Great place to get your local growing going
I'm brand new to the area and was happy to find a beautifully laid out, easy to shop nursery with friendly staff that helped me find the perfect plants for my new window boxes.
Great variety, staff is educational and informative. Saturday classes are a must if you plan on having a garden in this region.
Great selection, helpful people, and just a nice environment to walk around in and a great place to learn.
Enjoy the beautiful garden center and the helpful staff. The plant and merchandise quality can't be beat in the Tri-City area!
I love Watters, great people.
Beautiful plants❤️☀️????
Love, love, love Watters Garden. Staff are great and knowledgeable. If you want a quality product go here if you love gardening. If you just want to stick some flowers in a pot and don't care how or if it grows, or what type a products have forced it to grow then buy from a box store.
Best garden center in Prescott.
Watters is my go-to-place for anything gardening! A large selection of healthy plants and trees, and a helpful, knowledgeable, friendly staff. Shopping there is always a pleasurable experience!
Specifically went to Watters Garden Center to get the wildflower seeds.
Love love love our local Nursey! Watters Garden is a must stop every year for me on Shop Local Saturday! Ken and the entire staff are top knotch! So knowledgeable and helpful!!! 5 STARS!!!
Very clean and well organized; friendly, helpful folks
So knowledgeable for our area...what works, what doesn't. Love the Saturday classes.
Good information on how to successfully grow plants, online and in person.
Friendly and knowledgeable staff! My plant was sick and they identified the problem and trained me on how to better care for it. They were very attentive, and made sure they did all they could to help me out. The only thing I’d say is this: this place has a wide variety of outdoor plants, but I wish they had more houseplants. Overall it was a very pleasant experience!
After moving to Prescott last year from Hawaii, Watters Garden Center became our #1 source for information on native plants and how to maintain beautiful flowers and shrubs in such a dry high-plains climate. Their free Saturday classes were a great source of information, with a wide variety of plant exhibits for show and tell. John & Rose Strong
Friendly, knowledgeable, and experienced staff, prices a bit high
Honest the voicemail they have is rude. It says if you are calling that you are not as important as the customers inside. That's a great way to advertise yourself. Doing the bare minimum.
Today staff was very helpful
Very nice nursery and employees who know there plant's. Love the classes as well, they are so helpful coming from Calif and having to rethinkg the way we plant and what to plant. But unfortunately I have ran into one of thier employees now twice sense we have moved here, and I have to say she is very Rude! First time I vowed to never return, but thought she was having a bad day. Guess every day is a bad day for her.
Amazing variety. Price is what you would expect from a facility of this quality, and I mean that as the highest of comments.
Nice place to stop in prescott. They have a good selection of plants. Also carry a very nice selection of extremely durable and sun resistant recycled outdoor furniture. Drop in and check them out.
Best place, staff always helpful and knowledgeable. Hot day we were there my husband is on oxygen. He couldn't do much walking. Wonderful young lady found our plants for us loaded them in our truck. Was again a great experience. Thanks Watters
I live in Cottonwood; but travel to Watters Garden Center in Prescott a few times a year to pick up supplies and plants. They have the best surviving, pest free plants. I've also attended some of their Saturday garden classes, where I have learned a lot about gardening in my Zone.
All the plants are well kept and look healthy. Knowledgeable staff
It's more expensive than Home Depot, but they guarantee their plants. This makes it well worthwhile to come here. Come often, since the selection is very seasonal and is different every time.
Great variety and helpful staff with questions. Prices are decent on most things.
Amazing friendly people. Ready to help you get your garden or plants right...
I've been working at Watters since 2007 and LOVE IT! Most of all I love the fellow gardeners I meet every day. I also appreciate the knowledge exchanged with fellow employee's and local gardeners that visit Watters Garden Center. Not to mention the beautiful surroundings I get to work in everyday. Life is GOOD at Watters Garden Center!!!
Very nice garden center with an excellent variety of trees, shrubs, unique plants of all kind. Also a great selection of pots, rain chains and outdoor decor. Stop in if you haven't been. Nice place! ????
This place has a great selection of plants of all sorts and the employees are very friendly and helpful!
Awesome place to find everything to do with plants and decorations for your garden and yard. Pleasure to visit and stroll around to see all of the plants, flowers and trees and so many unique deco ideas. Blessings Cindi
Such a variety
When it's not crowded, the service is wonderful - the people are very knowledgeable. It can be quite difficult to get someone's attention when it is busy. Prices seem a bit high, but are probably worth the smart folks. Great place to shop local.
Saw s Facebook post this week about some beautiful ruffled pansies. Had to stop and pick some up!
Bought an Apple tree and had it delivered by the time it got delivered it was 4 days after. The poor thing looked like it was half dead.
