What i like most about this place is it's interior design. Food is very good too (you have to try bone marrow beef tartar)

Jonathan Moore

One of my all time favorite places to dine in the Rockies. The view speak for themselves and the staff is always so friendly and professional.

T

The food was decent/good but there were a lot of issues. For one, all the "entrées" they serve come with absolutely nothing but the protein. So you'll end up paying $47 for an Arctic char...and nothing but the Arctic char. Usually there's some rice or salad or something to accommodate an entrée, but there was absolutely nothing. The bread didn't come out until we asked for it and when it did, it wasn't toasted and was cold. Not what I was expecting for fine dining. They're selling you on the views of Lake Louise and surcharging a ridiculous amount. Very disappointed.

Some great vegan offerings at the Fairview with beautiful views of Lake Louise. Food and service were amazing! Lunch server Antoine was fantastic and our dinner server Olexandr went aboe and beyond; his service is next level and we had an amazing evening! Highly recomend trying the Rutabega Steak!

Nathaniel Jameer

High tea had great desserts and great service

Pretty good! After a long morning of hiking we decided to stop at the fairmont for a drink and a snack. When we entered the hotel, there was a long line for the main restaurant, but after putting our names on the waiting list we realized there was another restaurant right beside it…with the exact same lunch menu and almost dead inside lol. Ended up sitting here, much more elegant vibe. Our server, don’t know his name but he has a *british/australian* accent, he was super nice. Ordered the grilled calamari, mussels, spaghetti & meatballs, and s’mores dessert. We enjoyed the appetizers, average prices. The spaghetti was nothing special and a very small portion, wouldn’t order again. All the main dishes seemed really expensive. The view was great though, so we probably would return again after hiking. Our experience was good, but not amazing.

Jamie Palliser

Lunch was very good. We ordered chicken panini and Caesar salad. Everything was perfect! Expensive? Yes, but oh well.

Paul Siu

Room is okay..one would expect unstained carpet and clean bathroom at the very least! The meal at the bar and restaurant was a disaster..highly overpriced, very small portion and extremely tasteless bland food!

Tyler McLeod

Fairview at the Fairmont was good, not great but good. For some reason every dish was served on a cold plate and was room temperature. A few exceptions was the scallops and the fondue. I will return again after Covid to see if the food is served any warmer. Let's hope they find a way to get the amazing food served warm by then. I must say that the service was good to.

The best part about this hotel and restaurant was the water. That had to have been one of the worst meals I have ever eaten and yet one of the most expensive. Please do yourself a solid and eat in Banff before you come here. The fish had absolutely no flavour, rapini was meh, brother in law had to send his food back and my wife was thoroughly unimpressed.

I had a lovely afternoon tea experience. It was my first time and I would say it's well worth the price! My boyfriend and I got one to share and it was more than enough as we already had a meal before. Our server carefully explained each item for us and was very attentive. Not to mention, the views! I would recommend the afternoon tea, especially if you've never tried it before.

AdS

I would not recommend this restaurant, it is expensive and the food was not very good.

Patty Smith

Great food, especially desserts, I think passion fruit sorbet is the best sorbet I have ever tried.

Shantanu

Restaurant with world class scenic view of glacier and turquoise lake Louise in a fantastic and romantic atmosphere. The staff is super nice and professional. We have late lunch there. The dishes are very delicious and the dessert is great. Absolutely recommended. The lunch is a great deal . One of staff is super nice to tell us some story of the hotel in both winter and summer time. He even took a photo for us. Very appreciated.

Service was robotic and unorganized. One of the staff members in the booth beside us was on a skype call that was too loud and obstructing our ability to have a conversation. Asked for my steak medium rare and received it medium well. Nobody asked us why are entire party of four chose not to finish our meals. All of us left disappointed especially given the cost of the meals we expected much better quality and portions. We didn’t complain because we understand how hard the restaurant industry has been hit by Covid-19. We will not be returning or recommending this establishment.

First, the maitre'd for the lakeside restaurant was very snotty with his tone of voice when we arrived early and inquired a seat at lakeside. When we finally entered the Fairview restaurant for our designated reso at noon, the new hostess took forever to let everyone in. There was no one to help her and she was as slow as snail. There was a huge queue outside the restaurant, quite ridiculous considering the place just opened and all the tables were empty. The food was a hit and miss. One of our burgers was a soggy mess. The house salad had saran wrap inside the dish. The greens weren't fresh. For the location, we expected perfection. Our server did comp us for the saran wrap faux pas. But I prob wouldn't recommend this restaurant for food. Maybe a drink, as the view is amazing - if you get a seat by the window.

