions on it, and an expiry date!! I ultimately had to dispute the charge with my credit card company just to get my money back. If you're looking for good selection and are willing to spend top dollar, feel free to shop here at your own risk. Otherwise, avoid this place at all costs!

They delivered a lovely, lush and full hanging basket to my mother for Mother's Day and took it right up the her 3rd floor apartment , out onto her balcony and hung it up for her! I've lived in the Clayton area for years and driven past Cedar Rim more times than I care to count, but went in for the first time today. Staff were very knowledgeable and the nursery is much larger than I expected, it's very deceptive from the road! It has a huge selection of plants, shrubs, trees, seeds etc, as well as garden and house decorations.

Fantastic nursery! It is way bigger than the one I am used to going on King George. I loved the new variety of plants and ornaments. They had a wide section of humming bird feeders, which I liked, as I was looking for one. The plants looked very happy and healthy there, with no signs of bugs.

Cedar Rim is our number one go to spot for all things gardening, plants, chemicals, tools, whatever.....! Prices are fair and selection is tremendous. The staff rock and are the major reason we come back again and again. We are free to wander and explore and when we need help there's always someone close to help. They are quick to call on specialists if they dont have the answer - this is soooo right and a big time saver and boost to their confident service. The grounds are a delightful park like well organized place to investigate and meditate on gardening. Yes there are other good gardening shops but their measure is Cedar Rim. If you graden visit Cedar Rim. Aside: Grandkids love the dinosaurs, wild animals, and giant chair.

I sent a long list of desired shrubs, grasses and trees to Cedar Rim before business hours this morning. Before noon I had a reply from Corey with availability, alternatives and pricing. This afternoon, in the rain, I visited the nursery. Even with the current Covid situation, Corey was more than happy and willing to show me around and help me pick out a few additional plants. This team went over and above to help me find what I was looking for, and have definitely earned all future business from my family. I would, and will, strongly recommend a visit to this nursery. Definitely worth the 45 min drive from Vancouver, especially given their huge selection!

Come here for trees and you won’t be disappointed. Super huge selections of everything, however, the annual flowers we were looking for were not well looked after so they are very tired and look bad... we ended up with nothing, and I was so surprised! I was almost sure we weren’t going to get out of a nursery without dropping a couple hundred bucks because we can never help ourselves! We actually ended up not buying anything, empty handed.

My wife and I are travelling through BC and stopped in to look around and buy a few plants. My service dog was in the truck with the air conditioning going and a bowl of water on the floor. (She’s a husky so she barks a lot when she sees people) About five minutes after we started to look around an employee approached us asking if the truck and dog were ours, then complained that it was too hot out for her in the truck and that she was barking. It’s absolutely understandable to worry and seek help for an animal in distress, but it’s important to figure out a situation before making assumptions. To the young guy that approached us... thank you for caring about my dog, but the way you approached the situation, lost business for your employer.

Phenomenal nursery and greenhouse. They have anything and everything you could ask for/want. From tropical trees to a hundred Japanese maple tree varieties. Indoor plants and outdoor plants. Very international plants and trees that will grow in BCs climate such as the Persian mulberry and the Korean permisson. Highly recommend it for plant lovers. Walked in there planning on spending nothing but walked out with $600 worth of plants, trees, and pots.

I'm going to break my review down into 5 points. One point per star. 1 - Selection - they had an incredible selection. Massive volume of product, in almost every stage of development. They get a ????. 2 - Price - this is where I'm docking them. I found their prices too high. Not for everything. But most of it in my opinion. 3 - Customer service - the staff were helpful. Some of them were new, so not all were knowledgeable. But I'll give them the star for friendliness. And because there was staff that did know, they just needed to be radioed. 4 - Quality - from what I could tell, everything was very healthy. I would not hesitate to buy from here. They get the star. 5 - Returns - no experience here, so I'll give it to them. All in all, despite the prices, they're a great nursery. Keep up the great work!

My review used to be 5 stars, but I'm lowering it to 2. I visited yesterday, and there was a manager (I think) working at the cash helping 2 people. She kept pulling her mask down to talk to people. It was appalling to see how little she cared for her coworkers health and safety that she was constantly doing that around them. I was waiting in line for maybe five minutes and she did it no less than four times.

Cedar Rim always has beautiful plants and trees, everything is displayed so you can fully see even the largest of trees to make sure the it's growing nicely. And they do. Staff is helpful and knowledgeable, if sometimes elusive. However things are much more expensive than their major competitor (today we were looking at 10 foot plus trees, smaller and $200 more than larger ones elsewhere), but they are more plentiful and more beautiful. Also some of the pots are too stuffed with plants so they won't grow properly. I do end up buying something because I am always tempted but we generally go elsewhere to buy the majority.

If you are looking for unique plants for your garden this is definitely the place to go! This garden center has the largest selection of plants in the area. They always carry unique flowers and shrubs that are not commonly available. It's hard to find a great great deal; so if you are looking for something cheap you'll need to go somewhere else but if you are looking for something special your sure to find it here.

Great selection of plants and gardening supplies. Customer service is always top notch due to the friendly workers and helpful information given. If you visit on a weekday, particularly earlier in the day, the store isn’t very busy and so they will take their time helping you as much as you need. Even at the busiest of times, the store doesn’t feel crowded as it is quite a sizeable layout. The signs towards the ceiling help you to navigate around. There is also a customer loyalty card you can easily sign up for.

Follow up to the Roses class I took. Nile was an excellent instructor. Clearly explained from the history of roses, to the various kinds, to planting and pruning and care instructions. Answered everyone’s questions with clear explanations. Excellent selection of gift ware, clothing, plant and garden supplies and of course an amazing selection of plants and trees. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. Love Cedar Rim!

BUYER BEWARE!! Yesterday I bought some plant pot bottoms for a few planters I have. When I got home they didnt look that good so I wanted to return them. I thought it smart to phone first as with covid might have to wait. The person that I talked to told me that even in non covid times anything that leaves Cedar Rim cannot be returned and cited some association regulator that states this. Also said there are signs stating this, Ive been many times and never noticed signs. So beware people, make 100% sure you buy exactly what you want and if it isnt your stuck with it. I will never shop there again

GREAT selection of plants (best selection of tropicals & subtropicals, bar none!). Prices seem bit high on some plants but reasonable on others. All the plants I've bought from CR are healthy & growing well. Not to complain, but pretty well every time I go there I leave happy with a new plant but thinking to myself "gee, those cashiers could be a little friendlier." One downside is their return policy is very strict for tropicals: no refunds/exchanges, period. As in, if you purchase a plant and bring it home only to find out it's not quite the right size/fit for where you wanted it, you can't bring it back, even if you purchased it earlier that day. I kinda understand this as most people don't know what they're doing and kill their indoor plants, but they could perhaps make this policy a little more reasonable (7 days or something like that).

First time going to Cedar Rim after a bunch of our friends were raving about it and I have to say, I guess it was talked up a lot more because my exceptions of it were definitely not met. They do have a great selection, and I will give them that, but they are a lot pricier than our usual go-to nursery. Not sure if we'd go back again.
