We hired KTS to prune back our maple trees as well as cut substantial overgrowth on a large oak in our back yard. They acted with speedy service and Mark communicated with me regularly as to progress of the job. The post cut clean-up was a huge help as we had a lot of brush to get rid of. Extremely professional service. Would highly recommend.

Fantastic service. Asked for a quote, got an immediate response with a very reasonable price. I had a 30 foot ash tree that needed to be removed and they got it out in a few days. I chose Kildonan Tree Services because it's a green company, the quote I got was reasonable so I accepted; the work was done with no hiccups but after the removal of the dead wood I discovered gouges and scratches in the paint on my freshly renovated deck. When I complained about it, it was suggested that my deck was 'due for a paint job anyway' (it was done three months ago) so basically saying that I was trying to pull a fast one to lower my bill! I ended up with a $50 deduction to cover the price of a can of paint, so now I have the extra hassle of getting paint and repairing the damage - not a happy customer. I've worked hard my whole life and I don't appreciate having my reputation tarnished like that!

In this time of the pandemic most businesses have reduced their service levels, but not Kildonan Tree Service Ltd. I was shocked when I first called them to be told someone would be around to look at our blue spruce concerns next week. Who would have thought?? And it happened! Thank you!

Our quote was placed on May 19 for tree and stump removal, and two weeks (June 1st) later we confirmed the quote and they said they would have it done within 3-4weeks. This was not so. On July 17th they came and cut down the tree however, the branches sat in the backyard for a week and a bit before they came and took it a way. During this time they dried up and left mounds of pine needles everywhere. It is now August 6th, and still the stump has not been removed. It seems like the only way to get them to come by is to call several times and remind them to come by. To top it all off, each time I tried to speak with them I was met with unprofessional Associate. Would not recommend if you are looking for someone reliable.

So today I saw an owner or employee use poor judgment. They took their family to 7 11 to get slurpies while their is a Covid pandemic. All the family members had to go into 7 11 to get their own slurpie when stores are max at 10 percent. ON top of that the father who drives a Kildonan Tree Service truck was asked to put on his mask. He smirked and said he forgot then put it on. Maybe its a joke to you sir but with the jokers like you we continue to have lock downs.

Booked for cankerworm spray on June 8th. As of June 23rd they'd still not sprayed. We were told when we booked that they were busy and we'd be put on the schedule for our neighbourhood but 2 weeks seems pretty crazy. I'd recommended them to a number of neighbours (3-4) due to the competitive price but all my neigbours had the same experience and cancelled. Was mostly disappointed that around week 1 when my wife called and inquired about a timeframe and said we'd "pre-paid" the woman on the phone was very rude and said we hadn't in fact "pre-paid" just "pre-auth'd" on our credit card (semantics) and hung up on my wife. A number of other people in our neighbourhood went with other companies and have been sprayed already. Would not recommend.

We had an unhealthy elm that had some rotten and dead branches - periodically large branches would break off during storms. Kildonan came and pruned it for us a few weeks ago. During the freak snow + wind storm this fall, that tree lost a few twigs. That's it. They worked quickly, and were professional and courteous. We'll be calling them for future pruning, and will enthusiastically recommend them to our friends.

Want to make this short and sweet. Do not use Kildonan Tree Service. They have the worst customer service. I wasn't even a customer. My neighbour got some work done at his home. Kildonan Tree Service parked there service truck in front of my house and unloaded their tractor on the city property in front of my home. Normally I wouldn't mind, but a few days before I put 3 yards of topsoil and seeded it. Kildonan Tree service left huge ruts in the freshly layed topsoil. It bothered me, why didn't they use the boulevard in front of the house they were working on? So, I called and filled a complaint. The owner/manager was on the defensive. I asked her to calm down numerous times. When I asked to speak to another manager or the owner, she threw the women card on me. Long story short, I hung up and fixed the mess they made myself. Not worth it, but I did take pictures of there negligent ignorant mistake. So like the previous complaint, avoid at all costs, even if their quote is cheaper by $300.00. Its not worth it! Kildonan Tree Service has the worst customer service ever.