This place deserves one star because the manager waived the bill due to the lack of taste in the food. We ordered the chicken and salmon. Both dishes tasted like hospital food. The only aspect of the chicken dish that tasted good was the sweet potato fries, which is pretty hard to mess up. The salmon was served with a broth that looked like saliva mixed with vomit. The salmon was not fresh at all and seemed like it had been sitting out for days. The service was decent, not exceptional. Would not recommend the dinner. That night we went to bed hungry. We were told that the continental breakfast that was included in our package consisted of 3 pastries, which seemed bizarre. But, at this point, we were not expecting much from this hotel, so we upgraded that package so we could have a proper breakfast. We ordered the stack of pancakes, eggs, sausages and potatoes. The scrambled eggs and omelettes tasted like it was made out of metal. The eggs were not fresh at all, so we left that aside. The sausages were rock hard and cold as ice. The pancakes and potatoes were decent. The toast was cold and hard. We had to ask the server for butter and jam. The butter they gave us was the same butter that Tim Hortons would give out. The service was poor on all fronts. Would not recommend at all.

We had dinner here In June and were so impressed that we came back for tea the next day. The food was exceptional, both taste and presentation. The view is as ideal as it gets. But the thing that really set this experience apart from any other dining experience we have had is the astounding sense of ethics of the entire team. There are too many names to remember but we had specific dietary requirements (halal) and right from the chef to the manager and host everyone double checked and made sure options were available. The team spoke proudly of how they value inclusivity and the dignity with which they believed in that goal was spectacular. Most people talk about wanting to return to a restaurant for the food. This is a place we would like to return to just to know the people better and what drives such positive goals in an entire team. We had salmon, beef, and a beautiful creative dessert (peach puddle) among other things.

An amazing meal and impeccable service. We came in around 7pm without a reservation and were seated immediately right next to one of the large windows looking out over Lake Louise. Our server was attentive and knowledgeable about all of the food as well as wine pairings. It was a fantastic experience all around.

Leonardo Otsuka

Was ok, the service was great, the dessert was a surprise

Christos C

Can't go wrong with the food and view

We usually have our meals inside. But this time our friends want to sit outdoor. It's end of Aug, but chilly. Thanks to the staff switching on the heater near us. With the blankets prepared for customers, we're able to enjoy the meal.

Bram Warshafsky

Having eaten here tonight with my family, I can only give two stars for the view of the lake and mountains and for our server, Penelope, who was very helpful in sharing locations to visit while staying at Fairmont Lake Louise. However, I cannot give any stars for the food. Three of us ordered the Whole DeepWater Farms Seabass w/ saffron pernod-tarragon crème and thai basil at a market price of $72. Having been told that it was around 2 lbs of deliciously prepared fish, head to tail, we were expecting a tasty and filling meal. But as my wife put it, "It's not difficult to prepare a simple and delicious meal from fresh fish." However, it was far from filling or palate satisfying. Having just arrived today from Fairmont Banff Springs, where every meal at every restaurant there was a 5 out of 5, perhaps we were spoiled, but we won't return to the Fairview Bar & Restaurant this trip. Hopefully we will have better experiences at the other establishments here.

Sophie Lussier

The afternoon tea at this restaurant is lovely and the staff are really professional and friendly. The views out the window of the lake are beautiful too if you can get a window table. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because they randomly cancelled my reservation without contacting me a couple of weeks after I made it? And yet when my husband booked it was all fine. Weird..

My wife and I had dinner with another couple at this restaurant. The Lamb and beef were fantastic however we had a few issues with service. The server forgot one dessert out of 4. When we were finally able to get the servers attention the rest of the party had already finished their desserts. I had also ordered an Espresso for after dessert. The server brought this before dessert and it was cold by the time we finally got dessert. When we alerted the waiter it was taken and simply heated up rather then providing us a fresh brewed one. After dinner we inquired about a table in the lounge that was being cleaned. We were told a group was already waiting on this. We sat at the bar for an hour after the table was cleaned up and no group arrived. Maybe the waitress did not feel we deserved to sit at this spot? Overall I would not recommend due to the uptight service that does not treat all guests equally.

