Exceeded our expectations in every way! Our existing 9 year old retaining wall was failing throughout a 70' section,, including an 8' section that was completely eroded away near the middle of the wall. With both the safety of our kids, the stability of our yard, and concern for our neighbour below, we needed to act quickly to fix our wall. Additionally, we required a second, smaller wall to be rebuilt (originally out of Allen Block, but Joe proposed it be completed out of rock, which turned out to be a great modification), addition to a rock staircase, as well as relaying sod, reshaping the landscaping, and re-plumbing irrigation zones. Not a small project by any means. Joe came out right away to discuss, and we immediately felt comfortable with Joe's assessment of the project and his proposed solution. He provided a detailed quote and his pricing was very fair for the scope of the project. Much to our amazement, Joe started the project after a couple of days, and had to work through the cold snow of the prolonged winter. Every step of the way Joe was able to provide updates on site, describe the next phase, and advise of the work that he had done, keeping us at ease. Joe went above and beyond in many areas of the project, adding extra details that we wouldn't have thought of or considered. This week, our project came to completion. The work is incredible, with guests commenting they immediately notice the new retaining wall and it's shape (and even it's art form!). Our yard is bigger, safer, more secure, and looks like a completely new property. Joe is clearly proud of his work, puts extra effort into making sure things are done right, and the results speak for themselves. There aren't enough words to express our appreciation to Joe for the work he completed, and how incredible our yard now looks. Don't hesitate to hire Top Tier Rock Walls for your project. Excellent Capable Contractor I had Joe Ritchie and his crew landscape a portion of my back yard. it included a two tier retaining wall, relocating the sprinkler valve boxes, installing and levelling an area for a shed, routing wiring for landcaping lighting, repiping the pool heater gas piping, and repaving a patio. The project turned out great. Joe's estimate for the length of time it took to do the project was bang on, and the job didnt drag on for weeks and weeks. His crew was in and had the work completed promptly. Besides the quality of the work and the schedule, from the start I had a lot of confidence in Joe. He was quickly able to understand the scope and details of the project. After our first meeting, it was clear he understood the picture I had of what the finished project would look like. In addition, there were several items that had to be included that were unforseen (like any project). Joe was very fair with the extra cost for these items. I would not hesitate to recommend his company to my friends and family.

I had a downward sloping back yard and wanted to regain some of my flat yard area. I had Joe build a retaining wall, install a brick patio, a flagstone garden area, prepare and finish new yard area, and install irrigation system. Joe was super pleasant and easy to work with.
