Waited almost 2 months from when we put in a request until it was done. Received a call one evening at 9:30pm from Andrew saying they wanted to come the next morning. By the time I returned his call, they were already booked somewhere else for the day. When they did arrive, the man cutting our branches (Richard) was rude and argumentative. His colleagues (who seemed to be decent guys) told us Richard was in a ‘bad mood’ which shouldn’t be my problem as a paying client. Richard took no precautions where he dumped cut branches and he hit our house several times. He actually broke a tree branch because he was so aggressive with tossing his cuts! Richard also argued with us about the details on our work order, and did a sloppy job on one of our trees. All in all a miserable experience for us. We will NEVER use this company again.

Very poor service from this company. Very bad work as well. The employees, instead of following what was written on the submission, just decided to cut a Cedar tree to its trunk, which was not what i asked. They just butchered my Cedar tree to its half way, to the trunk, instead of just trimming the extra branches. This 30 years old Cedar tree will not grow back. Also, they did not trim the maple tree «for more sun» as it was written in the submission. The work was fastly done and nobody came to knock at the door when they came. I just woke up and the mess was already done. They could have at least knocked on the door before starting the work, just to make sure everything was still ok with me. I would NOT recommand anyone to ask this company to take care for the trees. Not recommendable. Not acurate in the work.

I had them come to my place to trim a big maple tree in a small Cote des Neiges backyard and I would recommend these guys 100%. They showed up as scheduled did what i wanted and no damage to anything, not even a flower was broken. All branches, leaves picked and raked cleaned like they were never there. The team at Safe-T-Tree removed an infected ash tree from my property. Removal was performed quickly and efficiently, and the post-work cleanup was likewise well done. Their work was timely, even in spite of inclement weather. Indeed, initially, the stump removal had been overlooked because the crew had to pack up early due to inclement weather, however, they were quick to point out their oversight and return to complete the job. Great service, especially from Elaine and Andrew who were incredibly helpful and communicative throughout.

Was billed 145 after they cancelled the job because someone told them to stop without confirm if it was me.They won't void it nor will they come back unless the 145 fee is paid. The Manager was incredibly rude and unprofessional when I called to understand and resolve the situation. Details below for full review to avoid similar issues if you decide to go with them. They told me it's my problem his workers left and I have to deal with my neighbours who told them to stop for the bill. They didn't ask for the person's info. I was told we do not need to be avaliable several times and on the contract that they might come unannounced. The manager also hung up on me and kept blaming me for not being there rather than taking responsibility for canceling the job without my approval or not billing me for stopping. Note, The work was preapproved and signed for with my name.

It was very important to get this review out. I tried 3 times and for some reason I failed when adding my pics and I lost my entire message each time, lol. Here we go again. I needed them to remove a ton of branches and logs that they(Safe-T-Tree) did not cut down, we did. They were just needed to haul away the debris. Their team sent a quote, honored it, and the next day, did their job and more than asked for. Highly recommended. I am now asking them for a quote to cut the other 3 trees still standing. I trust them.

Had 3 stumps removed, one large maple trunk cut down to the ground, and a whole bunch of wood pieces hauled away. They were the first to come for a quote, first to be available for the job, and price was very reasonable. The crew was professional and polite and did everything as expected. One of our stumps was close to our house, so couldn’t be removed entirely, but the owner came by to look for himself, offer suggestions to dry out the remainder, and adjusted our invoice accordingly. No complaints whatsoever and I highly recommend them

I contacted Safe-T-Tree through their website to obtain a quote for the removal of an ash tree. The quote with a photo of my tree arrived in an email two days later. I accepted the quote on Day 3 and the tree was gone on Day 4. Andrew is certainly very responsive. They even structurally trimmed a young oak tree that needed management. I would recommend them again to anyone.