Clark Greenaway

Utterly terrible. Waiters more interested in each other. Food was below average. This place has a monopoly and they know it. Take in the view and eat elsewhere.

Ryan L

Amazing views not a question, very nice seating and totally superb customer service with a lot of options for drinks and food alike. Good menu and large portions. Definitely worth the money and the time if you visiting the area

Itz Mee

We dined here yesterday evening and had a memorable evening. The setting is amazing and very comfortable. The fish main (Arctic Char) was quite phenomenal and the cocktails were very tasy. This was all topped off by first class service from Kevin. Thanks for a great experience, we'll be back

Sandy Zequex

Great view, and nice service. The food is good, if you have special requirements , they can help you. Nice service. Customers can stay here 2-3hours , and free parking. Lovely experience and I will come back.

Emily Luthra

The lunch I had was nice and flavourful. The view amazing and staff very friendly and attentive. However their Salmon gave me food poisoning. And I used the bus to go back to Banff. Those were the most torturing 50 min in a bus. As 5 min in the road I had to hold a major diarrhea.

Neil McLean

Service was horrible. Our waiter was more concerned about being proper then making sure everything was good. He never came and asked us once if our food was good. We both had a burger and fries and the burger was weird looking and had a funny smell. I had to choke the few bites down that I took. A huge waste of $24. Our water was warm. My husband had French onion soup, that was the only good thing about that meal aside from the view.

Ashley Innes

Though many negative comments on this restaurant, we have a good experience dining here. Waitress was good and care politely, steak reached the standard like a gourmet restaurant. Good red wine from Napa Valley to pair with steak was an exciting match. I believe we start our dinner late (20:15) so that all guys were not busy and why we have a different experience

Rachelle Richard

What a lovely day having afternoon tea at Fairview Bar and Restaurant, my server Julia, was pleasant, kind and went out of her way to make me feel welcomed and comfortable. Thank you to the host, the chef and the entire staff. What a *magical* experience.

Arash Ghavami

Did not have dinner reservations so we sat in the lounge for a drink and appetizer. The appetizer was wonderful. The drinks were colorful and pretty, but pretty sure there was little to no alcohol. You would think for the price they charge some alcohol could have been included. Great view of the lake.

Amber St.Jacques

Seriously guys, when you have a $38 dish called soft shell crab, there needs to be more than a half bite of soft shell crab in the dish! I love soft shell crab and I was looking forward to having some. Instead what I received was a plate full of noodles with the tiniest piece of crab in the corner of the plate. Very disappointing!

Carter Derenisky

Beautiful view of the mountains here in this restaurant. The service was really good and the they really try to be an upscale restaurant. Frette napkins and quality flatware. Had a really nice cocktail that was nice and refreshing. It was recommended by the server. They had bread for starters. The presentation of the dishes was ok. The plate was big and the servings were small so it kind of made it look funny. The bone marrow was not what I expected and I probably wouldn't order it again. There was so much hype on it, I was disappointed. The Arctic char was delicious. It was well cooked and seasoned. Just the presentation of the dish was a fail for me. The kids enjoyed their chicken fingers and fries. Wife found her salad interesting. It was crisp and fresh and not overly dressed. It was a nice dinner with quite a view.

My husband and I stayed at the Fairmont and enjoyed wonderful breakfast in our room every day, lunch after our morning hike on the patio overlooking the lake, and a romantic dinner in the dining area. Each meal was delicious and the staff was great!

Shawn Kearns

We had lunch at the pub overlooking the lake, and the ambience alone would warrant a minimum of 3 stars. My chopped salad with steak was tasty and an appropriate size for lunch. My wife had the wedge salad with chicken, which she said was delicious. Throw in an IPA and a glass of Chard, and it WAS an expensive lunch. However, when you go to a place like this for lunch, you aren’t really paying for the food and you won’t regret the premium you paid for the overall experience. If you do, you are completely missing the point.

David Chan

Drove in from Calgary for a weekend stay at the Chateau Lake Louise and had a wonderful experience in Fairview. I ordered the salmon which was plated with artichokes and broccolini and was delicious. Would definitely come back for a nice dinner here.