I will recommend Kildonan Tree Service to everyone who asks. Kildonan was the best price we found to remove 5 Manitoba Maples from our yard. The trees were cut the first day. The branches shredded while someone came to get the wood the second day. The third working day (long weekend) the stumps were all removed (ground down). Great immediate service (done before the promise dates). Very professional. Very accommodating (the cutting and clean up crew obliged my request to save parts for a project). Did a wonderful job on the clean up. If I could give more than 5 stars I would.

Kildonan provided us with the best quote; with a savings over one thousand dollars when comparing companies! The tree we had removed had grown in and around our neighbors garage (prior to us taking residence) and was overhanging on their property. The tree take down service, clean up, and all communication with Kildonan was excellent! We highly recommend this company to anyone looking for professional and affordable service.

I was very happy with the service and job done by kildonan tree service. They removed our two trees and a few stumps. I contacted a few companies for quotes and they were the only one that responded to my emails either that day or the next. Also, the only company the had the best, fair quote. The job was done in a timely matter. They kept to their word as to when they said it would get done, it got done. Very pleased with our overall experience with them, I would definitely recommend and use them again.

We used Kildonan tree service this past week to remove sick green ash tree from our yard. The initial visit with the estimator was handled very quickly and the fellow was extremely knowledgeable and courteous. I asked the office for a heads up when our removal day was getting close as my husband had to take down a section of our chain link fence but they called 15 minutes before they arrived. The 2 guys doing the cutting down were very good at that but several shrubs got damaged from dropped branches. The chipper truck & clean up crew were a different story. Arrived at 7:15 a.m., (very irate neighbours) and never knocked on the door so no vehicles got moved. Dragged all branches from the back yard to the truck through our shared side yard. and left a solid trail of broken twigs etc from the front to the back. The tree was in the middle of a garden so it is covered with leaves and twigs as well. What a mess to clean up for 2 seniors. Had to totally rake before we could even cut the grass. That is why they only got a 3 star.

Kildonan Tree Service did a great job on our trees. They took down our diseased apple tree in the middle of a flower bed and didn't damage a thing. The very next day they brought the chipper for clean up and left the yard all nicely raked and branch free.

Great price, got a quote and took a while for them to come and remove the stump. Also needed to small shrubs and root removed. Only cut the shrub no roots removed. Service is 3/5 for me. Keep up the good work.

A neighbour hired them to do some work. They climbed onto the roof of my garage without asking permission and dropped large branches onto the roof. They also didn't clean up before leaving, so my eavestroughs were full of leaves and sticks, and large branches were all over my backyard and driveway. Don't hire unless you want your neighbour to hate you.

I've used them twice in three years for 30 to 40 foot oaks in the front yard on a busy street. Quick, tidy and organized. Cut down, brush shredded and stump ground within four days. I loaded up the stove length logs and done.

I have several tall trees with branches over hanging neighbour's yards on three sides. My main concern were the huge branches reaching up and over my roof. I had been referred to Kildonan Tree Service Ltd. by a friend who had had work done and was very happy with the results. I called in early Spring, and it was mentioned that it could be twelve weeks or more before the work could be done. I understood that they were behind. A quote was given the following day... and although the wait was long, the service was exceptional. The crew were very hard working. Six hours later, all cutting and shredding of limbs and branches as well as a very good clean up was completed. Early the next day, all the huge stumps were removed from my backyard. I was a very happy customer. I'd recommend them to anyone. And, I believe I was charged a very fair price for all of that work. :)

Friendly staff who get the job done! So many companies say they'll show up at a certain time and then may wander in hours later...not Kildonan Tree Service! Every aspect of our massive tree removal was done on time and as quoted. We had other companies give us quotes, and Kildonan is comparable to the others, but their customer service is what gives them the upper hand. Have called on them twice for work in the past 2 years and they will get our future business too.

I called about getting two stumps removed back in may and was provided a quote quite quickly. I decided to move ahead with getting the stumps removed and was told it could 4 weeks or so as they were behind. That was fine. It has now been almost 16 weeks and I still have the stumps and have not heard from any one at Kildonan even after I made a follow up call in july. I understand this year has been difficult for everyone but to not have had a least a phone call after this amount of time seems unacceptable to me. I guess they do not care about the little guy and the smaller jobs so I will be calling someone else. ***EDIT*** As soon as I let them know I would go elsewhere they were over the next day. Very happy with the work and how clean the yard was left. Thanks.