We had a big job to get done (Removal of 6 trees and pruning of others). Andrew was the first to respond (we did receive other quotes) and he offered the best price. We contacted him with an urgent request after the tropical storm cracked a huge branch onto our neighbour's gazebo. He was able to fit us in and get his team here a little earlier than scheduled. Thank you! Angelo and his team were fantastic, courteous, professional and listened to our concerns. It did take them 2 days to get the work done, due to some more rain and a raccoon who happened to be in the Ash tree that was being removed....that was a surprise to all of us! The team moved to another tree and the raccoon eventually made it's way down into the yard next door...phew! They take care of the animals as well ;) The next time we have work to be done, we will definitely contact Safe-T-Tree again. Thanks again guys!!

I requested their services and approved they're quote back in July 14th, in august 13th sent an email asking an eta was told within the next week, and someone would contact me that never happened, August 31st sent another email and no response, called them on September 11th and let them a message saying " I waited 2 months to get my hedge's done and no response and that if my hedges were not done within the following week I want to cancel their services," the same day someone called me and let me know that they would be coming the following Thursday, to my great surprise I got another company to do my edges sent by them, they gave my contract and info to someone else , without asking . I can tell you that I will never use Safe t Tree Services as their customer service is poor, they keep customers in the dark . I am happy that the sub company that came are great and from now on, they will be getting my business instead of Safe T Tree. this company need to go back and look at their customer service, they have to realize that its with customers that can keep their business open and if they keep with their bad service unfortunately without customers they have nothing

The owner evaluated a large old silver maple and gave us a quote to trim it and do some other work. They came, trimmed the silver maple and did not do the other work.. but kept the extra 200 dollars. One month later, in a big wind storm a huge branch came down after they trimmed it for safety reasons. The owner refused to help deal with the damaged tree and he quit. We are still trying to deal with the huge branch that is in our backyard. do not hire them. they are both unprofessional, expensive, incapable of evaluating, do not follow their written quotes and they quit when you need follow up assistance.

For some reason (likely COVID related) I was having trouble getting call backs when I left messages with potential contractors for tree removal and tree pruning services. I had 3 small dead trees that needed to be removed and 4 mature maples to be pruned. Safe-T-Tree was one of the few that called back. At least they were honest in saying that it would be 1 month + before they could get to it. In the meantime, Dorval city inspector confirmed a dangerous crack that had formed in one of the maples close to the house, requiring immediate removal. I called Safe-T-Tree (Andrew) and he came out to take a look. Within a week they had a team out to deal with the damaged maple, removing enough branches to make it safe. Within another three weeks they were back to complete the job. PROS: All-in-all, I was impressed with response of Safe-T-Tree crew. They took care of the urgent need in a timely fashion, and they were honest and realistic as to when they could complete the remaining work. The crew worked very hard and in heatwave conditions. The crew consulted me in the pruning, making sure I got the desired effect (more sunlight in the back yard). Very polite, made the effort to move plants, patio lights & furniture so nothing was damaged. Did a good job cleaning up my property when they finished. CONS: They did not get all the plants, lights and patio furniture returned to the original places, and a bit of wood chips on the road where the wood-chipper stood, but these are minor. I would have no hesitation in recommending them to neighbours, friends and family.

I got a quote and the work outlined was extensive and needed a professional arborist to carry out the work. I asked them to notify me when they were coming because I wanted to be there to go over the work before they got started. Nobody called, they (not arborists) just showed up and did the work while I was away. As I suspected they did not follow the work order and left without completing the work required. They had to come back 3 times to finish the job. Do not deal with this company, there is a bad communication problem and don’t seem to know what they are doing. I give it 1 star.

Took a while (about 2 months) to get out to pierrefonds, but once they did, the job got done with one little miss hap. Branch fell on my clothes line & pulled it from the house. The owner was great, he showed up (on one of the coldest days) & fixed it (yes, even in the winter I use my clothes line for as long as I can get to it ). No hassle, no questions. I'll definitely use them again.

They were supposed to cut the branches that were in the electrical wires and prune 2 lilac tree. What they did made my trees look terrible & there was even some branches cut and left hanging there. I told them I could of done a better job myself. What I understand when someone prune a tree is to give it a nice shape, cut the dead branches etc. I'm really disappointed. It wasn't worth the price!! Another thing, when you call them they never answer the phone, you have to leave a message or send a email. This was the worst experience I ever had with a company.