Rebecca Z. Hardardt

We stayed at the Chateau and ate here for breakfast, lunch and dinner and had excellent service each time. The food was always fresh and delicious. We particularly enjoyed their cocktail list. We tried the Rocky Mountain breakfast, ahi tuna Niçoise salad, lamb rack and all were very good.

Aariz Mawji YT

Best location and best view. Staff is friendly and service is also very good. Rooms are very small. Food is good, only problem one had to make reservations for table even for guests (can't make judgment of time on Excursion )

Lana M

Pretty good. Duck wings were so crispy. So good.

Michael Lopreiato

The lamb is by far the best dish here. Bison lacked luster. As for starters, the Elk and Wagyu were okay- served cold & not ok. Get the lamb paired with a nice red.

Amandeep Sodhi

Great view. Had Afternoon Tea there. All you can eat dessert table

Siyuan Chen

Wonderful location with excellent food and service.

Mallory Gladman

High tea had stale bread, Brie sandwich only had Brie and nothing else. The shrimp was just combined with guacamole. The deserts were quite fair. The scones were nice, wish there was clotted cream instead of just whipped cream. Most of the sandwiches were dry including the proteins as if they were sitting out since yesterday. The table we had near the window, only one person was able to see the lake.

Rob M

There is a huge confusion with this restaurant. The restaurant with the large windows that are passed by most guest at the Fairmont is called the LAKEVIEW lounge, not the Fairview. The Fairview is next door in a smaller 1920’s style restaurant, less windows, however the food was cold and boring. I made a reservation at the fairview believing it was the Lakeview, however was open to the cute setting of the Fairview....and I was less impressed overall on their food. All appetizers were cold, even the elk carpaccio and a wagyu dish was served cold. The market special dish, also a wagyu was chewy and served with a simple 2 potato slices and ball of greens, very small portions and no favor dish. My husband and I decided to not get dessert in order to avoid disappointment. It was an anniversary dinner, and while we were congratulated verbally and given a postcard, I think we didn’t order enough to warrant any benefit from the waitress. Avoid hotel restaurants, they tend to not deliver on their pricy menus.

Conrad K.

If you're looking for the grand hotel type of dining experience, this is your place. The views are far better than at some other famed park restaurants, such as the Ahwanee in Yosemite. We were quite disappointed in our waiter. We sat for over ten minutes with absolutely no beverage, not even water, and this is a dry climate through which we had been walking. Overall our service was very slow--we saw other tables receiving better and faster service. The food is good, but at that price I was amazed there was no offer to replenish the tea sandwiches and to be charged for a second pot of tea (has no one from the Fairmont ever been to Harrods or Fortnam and Mason for tea?). The dessert buffet is an amazing addition to tea. The restaurant was very accommodating to my shellfish allergy.

We were celebrating our 5 year anniversary and craving steak. Recommended by the concierge for dinner but weren’t sure what to expect. However, we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of food and the service. Food: The bone in ribeye was HEAVENLY. It was massive and so tender! The next time we visit, we would probably order two of those. My husband and I agreed the steaks here are far better than anything we had in Calgary, cooked to perfection. Brussels sprouts with salted caramel was so shockingly good but it’s sad you only get maybe 7 pieces? Onion rings were not fresh - wouldn’t order them. Asparagus risotto was okay but not mind blowing. The waiters Chin and Cody (not sure if I remember the name correctly- he was assisting Chin since it was Chin’s training period) were so lovely and attentive. Cody recommended the brussels sprouts and that was my fav. Aaron, the manager, also was attentive and friendly. One thing I didn’t enjoy here: The starter bread (sourdough?) with whipped butter was quite disappointing; it was hard, maybe stale? Or gluten free? I took a bite and the rest was a hard pass. The whipped butter couldn’t even save that. Please note that some people still LOVE gluten. Overall, we will definitely return for more of their amazing steaks. The dinner at Fairview may be the reason why we stay at the Chateau Lake Louise.

Andrew Furmanczyk

Relaxing dining experience and food is not bad.

M. Jarmak

Our dinner at Fairview was nothing short of spectacular. First, we were given a table with a view bar none. Our server, Asher, was good natured, attentive and knowledgable. Unfortunately, we couldn't stop eating the bread and hand-churned butter! But that didn't stop up us eating our seriously delectable meal. Even our after dinner espresso drinks were incredible, brought to the table at just the right temperature. My honey said the bass and shrimp entree with beet risotto was the best fish he'd ever had!

