Brutal. They take forever to get back to you. Came for a quote, promised the quote by end of day and then nothing for 3 days. If you want to use a company that makes promises and never keeps them go ahead and use these guys. Otherwise look elsewhere.

Your lucky I have to give you any score. Your disrespect to myself from one of your workers when i question why some stranger is in my daughters yard taking the wood, that was her tree in her yard. Then there were 2 strangers in my yard. After that they left the site not even finishing the job. Call the number on website for a Manager and he has never returned that call. Contacting Hydro as they werewere contracted for this job. Better companies out there that should have the contract then this company. Total Disrespectful to women, because if my husband was here would of been different story. Don't say you will investigate as you tell other customer. Just correct it.

Ended up using Davey again this year since they had the best quote. Much better experience this time around. Bumped up the rating accordingly ------------------------------------ The actual tree pruning work was well done and well priced - so I'm happy with that. Communication with Davey has been a complete nightmare though, so be prepared for that. I only went ahead with the work because I hadn't found an alternate vendor during the month+ of no responses from the local office - which I regret now that it's impossible to resolve questions about my invoice for work not completed. ---------------------------------------- Davey did reach out shortly after I posted the above (1 business day) and we were able to resolve the outstanding questions.

Davey was sourced by the city of Cambridge to remove a giant Sycamore. The team showed up early and took the tree piece by pice in a safe and skilled manner. This two man team removed the tree down to 5 foot of stump. These guys were awesome. The shortfall to this experiance is that they were not equipped for such a large stump, so it had to remain for someone else to come and remove it. Unfortunately that never happened. Another company has been called to finish the job. I give top marks to the guys that came out but we lose some with the lack of follow through.

The most competitively priced on a difficult job. The did a great job without any damage to any of the surrounding structures. They were fast, efficient, and courteous. When the bill came in it was exactly as quoted. I'd absolutely use them again.

This is the second time we used Davey Tree, highly recommend this company, they use highly skilled arborists, I was amazed how well they were able to remove the branches and limbs with ropes avoiding houses and wires. If you’re debating between davey and some cowboy who is cheaper I definitely would use davey, at least you will know the job is done right the first time. I never had a chance to ask what the guys names were.

Had someone come out two weeks ago and they were supposed to send a quote. I emailed several times with no response. Called the office and was told they would leave the guy a message and we should get our quote that day. Another 4 days has gone by and still no quote. Emailed in to customer service again and still nothing!!!!! Apparently, they do not want our business. So disappointing as we thought their solution was what we needed.

I contacted Davey Tree in May 2021 for a quote for tree removal. I was given an approximate time of arrival, the representative was late. No problem, I understand it is a busy season. I received a quote on the spot when they showed up. I asked how to get the work done and was told to call the office. I called the office within 30 minutes to accept the quote, but was told the arborist would have to call me back. Once I got a call back I was told that someone would come by before the end of the next week to remove the tree and that I would receive a phone call the day before. Once again, no problem I accepted these terms. No one came by Thursday of the following week, so I contacted them and was told that it would be escalated to a manager to have the arborist call me, no one called me. Randomly three and a half weeks later, Davey Tree shows up out of the blue to remove my tree. No call beforehand, nothing. I was lucky to even be home, if I hadn't already had the work done by another company, would they have just went ahead and removed it? This is a very unprofessional way of doing business. Promising a call back from someone locally because the person I was talking to told me they were in British Columbia. Some customer service in the office department needs correcting to ensure a more pleasant experience for future customers as you lost my business.

The Davey Tree Company from the Kitchner office to trim two dead elm trees at the top of our condo building parking lot on Waterloo Street earlier this year as they were too close to the hydro wires. I spoke with the arborists about the trimming the day before they were going to do the job as I had just completed a new perennial garden right below and 25ft around the trees. I was anxious that they do as little damage to my garden. I was able to move any cars out of the parking area so that they could use our driveway rather than the road to access the trees. I know Sam was the arborist up in the bucket cutting down the limbs and he through all the cut off branches on to the cleared driveway away from my garden. All the debris was completely cleared up from the entire area. There wasn’t a single plant damaged. Sam was a very pleasant young man as was the other arborist who worked along with him.

We used Davey for the first time twice this year. The service we received was excellent from the first phone call for a quote to the final cleanup! They were unable to use the bucket in our yard so they had a climber and ground crew. They were a great group. Friendly, polite and professional. Highly recommend this company!

Full mailbox, no way to leave a callback number, no response to email over multiple days. Very unprofessional, I expected more from a large company but will be going with a smaller, more contentious company, who actually cares about the work they do.

Today marks the 4th promise of Kyle MacDonald coming to cut down our tree. The 4th time in the last month and a half where he hasn't showed up, hasn't called or e-mailed either. The last time he just stopped replying to e-mails for a few weeks. Giving him the benefit of the doubt, we agreed one last attempt when he finally replied and of course he still didn't show up. This is absolutely unprofessional and inexcusable to not even let us know he wasn't going to show up. I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone. What a waste of time.

Did not complete the job, when asked to complete the job gave us the runaround for a year. Finally came back and only ground 2 of the 3 stumps that was in the original contract that was paid for. Was offered a discount if we paid by a certain date. Did not honour the discount. Does not answer calls. Will not return phones calls. Impossible to get a hold of them.

I hired Davey Tree to trim the cedars in the back yard. They were very tall with their branches spreading over my flower garden. My sad plants had to stretch for the sun. The two workers did an amazing job of trimming the front and the tops. My yard looks bigger and neat. They cleared and took away all the branches large and small. I am very impressed and pleased with this company and glad to see a woman was part of this two person crew.

What a great job! Had a slow release fertilizer injection procedure done for my old sugar maple the day before the two guys came with the bucket truck for a major trimming and pruning job on two huge old trees. Between the bucket and their elaborate system of ropes and harnesses they cut away some very large dead branches with precision and expertise. No damage to anything, very careful work, and they cleaned it all up and raked afterwards! Very thorough and professional!