The best in Prescott. Ken and his staff go the extra mile to be helpful, and the classes offered (free!) are very informative about growing things in our mountain zone.
Love this nursery !!
Great experience and choices as always.
Watters offers healthy plants and fair prices.
Only garden store I will purchase from. Quality of all the items are so much better than the local hardware store. Helpful staff every time I have a question get the answer and they will make other suggestions I would have never thought. It is a little drive from Chino Valley but worth the drive.
Went there to buy a house plant & they are extremely expensive. No care tags on the plants. I ended up getting the plant I wanted for $10 at Walmart, theirs was $44
Great place family owned.
I had such a great experience going to the Watters Garden Center since I have been trying to spruce up my back yard for a while and needed to get some tips. They have wonderful classes and people on staff that are "garden enthusiasts" and not just sales people. Will definitely be back!
Very knowledgeable and friendly. Beautiful plants
Beautiful layout with a great selection of offerings. The people are very friendly and knowledgeable. Definitely worth visiting regularly.
Best place to get anything for your gardening needs. They are super knowledgeable and helpful. Love their Saturday classes. It's a bit pricey when it comes to their plants but they are plants that are made for our climate.
Wowsers!! Came to the Tri-Chamber event and visited Watters for the first time. It’s Gorg and what a ridiculously awesome inventory.????
Ken Lain and the rest of his family are such a blessing to our town! My wife and I have used Ken and his staff to help us numerous times from landscaping projects with new tree plants and small pot projects for decor. Always enjoy coming here. If you need help, you can't find better people or better advice then Watters. Or outside the business for that matter.
Only a couple of the associates are knowledgeable. The manager talks over top of you and doesn't listen. The owner feels a need to record long rambling messages you have to listen to that you're not interested in when you call the store. And their plants frequently have major problems and are a huge waste of money. Been trying to do business with these people for years now and finally can no longer recommend doing business with them. Oh, and see the snarky response from the owner? I happen to live 3 blocks from waters. I moved from Dallas more than 6 years ago. Last spring I purchased asparagus in pots. Got them home to find that whoever had potted them had just picked up rubber banded bundles of roots and stuck them in the dirt. They were rotting. I've had many such issues with watters quality over the last few years. And i'll be more than happy to come down to your store and talk to you in person if you like.
???? percent transplanting success. The house potting soil is a win.
Since meeting Ken Lain at our Homeowners Assoc meeting, I have been supporting his family-owned nursery for 80+% of my needs. This will end after my latest experience. I bought $10 flowering plant which struggled from the beginning. After the initial bloom, new flower buds were formed but only on half of the plant. Those new buds opened for a day or two and then the entire plant began to deteriorate. This was obviously a defective plant that was not over-watered or under-watered. It was a full sun plant that was placed in the full sun. Forget the fact that it is a one hour trip from my home to Watter's and back, they would only refund half (that's right $5) of the purchase price. Keep in mind that this plant would have been $3.99 at Lowe's and they will give a 100% refund within a year. Guess who's getting my business from now on?
We come here for the amazing selection and knowledgeable customer service.
Superb assortment of plants & trees for the home. Knowledgeable staff are available and eager to answer questions and offer suggestions. Ample parking with easy access from Iron Springs Road.
These folks are super helpful, sharing personal secrets at their gardening classes every Saturday at 9:30
Nice, helpful staff. Very knowledgeable
Watters is absolutely the best garden center in northern Arizona! Everything we have bought there has thrived! The staff are very knowledgeable and have a true love for all that grows. Thank you for all your help over the years.
We went to the free class on ground cover and soil erosion control. The instructor, Ella, was excellent. Information from a guy named Ken was also instructive. All in all you come away from this place knowing that these guys know their stuff and what's more, they want you to succeed in your planting project. We were very impressed.
Great teachers of gardening. Ken you ROCK
AWESOME ! Answer questions immediately, assist with whatever you need, excellent information . . . and the people are FANTASTIC ! Not to mention they have free workshops and a plethora of products for your specific needs with individual instructions for use. You need anything . . . go to Watters Garden Center..
Nice plants and selection. Prices were high for what we wanted .
Ken Lain and Watter's Garden Center is the go-to place for all things green and gardening! Ken and Lisa know more about high country gardening and what grows than anyone else in the county. They can give complete answers and solutions to your thorniest questions, due to their decades of experience. The Watters special formulations help enrich our tricky soils and bring forth gorgeous color and flowers and greenery. Your garden will never look more beautiful than after a trip to Watter's garden center.