Jo Luo

Good service, good drinks. Food was not hot enough which was very unfortunate…. Especially considering price range. Also I was hopping for a good view but even with a reservation we had to sit in the back. With view on the bar. Overall our experience did not meet expectations.

Silvia Pikal

The view made this a 2* review over the 1* I was going to give it. We came here as a celebratory dinner on our honeymoon. The food was mediocre and in tiny portions, the Wine over-priced and the service a little awkward. Save your money and get a burger from A&W instead! :)

Marko Ilicic

Fairview is beautiful hotel which also has a very interesting history. We had lunch here at Waliser Stube which is known for its Fondue. This was my first Fondue experience and I was glad to choose this place because the restaurant has amazing view of the lake. See attached pics or see more pics on IG - aman_sf.

Bi L

The restaurant has an awesome view, the service was pretty good and the food was good. For the price you pay, I was expecting something out of the box even for simple dishes like "sweet potatos". My duck wings were delicious and the thin fries underneath the wings were out of the box. The pate was good, very ubique tasty, but the toasts to eat with it were nothing more than sliced hard bread. They serve a carbonated water as an option i stead the normal tap water, what is really nice. My wife ordered a risoto(vegan) and it was Ok... again nothing out of the box as we always expect when pay more for a dish than the usual price. I liked the fact of that the restaurant paid for our parking

Doris Dong

Stopped in for the afternoon tea, it was so delicious! They have a full vegan option which was a very nice surprise. All the items were amazing.

It is my boyfriend’s 30th birthday and the concierge gave us two complimentary drink tickets to celebrate. We went to dinner at alpine social (which was amazing) and after, we came to Fairview for a night cap. We asked the hostess if we used our drink tickets, would we be able to tip our server. She told us to ask our server. It took over 10 minutes for a sever to come over to us. After I saw several servers repeatedly walking by without even acknowledging us, minus the glance over and smirk. Believe me, i know, i was a server for many many years. It’s the, you’re not my table, so i don’t care look. Unfortunately, they all gave us that look. When we finally had someone come over, we felt very rushed to order. She let us know that she wasn’t our server and she was just helping out our actual server, Richard, who never even came over to us once. When we were ready to leave, my boyfriend flagged down Richard to ask for the check. He brought it over and I presented him with our complementary tickets with my credit card to pay the difference. The only thing Richard talked to us about was that the drink tickets were not able to be used because our drinks cost more than they were worth. We literally chose more expensive drinks so we were able to tip our server. Yet, since we never actually spoke to a server, we couldn’t ask them about any of the above. It’s an unfortunate experience because it left a very sour taste in our mouth for our trip to the Fairmont, especially when you pay this much for a room....

Calista Carreon

Service was extremely sub par. For a dinner that cost $70 per plate I would expect a warm dinner with quick service. My family and I waited until 8pm for our dinner (for a 6pm reservation). We then waited another 20 minutes for the bill! Price is not something I rate my dinners on, however, for an establishment as renowned as the Fairview at the fairmont lake Louise I expect much much better. DO NOT dine here.

John C

The food was good but nothing memorable. However, what makes this review a 5-star is the outstanding service we received from Olexandr when we went there.

Marie-Anne Lalonde

Dan and Sonya were lovely hosts. We enjoyed wine, views and a lovely charcuterie plate.

Nick W

We had an afternoon drinks and snacks here, fantastic view and very friendly and knowledgeable waiter . Drinks and snack taste good too so in general worth the price !! Would go back again

carrie chan

Good service, but the menu was a bit disappointing and so were the dishes. We ordered steak and it was reheated. Prices are high - roughly $70 per person for a main and wine - and not worth it. Not recommended.

Charles L

Overpriced for the amount of items you received... you can get better high tea in other cheaper places tbh. service was a bit slow but our server was very nice and tried his best to accommodate. However, feel they are short staffed... managers look careless... never talked to the guests or even greeting... kinda feel bad for the staff there...

Murph Dolton

Delicious charcuterie platter.

Joel Mosier

Service was exceptional both morning and evening, the food was great and the sommelier was so good, he was able to guide us towards great wine discovery. Morning menu was also excellent, we loved their cappuccino and the diversity of the menu. This place made our stay even better.

Jaspreet Mann

We had a great breakfast. Amar, Holly and Nicolle are exceptional hosts and made sure we had everything you need. Try the breakfast Poutine! Thanks again!

