The trees we purchased in the fall unfortunately came with needle cast, some worse than others. At first the nursery seemed willing to stand by their product and hounour their guarantee but it has become such a hassle trying to resolve this issue. Communication is a challenge and apparently damage to our property is acceptable to them. The workmanship is disappointing and customer service is terrible. We spent $15-20,000 in total. I have no confidence in a resolution.

Loved it here! I got a ride with my Mom who had other errands to run so we didn't stay as long as I would have liked...but I'll be back on my own, because I could seriously spend an hour here. So many beautiful things to look at. Pricing could maybe be lower but the service is friendly and I love the variety. We went around 10:30 am and it wasn't very busy so social distancing wasn't an issue. I definitely recommend this wonderful place!

Nice place with a good selection. Their fish are excellent and will last a long time. The last 2 I bought disappeared from my pond, but they left a little present and I have about 20 beautiful fishes now! Not a lot of help in the aquatic plants department so they should focus a bit on that.

The worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. Called a couple days before heading over from brantford in regards to an exchange of a pear tree that we bought a few weeks ago and we were told that it’s fine, to just bring it back. We arrive today after an hour drive and they tell us they can’t do an exchange because they don’t know if there are bugs on it? It’s a small tree that was never removed from pot you can clearly see it’s been very well taken care of looks incredibly bigger and better than when we first bought it. I called beforehand so I wouldn’t need to waste my time and gas for no reason. I will never be coming back. Many better places to visit who stick by their return and exchange policies with excellent customer service. Unfortunately St. Jacobs country gardens is not one of them. Don’t trust what their employees say. Very disappointed.

Decent selection for the average garden. However, after I got home I found mealybugs throughout my succulent, and the soil was heavily soaked. My second succulent was the opposite - the soil was bone dry with a fungus growing on the surface. Wouldn't buy succulents from them again.

This greenhouse is smaller than others in the KW area, but has a good selection of annuals, perennials, small trees and bushes. They also have a beautiful indoor waterfeature that will inspire. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

VERY frustrated.... bought 150$ worth of items for pots, had a lady there help me, I ask for what dirt I should get for the pots and she sells me garden soil.... anyhow I get home and do the pots and I water, but the drainage is terrible. I read up on this now and it says to not use garden soil in pots.... I phone the store and get another lady that basically validates this and offers me nothing... in the end I get an “I’m sorry” Thanks for wasting my time and money, Staff isn’t knowledgeable

I went here for pond supplies and aquatic plant for my garden pond. They where very helpfull and knowledgeable. And the plants where healthy and vibrant. The only negative was they seamed a bit short staffed. It took some time for the pond expert to get to help me and then the checkout was also slow . There was only two checkouts and one was being used to deal with a commercial phone order that took 20+ minutes.

3 weeks ago I bought 14 rolls of sod. When I went to the cashier I specifically asked when it came in and I was told the day before. I brought it home and found out it looked very dry, but I took their word and patched up the spot in my backyard. After a week of watering, it was evident that the sod was not going to come back. I phoned the nursery asking to talk to someone about the sod looking for new rolls or some kind of solution, unfortunately the person in charge was not there and I’m still waiting for my reply. This is a greenhouse we do business with every spring and even recommended to my parents in Orangeville who recently bought trees. We are disappointed with the customer service. I still have the pictures and receipt if they want to talk.

Special thanks to Scott who always makes himself available to advise and make the best recommendations for your garden or landscaping. Every single time we went at Country Gardens we enjoyed the wide selection of trees and plants and always found the right plants for our landscaping projects.

Such a beautiful garden centre. Lots of choice in flowers, trees, shrubs etc as well as accessories for garden and home. They sell gear if you want to build a pond - even koi fish. Great spot to come even with young ones - turtles, fish, a chicken, geese and a few goats! Definitely makes it a more fun time for kids to go garden shopping!

A great garden centre to find your typical, and also very unique plants. Their annual selection is much more vast than most nurseries in the spring and fall time, and the staff are very knowledgeable for any questions that you may have. My most recent project was the city trees that are along the street and they helped me find plants that were tolerant to the heavy road salt used in the winter.

Just purchased (among others) 3 rolls of sod to discover after arriving home (in Waterloo, no less) that it was all rotten and mouldy. I should perhaps add that at that time it was raining and got all muddy in the process of loading and unloading it from the car. The “customer service” person admitted that it should not have been sold to us in the first place and quite irritated (our fault?!) offered a credit; however, she refused to apologize or understand what the real problem was -- the fact that we are left with a pile of rotten stuff that we don’t have where to compost -- and just said "I don't have time" and hang up the phone. It is the first time we visited this garden center, and the first time a business was this rude for a reason that was obviously their fault.

Bought over $100 worth of vegetables for my garden, within 4 days half of the stock had died. Called to ask if they accept exchanges (every other garden center offers guarantees and exchanges on their plants) and was told that they do not exchange vegetables. Lady on the phone was very rude and I left the conversation feeling very frustrated and upset. I would not recommend this place just in terms of the customer service and would not return to purchase anything else.

I spent a night here about a week ago, and it was one of the worst hotels I've ever stayed in. All of the beds were terribly uncomfortable and so I couldn't sleep at all. Also at random points in the night it would just start raining in my room. Room service was terrible, complimentary breakfast was all just salad, and I had to leave my room and be checked out before 8am the next day. Will not be spending another night here.

Picked up some mulch today. When I called ahead the person I spoke to said discount to $7 a bag if more than 10 purchased. Not so. One lady at the desk made me feel like I made this up. I would not. We loaded 10 bags in the car and had to remove it because they said the choice we made was even more that other mulch. We loaded our next 10 ( no help from yard people). Not a good experience today.

My experience here has always been wonderful and educational. The associates are friendly, and go beyond the call of duty to help and offer ideas & suggestions. They do fabulous Christmas arrangements, but they also really know their gardening stuff. They are located on the road between St. Jacob's and Conestogo It's worth the drive.

We have been coming here for about 5 years now and we're always walking out smiling with a trunk full of incredible plants. The staff here is sooooo genuinely kind: the ladies at cash are so kind and always so helpful answering any of my questions. The gentleman at the fish pond area always making the children smile and happy by allowing is to feed the fish. By far the best place for plants and garden decorations in Ontario! I love this place. I've got to know a couple of the staff and Scott, in particular, is amazing. He gives us great advice and I've even asked him questions about things that I bought at other greenhouses (before they were open) and he doesn't mind advising me on those plants, trees etc. Prices are pretty good too. I'd highly recommend it to anyone.

We would never recommend this business, we spent over $10,000.00 on a small garden and waterfall, and they made numerous errors such as measuring the site for the garden installation incorrectly and then trying to blame us for their error, when quite clearly the documentation they provided for their estimate indicated they were at fault. We did try to work this out in a fair way, only to discover after the installation of our waterfall the pump mechanism continually leaked which required us having to request they fix it. This then resulted in us we being labelled and treated as a nuisance customer?? The owner is rude and aggressive and blames the customer for his poor quality product and installation. We would never ever recommend this business when there are so many garden centres to chose from nearby that we have discovered offer much better customer service!

The plants are so well kept, not even one dead flower on a mum. It was insane the care that went into these plants. I adore the goats, they are so sweet. This is just such a great place to look around and let your creative plant juices flow.

Pick up a profusion crabapple tree at a very reasonable price. This place has a large variety of Japanese maples at excellent prices. Customer service is top notch, very friendly and helpful. Best place to pickup what ever your garden needs. I recommend without hesitation.