Upon telephoning Watters Garden Center, the associate who answered the phone was very abrupt. When I introduced myself I was confronted as if I was a sales call not a customer. After explaining that I was not selling anything. I proceeded to tell her I wanted to purchase a gift of a couple of flats of Vegetable Starts for my mother who loves to garden and lives in Prescott proper. I explained that she had just completed her last round of chemotherapy, I thought that a gift of some vegetable starts would be just the thing to cheer her up and get her raised bed garden started for the season. The woman on the telephone seemed in a rush, when I asked her if her nursery made deliveries. She stated with some insolence that the minimum charge for deliveries in Prescott proper was $50.00, From the brusque tone of her voice I did not bother to ask any more questions as to what she had in stock. Out of town customers, don't bother calling. They seemed too busy to want to deal with such an insignificant order.
Good place to go for great plants.
No one is more knowledgeable about local lawns, gardens, and landscaping than Ken and Lisa Lain and their amazing staff! The big chains are okay, but they don't know what works well here and what doesn't - they just want to make a sale. Watters guarantees what they sell and the quality can't be beat! We are so lucky to have them in our community.
Place is laid out nice, doesn't have the commercial that is typical of some home-improvement stores. Staff was friendly, reached out to us to assist and had good advice on product my wife had been looking for. Employee created a sale by interacting with us; we hadn't planned on buying anything as we were on our way back to Phoenix and just wanted to look.
A+ service the owners helped personally????????????????them. Blessed by GOD Himself
Oh my goodness, what a beautiful spot to shop at and add to that really helpful and friendly persons to assist and answer questions. I think they love their jobs!
Absolutely a must go for all garden lovers
They always have what I'm looking for
Great Saturday Garden Class
Have been to many garden nurseries and this one stands as an excellent choice for quality and service....
Exception garden center and perfect for someone like me who moved from the midwest where everything was easy to grow. Watters carries unsurpassed high quality items with the widest variety and most unique items! Their expert staff has always been able to assist me with my gardening questions, whether in person or by phone. Thank you for being here to help my landscape and garden thrive!
Too many water needy plants.
Love this place. Great products, helpful people and wonderful classes. A tad pricy, but worth it out you like buying things one and have them last.
We drive one hour and 20 minutes to shop at Waters. When we started using their specialized plant food, we noticed a dramatic difference in our trees and plants.
I love Watters. Best quality plants and materials, great service.
Watters always has a great selection of plants and flowers with knowledgeable, patient, helpful people to answer my many questions and offer advice.
Really varied selection of mostly high-quality pots, urns.. vesels. Staff is friendly. They get new stock very frequently.
Very classy and attention to detail. Lots of friendly workers to answer my questions. Plants and sections were well marked. Very helpful staff. Can be a little pricey, but if you want quality, this is the place.
Met the owner Ken and he made the sale. Great knowledge of the trees and was very helpful. I highly recommend this nursery.
Watters Garden Center has been one of our clients since 2003. They are truly a pleasure to work with.
Waters Gardens is the best nursery around. The plants are beautifully displayed to give you lots of ideas for your own garden!
Got our beautiful FRESH Xmas tree at Watters today. They have the best!
Ella was extremely helpful and very knowledgeable about all the plants. She even teaches a class there on Saturdays which my wife plans to attend.
GREAT CLASSES EVER TO LEARN ABOUT ALL KINDS OF GROWING
Big selection, but big prices too. Good quality, and plant taken care of.
Perfect
Amazing local Gem! We used to get our soil and plants from one of those Depot Mart things. Never again! We have never had such a bountiful garden like this before. Ever since we started using their soil we can truly see and taste the difference! Thank you Watters! The owner even told me happy birthday on social media???? pretty nice to get a personal message from the owner of a business like this!
Great plants, wonderful service, and I love the breadth of knowledge they have!
Love this Garden Center!
Megan was very helpful today. She helped us thru all our garden issues. She also looked at a plant we bought somewhere else and was kind enough to offer her help. We love their advice and fertilizer. We bought a beautiful butterfly plant and care items today. THANK YOU MEGAN for all your help and looking at our barrel cactus.
Wonderful helpful employees give us all the information we needed
Ken and his staff are full of knowledge! Always a fun place to go and bring a little home.
Watters Garden Canter has a great selection of plants and a knowledgable staff. Always able to find what I want and enjoy the shopping experience
Looking for Red Hot Pokers. They had 3 pots. They were small but hearty looking. So I bought one.
Excellent service. Very helpful advice.
I am new to Prescott, after having lived in the heat of Phoenix for 25 years. I love the true seasons. Ken's newsletter is helping me acclimate and teaching me new plant varieties that grow at this higher elevation. The beautiful yellow, orange, and red leaves have been so enjoyable. My tomatoes made it through the whole summer without burning up and producing fruit all season! I planted rhubarb and hope next Spring to get some decent stalks. This is great fun! I know I will enjoy trying out the new plants I continue to learn about in the future. Thanks!