I feel sad that the reviews here seem to concentrate on minor pickings about warm table water and their obviously poor food choices. The food was of the caliber you expect at an establishment like this - modern, flavoursome, well cooked, well balanced, expensive. On the night I dined, the kitchen and floor staff were discombobulated by a larger number of covers than expected due to a tour group arrival. In all hospitality crisis situations it must be remembered that the cream of the waitstaff rise to the top and they are the ones to be remembered. Our waiter worked so hard to keep our table and section as happy as possible while other waitstaff (and the floor manager) flounced about filling water glasses, changing linens at snails pace to turn a table over and asking how we felt about the long wait for food. In all, it took 3.5 hours for our table of four to eat a three course meal. I've had a 7 course degustation in less time. All said, our waiter Brad was a stunning example of fine dining service. Caring to a fault and sweating with the exertion of holding a night's service together on his own, he is an example to other (younger) staff and should be duly rewarded if anyone with a brain at the Chateau actually reads reviews.

Today was the first day I've sent back food. Ordered the burger and it came so overcooked that it tasted like I was chewing newspapers. I was shocked it wasn't seasoned. Staff apologized and stated they will bring me a new one. I witnessed another table sending their burgers back as well. When the new burger came it was not too far off from the first. Some moisture present but again dry, under seasoned, and I'd rather have one simple cheeseburger from any fast food chain than give them a third chance. When it came to service, everyone is extremely friendly and a pleasure to deal with. Unfortunately they had poor attention to my table, even though the restaurant was less than 40% capacity. We were spoken to only 3 times and they brought our meals without clearing our soup bowls, causing us to have to clean our tables so our waiters could place down our meals. Rest of my table had subpar food as well. The lobster roll was the most flavorful. Tomato coconut soup was amazing and the only reason I can't give this place one star. Also the view is amazing!

This was the only restaurant was that was open on the night that we wanted to have dinner at the hotel. We tried to avoid Fairview because of its low rating. We originally booked to dine at Lakeview (another restaurant in the Fairmont but with a much better rating), but was told that Lakeview was not open. With no other choice, we sat down at Fairview with an open mind. And it wasn't terrible, you can sense that they really do try to uphold the standard expected in a wonderful restaurant setting, with a beautiful view of the lake, in a name brand hotel. However, despite their attempt, they miss their mark. The quality was not up to standards to what you would expect at a Fairmont property. More importantly, the quality was not even close to what you would expect for their menu prices. This was the highest dollar-to-quality ratio (i.e. expensive food for low quality) that I've ever paid in a restaurant. The hotel's website boasts Chef Nicholas Issel as their executive chef. We encourage Fairmont to re-examine this position, as this restaurant is not on par with the other wonderful Fairmont restaurants that we've experienced in other cities. If the menu prices were half of what they charge (e.g. $35 for the Sablefish instead of the $70 that they actually set), then I would rate Fairview at Three Stars. My sablefish needed to be excellent for $70, but sadly it was dry. I also ordered a lobster tail on the side, and it was overcooked, undersized, underwhelming, and overpriced at $32. I normally wouldn't rate a restaurant by its prices, but Fairmont needs to reconsider resting on its laurels with their brand when it comes to Fairview at Chateau Lake Louise.

Timothy Laidlaw

Food was glorious! Had the crab cakes as an app which was so amazingly light. Crispy and fluffy all at once, and an aioli that matches perfectly. Nothing compared to the burger though. That maple taste really knocked it out of the park. Perfect texture and the most balanced flavouring to boot.

J Park

Had a delicious afternoon tea and my friends all had wild boar burgers! The view was stunning and we had amazing staff looking after us!

John Norris

Ordered a wine and Arctic char and an order of shrimp and a lobster tail, with wild boar and peas. My $21 order of jumbo prawns (plural on the receipt) was a single piece of shrimp Whole experience felt like a rip off.

Grace Lee

I have to write this review in two parts - one for afternoon tea and one for dinner. Afternoon tea was absolutely extraordinary. Definitely not cheap (65$ for vegan menu, 70$ for regular menu), but definitely worth it. I loved that they had a separate vegan menu with scones and spreads, finger sandwiches, and desserts. My favorite was the carrot cupcake! The experience was so decadent and satisfying. 5 stars for the afternoon tea. Dinner was a little underwhelming. There were very few vegan options - 1 salad and 2 side dishes (local mushrooms and asparagus risotto). These options were all tasty but overpriced and not very filling. 3 stars for the dinner. Service was friendly and the atmosphere was unparalleled.

Noor Al-bochaki

If you’re looking to relax while soaking in the iconic views of Lake Louise, Fairview is the perfect place for that! Although understandably pricey, enjoying the afternoon tea service here is definitely something you should experience at least once. If you’re looking to just grab a light snack and a beverage while still being able to enjoy the view, their lounge area is chic with a great ambiance and you can do just that without splurging on the tea service. Dinner is the reason why one star was taken away from the rating. The service was good albeit very slow and the crispy duck wings were tasty, but the main courses (notably the burger) were less than enjoyable. We definitely wouldn’t come back for dinner but I still highly recommend it for afternoon tea or a snack/drink.

Good food and service. Great view and restraunt

Dinner review: The restaurant tries to be upscale with their service and high prices, but in reality you are just paying for the view. The service was great. The food wasn't what I was expecting. The Elk ribeye (medium rare) was burnt on the exterior, leaving the burnt carbonized taste to overpower the meat. You wouldn't realize if it was Elk or Beef that you were eating. The wild boar chop (medium) was 40% fat and rare along the bone. I understand it's always a bit harder to get that area cooked, but it's pork. What I found interesting was that it lacked any strong taste or even a slight gaminess to it. Perhaps it was well seasoned, or maybe it was just farmed pork. The sauce pairing for all the dishes was just lazy for an upscale restaurant. Beef steaks have one sauce pairing while all other cuts of meat have another generic overly sour (pickled berries) sauce pairing whether it works with the dish or not. I understand they are trying to established themselves for their quality cut of meats, but since it's not really the case, then at least make some efforts in the sauce pairings. Even the side dish of sautéed mushrooms and tasted better with the meats. In summary, don't expect much from the food, if you get a table next to the window, then stay. Otherwise, I suggest to eat somewhere else.

Great views, amazing food with helpful & friendly service, especially from our waiter Matthew. Came here for dinner for two nights (no reservations and got seated quickly). The first night we had the Vintage 67 35-day dry age 10oz Striploin & Vulcan Half Rack of Lamb, both of which were delicious and full of flavor and seasoning. The second night we had the Prime sharing cut, a 40oz porterhouse steak. Hands down the porterhouse steak was the best dish compared to the rack of lamb & striploin we had. It's delicious and extremely tender that's cooked to a perfect medium-rare with three choices to pair the steak with: beef jus, chimichurri and Himalayan salt. Definitely recommend the prime sharing cut if you got the appetite for it.

We went there on June/12th evening. Waiter was plain face.. no smile and no welcoming face. We waited for 45 minutes before we got dinner on the table. The food was warm and the Tomahawk was cold and chewy. You wouldn't expect that from high end stake piece. Told that to the waiter and didn't seem to even care. The basil leaves were dry and burnt as they were old on top of the Basa fish order and flower placed was a weird type of flower (pic below) Not the service and food we expected given the price range and reputation the hotel has. Very disappointed

Service was exceptional, food was eh for the price point. Lobster roll had barely and lobster and sweet potato fries were overdone and hard. However, the view from the restaurant is magnificent.

Beautiful view and a very romantic setting. Came here mid December for dinner. We were brought to our table fairly quickly upon our arrival for our reservation. Bread, appetizers, mains and deserts were brought out in a timely manner. But really the only star of the evening were these mini scones that came with our cream brulee. The tenderloin and striploin were delicious, but didn't feel I got what I paid for, for what the level of dining and price was... Probably will try a different restaurant next time around.

A little pricey but some interesting menu items (and a good view if you get the right seat). Nachos good to share and the taco flight is an interesting take on tacos with good flavour and quite light.

had the NY strip with sweet potato, done just right and of course great views of the lake

Jonah was a fantastic host. He was knowledgeable, attentive and personable. Amazing service!

Food is great. The mains are a very reasonable price for fine-dining given the location

Excellent food, excellent service and an amazing wine list. Can't ask for much more while taking in that view! Can't wait to go back

Food was nice, with friendly staff. The restaurant could do with a make over but all In all great value for your money.

Sat at the bar section for a late dinner. Lovely service and good food but pricey cocktails.