What a wonderful class. Very knowledgeable. You can buy whatever they sell confidently as they won't sell plants that won't survive in this climate. A little pricey but if it actually grows your dollars ahead. Very helpful folks
We had know idea what we wanted. Michelle took us under her wing and we walk out of there with a beautiful combination of plants. Michelle real explained what would grown in our area. We will definitely go back just to talk to her.
Best selection of beautiful plants and friendly faces!!
Fair warning if you buy something and it dies they will only refund half your money. No exchanges what so ever??? Makes no sense at all. We just wanted a new one. We spent a small fortune a couple weeks ago for just the basics. Our whole yard is a blank canvas and i have been dreaming of all the cool things Waters carries...Very disappointing I guess shopping local is a no go!!! Homedepot here we come.
All ways helpful, employees are knowledgeable. Awesome.
Not a bad experience if you don't mind not getting any service because the employees are too busy talking to their friends. Otherwise, a nice- looking place.
Always wonderful!!!
Good variety of plants suited to the local area and helpful and knowledgeable staff.
Nobody knew anything. Tree man that is advertised to be there daily M-F not there and nobody could say when he'd be in. Told us to go online and order it ourselves and have it shipped to them. NOT!!!!
We stopped here on a recent trip to Prescott in search of a housewarming gift for a family member. We were referred to Ella, who took the time to help us put together a beautiful arrangement. The staff couldn't have been more helpful and friendly, and we left completely satisfied with our experience. Thanks again.
Great selection of Pansies.
Experts in their business area. Knowledgeable with weekly seminars at the nursery and on line with their free membership
A little overpriced but you certainty get what you paid for. Staff, especially Amy, were great.
A REAL nursery... Excellent healthy plants helpful & informed staff... No waiting, lines, confusion prompt courteous verifiable and informed answers to all questions
Totally and completely over priced! Don't understand how they stay in business. Must be a lot of folks too lazy to check out other sources.
The staff are the most friendly knowledgeable people you will ever meet.
Have always had great service, friendly staff, good product.
They have everything n great quality They deliver n plant for a charge. Very knowledgeable people who are there to help.
So many plants and in great condition
Great event
Stunning looking plants, very helpful personnel, excellent advice, great classes, everything you need for a beautiful yard.
A nice variety of plants, trees and supplies. The people are very nice and most are knowledgeable in general with some having quite a bit of experience in specific areas. The prices are a bit high but that is expected in a full time nursery.
Good place to shop for the garden
What a nice nursery. The staff is great and very helpful as well as very knowledgeable. Saturday classes are very helpful.
Very nice but very pricey!
We have been buying from Watters for all our gardening and landscaping needs for many years and they have always been great. We are currently planting fruit trees and plants on a two-acre lot we recently bought. Ken and his staff have been so very helpful in helping us choose the best trees for our location and giving us guidance on tips and timing for planting. Ken even said we can take pictures when we finish building and we can have him help us with our final landscaping. 5 stars just aren't enough for the great service we have received. We highly recommend Watters for all your gardening and landscaping needs.
Very knowledgeable. Always know what to do with a sick plant.
Larry was exceptionally knowledgeable and helpful about what plants will survive deer and havalina in the forested areas of Prescott,
Always a pleasant experience.
They really care here. About nature in general and helping folks have a great time outside in their gardens. Animals, too.
Great nursery with beautiful plants, especially the flowers. Helpful and friendly staff. I think some items could be purchased online for less money, but Watters has plants in all stages of growth.
Ken and his staff are extremely helpful and very knowledgeable about what we need to grow quality plants in this area. The quality of their inventory is second to none. My wife and I only use Watters Garden Center for our plant and tree needs.
Love Watter's, best in town in my opinion.
Great variety of things that grow here!Always expert help.
Love this place! Very helpful and very knowledgeable about plants! Very friendly with me and have lots of patience for me when I ask lots of questions in writing as I’m deaf. They are very serious about plant care!
Very helpful. Thanks Ken!
Waters is a nice place to shop for your plants and needs for your yard and stuff a nice little pricey but they are very helpful when you need it
Nice place, great selection, very helpful.
Great place, wonderful and educated employee's
Watters is one of the greatest places in Prescott. More of a destination than a business. The staff are very helpful and knowledgeable. They stand behind everything they sell.
Very friendly staff. Awesome little nursery. I want to thank the owner and management for helping is out with our VA hospital float for the Prescott parade. It was really kind of you guys to help us out God bless you and your staff
Love this place! Always so helpful when I have questions.
Good place for gardeners. Somewhat expensive but we'll see if it's worth it.
Huge selection of house plants and everyone is so friendly and helpful! This is by far my new favorite place to go for anything plant related.
Beautiful garden center. Plants are vibrant and wide selection to choose from. The staff is friendly and incredibly helpful and knowledgeable.
